We could have one side of the stadium yell "BLUUUUUUUUUUUUE!!!" and the other side of the stadium yell "WHIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIITE!!!" People in the endzones are kind of screwed on this one though.

Or we could count one handed pushups by the Wildcat mascot after TDs.

Both would fire up the stadium.

Makes you long for the days of Buffett, beach balls, and Cotton Eyed Joe.

Race horses, claws, checkerboard, top buttons. No wonder season tickets are drive bombing. The football people give CM (rip) crap but maybe he was onto something. “Hey guys we mostly suck but tickets are cheap, product is fun, and who knows maybe our team will win!”

Mitch and Mark have transitioned us to the southernmost MAC team, basically. If you've ever caught a Toledo-Bowling Green game on ESPN, the similarities in branding, gameday production, etc. are striking.

We'd be in the hunt for the MAC title most years, which actually sounds pretty fun?

During the Tubby Smith in Minnesota era, I was at a Twins game one time and the Athletic Director for Minnesota was sitting in front of me (not sure how the topic came up, but he liked letting people know who he was). I was doing everything I could not to drop some Tubby jokes on him, but I did bring Tubby up and said what a great guy he was, clean program, etc.

So the AD said something surprising. He basically said, "look, we're not trying to do anything special in basketball. If we get to the tournament every year, great. If we don't, so be it. Just don't want any issues happening again and with Tubby that's not going to happen."

That's what I'm worried about with Mitch and our football program. He knows the signature program is basketball. So if he can keep things mediocre & our noses clean, get through the fall, then onward and upwards with basketball, that's a job well done.

Max nailed it, we already have our tradition:

I got a whole lot of money, bitches count it for me
Bottles keep popping, that's why the bad hoes jocking

Fans love it, players love it, and it gets the place hype. Plus, it has nothing to do with actual Football which is actually perfect. I'll be pissed if/when they phase that out. :100points:

And it almost guarantees the opposing team scores within 3 minutes, which goes right along with the UK football theme.

^That's my only problem with Grove St. It's uncanny, song comes on, crowd goes wild, they return the kickoff 65 yards.

-Missing Ware and Pascal is just brutal.

-Made carnitas yesterday and finished on the grill. Topped with bbdk's green sass. WAF.

-Looks like BBdk is firmly enjoying the Sunday evening family style funday. Good for him, especially after all the grief he gave us about it.

-Basically the last summer weekend with no agenda... really the last weekend until after the Final Four with nothing planned. :weary: F*ck you, WCC.

-Really need to get my buddy WCC back in a semi-regular tailgate routine now that he's hitched. Be good for the soul.

- One of the more comical UK fan cheers I ever witnessed, was from a group of middle aged Cat fans walking down Broadway in Nashville during SECT weekend... Whenever they saw *any* supporters of another SEC school, one of them would yell "What's your favorite color BABAYY??" And then the rest of the group would throw up double birds in opposing fans direction and yell "F*** and YOU!!" They must've done it a hundred times and they absolutely loved it. Didnt realize it made zero sense. I remember thinking that would be the cheer to really set things off in Commonwealth. 60k yelling that and flipping people off...

- Pretty cool for Desales. Just to be able to compete on the field with 6A schools is a big deal.

- For the first time ever- we had someone come clean our house. I'm typically against that kind of thing since we have no kids yet and two grown folks should be able to maintain a clean household. But whatever- I dont think like that anymore. It was the best money ever spent.

- New England trip for Labor Day weekend... been awhile since we've been able to get out of town for a bit. Pearl Jam concert at Fenway to cap it off. Been looking forward to this one for a long time.

-First class of the semester, 9AM Wednesday. Another semester closer to retirement.

SAE pointed it out on Twitter a few weeks ago. We spent 200 million plus on upgrades yet we have this chintzy looking plastic tarp covering the entire inner field level wall of Commonwealth. Cheap as **** looking and embarrassing for a SEC school. Very MAC like.

That's nothing compared to the faux-brick wallpaper crap they had in Rupp....maybe still do? Don't think so....But that was definitely enough to fire Mitch over. Still haven't fired him.

Jordan Jones is one of our best damn players. You can act like you're too cool for school and don't appreciate him wilding out on the sidelines (..why wouldn't you appreciate that, or a dude who throws a trashcan?? One of greatest moments in UK football history.) and then you can just go ahead button your top button and shove a bag of milk up your ***. We need Jordan Jones and we need him healthy. He's proven his worth to this **** program. He's earned the right to shank a guy right up under the rib cage if he wants. If he does that, he's earned a statue somewhere in the vaunted concourse of Kroger Field.
