I've had 3 diagnosed concussions in my life. One falling on some ice, and 2 playing basketball. I took a knee to the head going for a loose ball in HS and an elbow to the dome playing outside at EKU. The last one was the only one severe enough to cause vomiting.

Do I have CTE?

We all know something ain't right with me.

- I’ll be in Indy. First big neural site game for me since John Wall led Cats in MSG. May have a few extra uppers if anyone is still looking to get in the building, dad debating on joining.

- A Star is Born was solid. Not going on my top lists anytime soon, but I thoroughly enjoyed. Could have used a tad more plot and a touch less signing.

- Just spent a long weekend in Napa. Just incredibly beautiful out there. Learned a helluva lot. And spent a ****-ton. Lotta vino headed my way soon. Only got to spend 2 days actually in Napa/Sonoma, need to do a longer trip next time.

- San Francisco on the other hand...didn't seem to have a lot going on downtown for a beautiful fall Friday night. Homeless folks everywhere, and the city kinda shut down in the harbor area we were at.

- Already mentioned above, but if you had under 24 hours before Kyle Tucker inserted himself into a local tragedy go ahead and claim your prize. Predictable.

- Have to give Dr. Boat some credit, he's seriously crushing the credit card points game without getting into manufactured spending. Commendable, really. Of course, he started a text chain of experienced professionals just to brag about it, but he's getting it done.

- Finally got a full week of fall down here, hoping to squeeze out another 1 (2?!) before I start complaining about the cold. Gorgeous yesterday.

- I love traveling any chance I get, but this week/weekend off work and staying home...just what I needed. First true week like this I can remember in years.

Ways the nfl can stop CTE:

....

-Start paying players 100k instead of 100M so they won’t want to play football anymore. No football no targeting penalties no

- take off the helmets so players won’t risk their own head to damage someone else’s

- Merrill Hoge is a noted dbag and POS in the Greater Cincinnati area.

- I prefer a petite syrah. Like the spice.

- Jerimiah Earl-Robinson just cut UNC. :grimace:

Shorts:

-Minus 50mph wind gusts for a few hours one night, this weather the past week or so has been nothing short of amazing. Fall :fire:

-Heard a not-so-good stat on KSR: 6 times a team ranked in the Top 12 has been a 6+ point dog vs. an unranked team. The unranked teams are 6-0

-The NBA is off to an interesting start. Some of these young teams are really fun, the Nuggets in particular.

-Lasagna as well last night, and Vivino is indeed awesome.

-The Kroger shooting is just messed up. Wife actually had training 2 days ago on what to do in the event of a shooting there.

-Golf buddy got me a bottle of Blantons at cost yesterday -- his brother is a Manager at Republic Distributing...can see myself taking advantage of this situation quite a bit in the future.

-When did parents dressing up w/ their kids become a thing? I've got no issue with it, seems fun for the kids -- but my parents didn't, nor did any of my friends that I recall.

Of course, we went trick or treating by ourselves, and only came back when our bag wouldn't hold anymore candy. How times have changed. Mom would check for razor blades, then it was profit time.

~Still hoping ja will call or write.

What do you do at The Krogers during a shooting?

I would assume a lot of things, but I would also assume none of those things actually happen because lawyers and stuff.

Recently purchased a golf cart cover and a Mr. Heater. I always swore I'd never play winter golf, but living on a course with fellow degenerates changes you. Should be warm and toasty in the cart now while I'm outside stinging the **** out of my hands on a bladed wedge. F*ck winter.

Everyone in our office was issued a black hoodie with our logo and when the environs are a little chilly we look like a Heaven’s Gate Revival Cult.

I played a 35 degree round with a couple of dudes cruising around with that setup. They would step out to hit, wipe the sweat from their brow and run back into the cart.

I still hope you catch a pneumonia you coddled homo.

Bourbon Shorts:

- If I could find it, I’d drink Ancient Ancient Age for old fashioneds all the time. $17 and good ****. Picked up some across the river but never see it in NKY.

- Grabbed some Eagle Rare last night as I don’t see it very often. Is Buffalo Trace that hard to find? It’s always “buy one only” but you can find it damn near everywhere.

- Still swear by Col. EH Taylor Single Barrel and Small Batch. Have noticed some peeking of late.

- That Old Weller Antique store pick I have is brilliant.

- Fine line between bourbon buzz and bourbon drunk for dogdad. Was the latter Saturday night as I had some of my cronies over, was hungover as all hell Sundy.

Heated up some apple cider straight from Neltners farm and added some cheaper bourbon so that may have something to do with it.

Some jewels in here. Business as usual it seems.

If we’re being honest for a moment, Bobby Petrino has never been the most likable person. Don’t take it from me. Here’s what the man who hired him — twice — had to say upon bringing Petrino back to Louisville in January of 2014:

“I told him I didn’t like him, didn’t like the way he treated people. If I was him, I might have left after the first 30 minutes,” Tom Jurich said. “I had to be proven further than a shadow of a doubt.”

“The university is not in a position to buy him out,” U of L regent Tom Meeker told the Louisville Courier-Journal last month.

The Louisville Courier-Journal reported this week U of L police are investigating Cardinals tight end Kemari Averett for an alleged rape of a female U of L student. (Averett denied the charge when contacted by the Courier-Journal.) The rape allegedly occurred in mid-August. The victim reported the incident to the on-campus sexual assault crisis center the same day and was examined by a certified sexual assault nurse and a rape kit was administered that day. We don’t know what transpired between that mid-August date and October 8th; but on October 8th the University issued a no-contact order between the woman and Averett. On Oct. 9 the victim filed a report with University of Louisville police. Averett played in Louisville’s game on Oct. 13. He was arrested Oct. 15 for allegedly holding a gun to a different woman’s head and threatened to kill her; he was subsequently suspended indefinitely from the team.

AD Vince Tyra has denied Louisville knowingly played Averett despite the rape investigation. “If the university notifies us of information that necessitates action, we act,” he said. “We did not have information that would have suspended (him) from competition.”

Glad to see Cath Back remembering why we do this. I like Swimmer, but short of one opulent post graduation trip to Hawaii, he’s not really pulling his weight. Hasn’t even bought a hot tub yet.

Have some fun young man. Get some credit cards. Profit.

Yup, covered the entire honeymoon off points. Airfare and some fancy hotels for 8 nights in Hawaii. The best trips are rewards trips.

A buddy of mine had his own pediatric dentistry / oral surgery office in FL, two manse’s, a dope golf cart for his gated community, and drives an 18 y.o. Celica (and just throws the keys in the roof when he parks it).

I would like to see the good doctor give him a Ryan Lemond pump up speech (it wouldn’t work).

Honestly, if you just want some cheap bourbon to mix with stuff, the one Trader Joe's does is fine. I assume they get it from Buffalo Trace or somewhere.
