Welp. Tyler Herro just gave me good practice for color commentary season because I just went full Larry Conley and yelled yelled NICE PASS after that post feed on the Travis dunk. That was fantastic. Complete game on that kid. I think he might be the best passer on the team.
The Hitman is going to be a heck of an addition to the SEC Network basketball crew. He needs to get in and get out before they institutionalize him like Farnham.

- I really don’t know who our best bigs are. Pretty damn impressive quartet.

A lot of college basketballs just flat out missed on Tyler Herro. Jesus. Obviously a transcendent shooter, but also a great passer, hustles all over the place trying to track down rebounds and dig out loose balls. Just a prototypical coach's dream player. What a stud.

In all honesty, this is the only year that matters.
He’s so damn efficient. Doesn’t force anything. All within the flow of the game.
I’d start Green, Herro and Johnson. Shooting all over the floor.
That big lineup with PJ at the 3 looked surprisingly good. I could see Calipari trying that as a starting lineup and bringing Herro or Johnson off the bench.

One thing I like is nobody has any really obvious flaws that can wind up actually hurting the team. There's no guards that just can't shoot, there's nobody who needs to dominate the ball. No black holes in the post, no ball stoppers, no one forcing anything.
Everyone on the court seems to be able to get theirs within the flow of the offense, makes the extra pass, and is able to hit an open jump shot. That's pretty rare. We'll see what happens when teams are hacking and grabbing and they're being defended by Zion, Reddish, and Barrett, but I don't see how this team isn't crazy efficient offensively.

Allen on this team reminds me of Von Miller the year the Broncos won the Super Bowl. Good D around him so you couldn’t focus on Miller alone, but as disruptive as any defensive player I’ve ever seen.
Allen is arguably the best pass rusher in the country. Those guys have been a dime a dozen at UK.
In the same game, Josh Allen broke up a touchdown pass like Deion Sanders while also dominating the pocket like Reggie White. The only issue I would have with comparing Josh Allen to Couch and Cobb would be that those guys were stars who dominated almost from day one. (Couch can't be blamed for being asked to play the option.)
The guy is amazing. I don't think anyone alive in this thread has seen a defensive player at Kentucky be so dominant.

You know what, UK football is 6-1 with a defense that is legitimately stalwart and UK basketball looks like it is set to go on Sherman's March across college basketball.
