:joy: Innocent, shocked Pitino had 3 assistants flagrantly breaking NCAA rules...on top of Adidas also paying one player and ready to buy Pitino another one in ‘19.

If we are to believe that Rick didn't know what any of his assistants were doing, then doesn't that establish a complete lack of respect for Rick's authority?

I guess it leads to The A Few Good Men Conundrum:

If you gave an order that [Santiago wasn't to be touched / your assistants were to comply with NCAA rules] and your orders are always followed, then why would [Santiago be in danger / your assistants hand cash to recruits]?

I probably wouldn't stop in ATL, Mike may still be a hurricane when he gets there. Sucker is moving fast.

At this point I’m pretty happy our condo made us leave when we did. We beat nearly all the traffic out of there, got our money refunded for the days we weren’t able to stay, and basically just shifted our vacation to Nashville.

For vacationers I just don’t see the upside of staying if you’re leaving on Friday or Saturday anyway. You got yesterday, but the rest of your time will be miserable and it might take you forever to get out.

Swinging into hurricane winds would be a good opportunity to improve bat speed, though.

WKYT had a feature on a Jessamine Co family down there with 2 little boys wearing Oakleys, and it wasn't Brax. TMFS. They said they were setting up the Juggs machine on the beach to field popups in hurricane force winds while the other weaker families fled the coast.

I thought NextDoor was bad but last night I went to a “Potential Development Meeting” last night about a proposed baby boomer neighborhood that will be built on 40 acres across the street from me.

I live out near CAL and Landis Lakes but everyone is on a few acres. No one really wants a neighborhood on this side of 64 but what are you going to do.

I was the youngest person in the church and the whole meeting was Old Man Yells at Cloud for 90 minutes. Awful. My only hope is that adding these houses will get cable my way so I can leave DirectTV

Seems unlikely at this point given the circumstances. However, New Orleans is looking fairly dry, so maybe you can pour a can of gasoline over your head and light a match. Puppies scent that you can make it happen.

Mike looks like a beast and nothing to slow it down. It just kinda of popped up and didn't get nearly the attention that Florence was getting but could be much, much worse.
Those warm gulf waters are terrible for hurricane building. Michael had nothing but time and space to build.

Most will just sleep through it, probably.
Spin, spin, spin, I was talking about Florence and Irma which were CAT 2s when they hit the areas we were talking about. I’m not sticking around for anything over a 3. Solid try though.

This one is going to be gnarly and have a ton of wind damage it appears. I’m assuming Kenny Chesney and Florida-Georgia Line are down there just playing their asses off right in the face of the beast to de-escalate the situation.

California judge concludes that the NCAA's show-cause provisions violate California law because "they constitute an unlawful restraint on engaging in a lawful profession."

Just spit-balling here, but he dumb.

Yes, Judge Shaller and Larry Scott appear to be two dumbs in a pod.

"That being said", maybe Larry is dumb like a fox and sought the ruling as cover to extract the Pac 12 from the NCAA.

Burn it down.:fire:

Pres's review of Pazzo's popped up in my recommended videos. He almost redeemed himself with me. Far too lenient on it, though

He was spot on as far it being a greasy/heavy mess. Never enjoyed that place in college, mainly b/c it took a legit hour to get a damn pizza.

They still have the Mezzaluna? It was their "featured" item (some kind of half calzone, half pizza deal) bold & boxed in the center of the menu -- PTI(pti) and I ordered it one time and the server said "Ehhh yeah, the cook really doesn't like to make that, but if you really want it I guess I can check" [laughing] Swear to God.

Touch Pazzo's.

It used to be better, and not in a nostalgic sense. The quality (whatever was there to begin with) has just honestly gotten way worse. That and the crust tastes like it's made out of biscuit dough

Pazzos has a giant patio and is expanding into the Jimmy Johns part of the building which is remarkable because it’s never crowded.

- unc giving Justice Kavanaugh's accuser a distinguished alumni award. Were already #1 on my list.

- A storm chaser named Brett Adair might have just had the best feed ever. Dude had to bail out of his truck just as the storm surge hit near Mexico Beach.

Used to go to Pazzos all the time for their free beer glass giveaway on wed I think it was and pregame drink before hitting up Kitty O’Shea’s for the night, their pizza was always meh as it was too filling. That whole area is unrecognizable every time I go back. If you told me pazzos would end up being the big place there over Tally Ho or Kennedy’s I would’ve thought you were nuts.

I miss the U Club which was what Kitty O'Shea's used to be. That was the first "college bar" 18-year old Wayne Dougan snuck into with the ID of some dude who's probably old enough to collect Social Security at this point. I don't know what it was, but just the name "U Club" sounded cool - like this is what college bars are supposed to be about. Then it became the faux Irish pub Kitty's - no thanks.
