Product of the Lexington public school system here.

If my parents had shipped me off to boarding school, man, maybe I’d have cured cancer by now.

Boz - my little brother played LB in football.

Squirrley - nickname my dad gave me.

Firedog - friend growing up we nicknamed that because he would suck the roach of a joint while still light.

Most of our crew in high school adopted a nickname based solely on their first or last four letters of their last name.

Lowdog - football teamate

Gilly - Miquel was his first name.

Mousey - friend from the hood.

Crock - friend with last name Crook.
Not only are those nicknames terrible, so are you. You are, quite literally, the worst poster in the Paddock. Stop cluttering GYERO.

I lived in Lexington since college (until June) and not once did I hear Woodberry Forest ever mentioned.

Guess I should have loitered around Wheeler Pharmacy more

Pretty pumped that Andy Katz left Keldon Johnson off this list, tbh. Wouldn't surprise me if John told Katz to do it.

- Lotta boarding school/prep folks up in New England. Had no idea until I lived up there.

Evidently (and of touching course) it's a big thing down here in Nashville too, as are these super secret small prep schools for the kids of the music industry elite.

- Starting to turn a corner for actual fall down here. eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeek

- Have to run/lift/something 5-6x days a week or else I'd go insane. Oh and fat. My genetics are not in vanity's favor.

And the scenery at most of the HIIT type gyms down here...shew.

- Rough gambol in weeks 1 and 2, but I'm feeling very good heading into week 3. CUE. IT. UP.

Were their football teams any good? I went to an Idle Hour wedding a few years ago and the Woodberry Forest groom/groomsmen were talking smack in their toasts about a rivalry with Episcopal and I had some doubts tbh.
There are many things I like about Lexington, but this kind of thing makes me want to burn the entire city to the ground and salt the earth where it stood.

My dad was “Mooch”.

I run an average of 6 days a week and if I miss a day, everything is off. It’s for sanity and podcast listening.
Can verify both.

Also, no boarding school threats in Shivley. Not sure I even heard of such until after college. Our threats were, "You want to go to Western or Valley?" -- Hard Pass

Yes. Down to a Cat 2. I rode out Cat 2 Irma in a house on the water in Tampa. My girlfriend and her dad slept through it like it was any other night.

And don't be fooled by the fact that Florence has weakened slightly to a strong Category 2 hurricane. Categories only represent the speed of sustained winds, and these are still destructive.
"I don't care if this goes down to a Category 1. We're still going to have a Category 4 storm surge," CNN meteorologist Chad Myers said.

They exaggerate much of the time. Not saying it won't happen but we were supposed to get 6-9 ft surge and got 0. Also, the weather channel was showing Irma flooding in Key West and it was actually footage from Wilma in 2006 because it was more devastating and looked better on tv.

GD, now working at a bar in Key West makes you a expert on Hurricanes. The only Hurricane you rode out was Hurricane Big Johnson plowing you after he tipped you well all night getting soused on Hurricanes at your bar.

No but being through the biggest hurricane the Atlantic has ever seen makes me know more than you probably. Plus, the footage of the flooding was absolute malarkey. The street where I lived at the time was shown having 6 feet+ of water flowing. When I got home none of us had any flood damage so yeah they tend to exaggerate because they finally get ratings.

Also that guy was named Rick, not hurricane Big Johnson.

So you rode out an Atlantic hurricane, moving from east to west, on the Gulf Coast, and that's supposed to be indicative of a Cat 2 hurricane surge? False. You rode out a heavy downpour and negative surge.

Tell you ******** something, 4:00 on a September Thursday like this and with a home game Saturday, a younger SAECATFAN had called it a week and was looking to score some ice cold domestos on the UK caimpus 2000-2004.

Front porch to watch the lassies walk by before cleaning up and hitting the World Famous patio.

Wow, this is a STRUGGLE for some of you. I said the weather people exaggerate. Hence why I said we were projected to get 6-9 foot storm surge but got nothing. We still had really bad wind and damage from it. Storm surge usually comes from the eastern eye wall, that's why Big Pine Key got leveled with 8ft storm surge and key west had almost none.

Your post read like you were downplaying a cat 2 hurricane, bragging that you'd ridden one out and weren't impressed. I rode out the north side of cat 2 Isabel when she hit and I'm pretty sure NO ONE was sleeping through it like any other night. Cat 2's can be devastating, particularly if they're large and slow, like Florence.
