Bring back the Oklahoma multiple wishbone offense. Make Turnover Terry into Jamelle Hollieway and we are all set with Benny Snell and AJ Rose. Throw King in there as the 4 man.

FSU fans share a similar level of delusion that UL fan does. They were pretty confident Taggart was their guy. He can recruit but that dude has no business calling plays.

Wildcat Willy probably yells for the Ohio side before the fireworks smdh

Wildcat Willy didn't even pay one bit of attention to the fireworks and hasn't for the last 12 years.

Loveland SmugLifers have no need for river rats and their firecrackers.

* I make my soccer coaching debut tonight as the Loveland Bumblebees take on some poor unsuspecting victim. Then I'm coming back to work.

* Toyota USA Road Trip shoot went well. I put nearly 2400 miles on my 4Runner. At $.545 per mile, that is a nice little bonus.

* Going to miss the UK vs Duke game. I'm going to go all Baldwin and take a trip to Paris. Never been across the pond.

* My 14-20 hour work days are going to continue thru the next couple of weeks. This long weekend was much needed to recharge my batteries.

* Considering we made 4 TOs in the 1st half, 35 pts was pretty good for the ol' gridiron Cats. I know the Throw it Deep Jahrud crew wasn't happy, but I'll take it.

There is absolutely nothing wrong with running the ball if you are good at it, and I don't understand why fans hate it so much. Many prefer entertainment over winning games, I guess?

* Obviously, Florida is going to either beat us by 40 or by some miraculous, stupid play on our part.

* Smoked some ribs and drank some beer yesterday. I enjoy Labor Day.

A lot of the UF fans on the main board are seemingly thinking Mullen drops the game Saturday and it's a good time to lose to UK because it's his first year.

I'm dumbfounded that anyone that has seen the last 30+ years of UK/UF football could think anything short of all the UF players getting the flu or suspended for CC theft would lead to a UK win. Especially in motherf'ing Gainesville.

I'm always a bit suspect of people who honestly believe that we are "waiting to open the playbook" until later in the season. Like we will just unleash some new type of video game offensive scheme in week 2... Sure they may feel more confident in a couple of wrinkles as the year goes on, but we are a run-first offense that doesnt really have a deep threat. We can probably still have success playing to the strengths.

Not sure what to think of Terry's performance. Tough to have any expectations for a guy in his first start, but I was hopeful that he threw a better ball. WE'LL SEE.

Westry. Woof.

All 3 running backs however, I like watching

Pearl Jam show was one of the better nights in my recent memory. Played for close to 3 hours. Crowd was into it the entire time. Really good set list, obviously a cool venue.

I dont have much for Boston... Don't hate it, but not really a favorite place to visit. I do enjoy the coastal towns on the drive up north through New England, though.

The Jack Ryan series on Amazon was worth a watch... a bit of a watered down version of Homeland S1-S2.

I'll tell you what really worried me - that floater out in the flat that got picked off - it was one of the worst throws I have ever seen in college football. The only thing that I've seen compare to it is when a team calls a half-back pass and the RB throws off-balance to the opposite side of the field. Just terrible.

I rarely, if ever, lie to my wife. Just don't see the need to.

But when she asked me if I'll miss her a lot when she's gone for 10 days, I hesitated. Women need to understand that when you give a man a 10 day vacation from any responsibility, we seize it like we're ordering a last meal on death row.

She was seriously thinking of cutting it short yesterday and after a pep talk and redirecting her to what's ahead, still have through Sat to accomplish absolutely not a GD thing.

David Says
  • His nickname is “Bouv"
  • He chose Kentucky because he grew up in Lexington and always wanted to go to UK
  • Other than playing in the NFL, his dream job is to be a pro baseball player
  • One word to describe him on the field is "scrappy"
  • If he could trade places with someone for one day he would choose Coach Stoops so he could walk around like a boss

-48 hours left alone is all that I should be afforded. At 36 I have no control over myself or my vices and will drive myself into the ground if given much more than that.

-QB play is a wildcard for sure, but other than that I think this team has some potential. Cliche though it may be, we're pretty damn physical.

-You don't change who you are offensively throughout a season but you absolutely expand the playbook and do more as you go. I think we've clearly established that we're a running team (or aim to be one), which will make Conrad infinitely more dangerous. Suspect he'll have a big game Saturday, in fact.

-Overall I was fine with it. Mistakes cost us. Shutting them down and coming from behind like we did was a good indication for me.

-Bottomline: Don't have to win this Saturday but it can't be another ALL SYSTEMS FAILURE like we see every season. Merely eliminating those disasters would be a huge step for Stoops and co.

Right now I say it's a 4 quarter game that Florida will need to make plays late to win.

I will write it off (for now) as first game under the big lights jitters. Hell Penn State needed overtime, and a few other teams a lot better then UK struggled against lesser teams in week 1.

It's one thing to have 10 days of freedom, binging on Chinese, Greek, and any other foods she won't eat, but trade-off is getting kids up for school, dressed, fed, to and from practices, and possibly in the middle of games you want to watch, seriously inconveniencing your couch time.

The playbook will not be opened up. In fact they're talking making it more simple, since apparently our QB's can't handle the RPO's. QB play on Saturday was garbage and teams with good defenses will just load the box and dare us to run. Conrad will remain criminally underused.

Remember that one turnover our defense could have had but our senior CB decided to just dish out some good ol fashioned CTE instead of simply catching the football? That was great.

* Swearing to boycott Nike from here to eternity is the very essence of triggered/snowflake, no?

* Weekend at Pensacola Beach, and the weather was perfect. Hung out at the lassies friends beach house in the quiet end of town. Boozed. Ate. Etc.

* There are silver linings in Saturday’s performance, but I’m already exhausted agonizing over our ridiculously boring, antiquated, ultra conservative offense. With any semblance of a passing game, we’d be a damn good football team.

This team just has “uninspired 7 wins” written all over it.

* Late: that OJ interview on Who Is America.

Holy mother of god. :joy:

* Time to prepare for Hurricane Gordon.

- His sister pronounced it Boo-vee-ay in college FWIW.

- Long weekend in Boston was incredible. 75 and sunny the entire time. Got to stop in all my favorite spots in Seaport and Back Bay.

Saturday hit up Capitol Grille downtown, there was a nice little promotion called Generous Pour running for the weekend. Featured 7 wines from a single vineyard in Napa, and essentially unlimited glasses. $28 a person. Hell of a hangover Sunday morning. Shew.

Found ourselves on a Boston Harbor party cruise Sunday night, and visited a residency friend Monday on the South Shore and headed to the beach.

Don’t think I could live there again, but love visiting this time of year.

- Gotta hit the diet hard. Been a rough couple of weeks of eating like absolute **** and drinking a tad too much.
