Cousin married a girl who sounded kinda similar. Seemingly normal and attractive, driven to be successful, well educated, and from a family that you’d never pair her with. Her parents were redneck to the extreme, had no teeth, and mush mouth combined with their accents made them virtually unintelligible. A no-alcohol wedding was had.
Anyway fast forward 10 years, and my cousin is now divorced from his unemployed former wife. Her hobbies include clogging, not showering, and withdrawal from any semblance of society.
I think in-laws are sometimes unfairly given red flags when they should be yellow flags, at worst (guilty of this at times myself).... but when there are actual serious red flags, run far, far away.

Eating an early lunch is guaranteed empty calories. Say I eat around 11am, there's a 95% chance I'm hungry again for lunch shortly after noon. I mean, after all, it is 12:30 or 1 or whatever, and still "haven't had lunch." It's like anything before 12pm doesn't even count.

-generally considered more informal...but you can wear them with a suit if leather/construction is correct. Fine with odd trousers/sport coats or jeans(depending on color and texture of leather).
-would not wear them with your newly purchased tuxedo. Stick to a nice patent leather oxford...or slippers if you're feeling squirrelly.
Those guys, unapologetic, big ones. Their lack of remorse is hysterical.

* The keto diet is just the Atkins diet repacked with new names and updated bs science. The idea that eating carbs (like fresh fruit) is bad for you, but eating sausage and bacon is healthy is so impossibly stupid, I'm just praying all those Cross Fit idiots die of heart disease as a repurcussion.
* Fasting. Seriously. No f'ing thanks.
* Maybe it's a deep south thing, but down here people call elders by Mr/Mrs + their first name.

-Random, trainer was talking to me about intermittent fasting today. Monday marks my annual bike season, buckle down, work gets crazy, health kick. Last year eliminated sugars and dropped alcohol for 14 days. I'm sure fasting is great but I just can't see how that works for me. We eat after 8p nearly every night so basically I'm not eating breakfast until 1p.
Lot of fad diets out there over the years but that one seems the least sustainable.
-Finally kicking into Derby Week mode. Home stuff has kinda kept us from Derby stuff and it really just snuck right up.
-37 is still mid 30's, right? :grimace: 24 about this time of year when I wandered into GYERO.
Oaks: gray slacks, navy coat, white shirt, pink tie, derbys.
Derby: Not sure but light tan slacks, blue coat, might be the start and of course brown gamo loafs. I've really started trending to comfort on Derby these days. Sucker gets looooong.

I can't imagine not eating for almost 36 hours. Sounds awful. I just about pass out if I skip lunch. I eat light for dinner but I'm big on breakfast and lunch.

Meh, im definitely not doing any keto diet but I don’t think it’s about carbs in fresh fruits as much as breads, pastas and highly processed carbs which are terrible for you without question. I’ve definitely stopped eating those as much but haven’t quit.
I eat lots of meat, veggies and avocados, you know a regular ol healthy diet and I’ve never once thought about “losing a few pounds”.
And just FYI, cholesterol isn’t nearly as bad for you as people say. That’s a load of **** brought to you by the drug companies.

insulin does more damage to your circulatory system than cholestoral, TMFS. You know, that gets dumped into your body when you eat breads, pastas, sugar etc.

Random, but I just read that same comparison yesterday, and people were saying how Nickleback was hated while Foo Fighters were loved. Dave Grohl can be annoying as hell, it seems as if he proclaimed himself as the arbiter of Rock and Roll, and he decides what is or what isn't good mysic. It also reiterated the fact that while people claim to hate Nickleback, they secretly enjoy them.
Well since they’re the 11th best selling musical act of all time, I’d say they have a lot of secret fans.
