* Jambalaya >>> gumbo.

* Guy I work with grew up well off -- his parents owned several McDonald's businesses down here in an area similar to a Nicholasville. His dad sold it all before he passed, and my buddy had a chance to buy in, but declined. His brother in-law bought the company instead, and now owns 27 of them, and lives in the Bahamas. What an idiot. He even worked in the stores all the way up thru college, but just wasn't interested.

Next to owning a Cajun quick-casual junt in Bullitt County, is there a more sure thing that owning a McD's?

* Weekend recaps....

Thursday = our boy wcc is super domesticated. I mean, his house is CUTE. subway tile backsplashes all over, reading nooks with decorative throw pillows, matching bedding sets, the works. tots adorbs. love that neighborhood, as everything is low key and walkable. great blackout-ish evening with he and abh.

Friday = parents now live in Greenbrier, and the highlight of my dad's new life is taking his golf cart out of his golf cart garage and driving it to the clubhouse to tie one on. And we did.

Saturday = beautiful 10-mile run around Keeneland and Calumet with my mom and her crew. easy to take the rolling hills and pristine farms for granted.

* Game thoughts....

- josh allen makes my dick hard
- i'm continually frustrated by the fact that we just cannot throw the ball. at some point, we're going to play from behind this season, and we're going to need that weapon. really need to get hoak some reps, imo.
- good thing about our offense, though....we do our damage in the second half. our rushing attack is so punishing, these teams just get worn down and we can pretty much run at will.
- snell is top-5ish in rushing yards and TDs in the country so far. and, his most underrated skill......he LOVES mugging for the camera. :joy:
- allen was basically double teamed all night, which frees up the rest of the line to do work. just an amazing talent.
- sat in the loge section, thanks to anth/big anth. not a single rain drop on this guy. I mean, the rest of you people were cold and wet, but you asked for it. work harder, imo. you brought this on yourself.
- 2-point dog to south Carolina??? [pfftt]

* Stoops "gets it" way more than he gets credit for, and always has. Voluntarily called in the KSR postgame show, with his proverbial D just swinging all over. Even made sure to point out he's done the same after losses, too. He clearly knows that Jones/the KSR boys are the voice of the fan, so good for him.

* Car broke down on the interstate on Saturday, roughly 170 miles from home. 5 hours and a $500 tow truck bill later, I got to catch the final 10 minutes of the game. #blessed

* A win Saturday against USC would be almost as impressive to me as the win against MSU, given the potential for a letdown. It would be completely natural to come out flat -- especially with 4 straight wins in the series -- so I'm curious to see what kind of team shows up. Thank you, Vegas, for making the Cats an underdog.

* Speaking of which, I was less surprised by the UK/USC line than I was the FSU @ UofL line. It opened at FSU -5½, and has moved up to FSU -6. Florida State is terrible. Louisville is a DISASTER. It's glorious.

* There's a chance that after Saturday, UK will be favored in 4 more games: Vandy, MTSU, @ UT, @UofL. (Mizzou is better than people think.) Is 9 regular season wins in play? TEN? Crazy talk.

"I didn't feel for sorry for any of them. I hope they're all crying, I hope they're all sobbing. I hope their girlfriends broke up with them. I don't care about them at all."

-Kash 3:16.

:joy::joy::joy::joy:

"We won this game on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday."

THAT's how it's Fng done. :100points:

Sun Tzu agrees.

Kash even made reference to "mainstream media". [laughing]

-Kash Daniel is basically Richie Farmer on JACK3D.

-Goodness. When has Duke lost a basketball recruit to Tennessee?

-Folks were out of town last week, so I picked up their mail/LHL each day. The LHL is two measly sections during the week. TWO. I realize newspapers are a failing dinosaur, but still. It's basically turned into the Owensboro Messenger-Inquirer.

-Speaking of the LHL, did anyone read that article about all the local restaurants that are on probation with the Health Dept? Goodness, some recognizable names in there. Sahara, Ramsey's, Qdoba, Cheddar's, Saul Good. I'm okay if a place happened to have a dishwasher that wasn't quite getting hot enough. But once the words "rodents" and "insects" are dropped, thanks for playing!

-Ercel Ellis is gonna be doing horse racing shows from beyond the grave.

I ate a Mexican restaurant a few weeks ago, and about three days after there was a report in the paper that they were shut down because of a "disgusting roach infestation". [sick]

It was a direct quote from the health department report. Typically, they'd just say "roach infestation" as it kind of speaks for itself. I imagine there must've been roaches crawling all over everything for the health department to specifically state "disgusting".

Got a salt gun for unwanted insects in the house. Basically an air rifle/shotgun that uses salt. And it’s awesome. Flys, spiders, bees...dead AF. Doesn’t damage windows or floors.

Not sure it would handle a roach though.

Will it kill moths?

The first thing I want to be done is to get that piece of crap off of my field. Don't just get them off of the field, get them out of the SEC, because I proved, son, without a shadow of a doubt, that you ain't got what it takes anymore! You sit there, and you thump your cowbell, and you say your prayers, and it didn't get you anywhere. Talk about your D-line, talk about Fitzgerald 3:16 - KASH 3:16 SAYS I JUST WHIPPED YOUR ***! All they've gotta do is go buy them a cheap bottle of Thunderbird and try to get back some of that courage they had in their prime. As the King of the Ring, I'm servin' notice to every one of the 'SEC superstars.' I don't give a damn what they are, they're all on the list, and that's Kash Money's list, and I'm fixin' to start runnin' through all of them. As far as this SEC East championship is considered, son, I don't give a damn if it's Jake Fromm or Jake Bentley. Kash Daniel's time has come, and when I get the shot, you're lookin' at the next SEC East Champion, and that's the bottom line because Kash Money said so!

An underrated part of the Kash Daniel interview (beyond the fact that he ate a chicken sandwich the whole time) is that he started off with making fun of Kylin Hill:

"That guy sure talked a lot for someone who ended up rushing for 14 yards."
