Well, it is illegal to refuse to serve someone for religious reasons. The same doesn't apply for political reasons (at least at the federal level) because political party affiliation is not a protected category.

Basic Civ Pro- you have a cause of action if you’re discriminated against as a member of a protected class BECAUSE of your status as a member of a protected class. But “no, I refused service because he was an *******” is a valid defense to a lawsuit.

You mean Jim Crow Laws against serving whites and blacks together that were created by state legislatures? That's not really the same as individual business owners being racist.
Other than getting a raise, my two biggest sources of increased happiness in life have come from no longer being a mod on Rivals and basically limiting my Twitter to posting pics and videos of my dog every couple of months.
Coincidentally I fell less happy not having someone threaten to cave my face in every few days.
Obviously not saying there's no difference legally, just saying there's no difference morally.

They melt down over something that Kathy Griffin or Ted Nugent said, but don’t blink an eye about the fact that the Senate voted 85-10 to increase our military budget to $716 billion (that’s almost $2 billion per day, according to math).
