With that said, it you tack on a + to your desired temperature you’re asking for them to screw it up. You aren’t really being clear on what you want. Do you want medium or do you want medium rare? There isn’t a significant enough difference between the two to be asking for it. The cook is going to guess whether you’d rather have it medium rare or medium and then do that.
