If you would've told me SKJ, Washington, Green, and Gabriel weren't going to be on the team next year two months ago I would've told you to go **** yourself.

Hopefully all of this offseason drama works itself out and most still come back

Green transferring would make no sense and if he did LaSalle? Lol. He'd be able to pick any school in the country. I just dont see him wasting a year.

If he's trying to get a bartending job at Tattoos & Scars, yes.
Sad part is, I’ll honestly be making 2.5X more than these kids that end up in the draft when they should’ve stayed another year. G League doesn’t pay ****.

I’d trade it all to be a sophomore/junior on the UK basketball team slaying 9s and paying for nothing.

If Quade goes to LaSalle he’ll be a badass and play four years...but no one will ever see him play. How is that better than playing at UK?

My best guess - maybe Quade grew up a LaSalle fan, went to their games, was teammates with Lionel Simmons in his fake driveway games where he makes the last second shot to win, etc..

Thought Mags did well with his Democrat Congressional debate.

Was Amy in the military? Guess Chase probably hates her. Thought she was pretty good.

Mayor Gray was polished and measured.

Will be interesting to see if they get Andy Barr to debate the winner.

I am so over the constant horseshit roster overhauls. If you aren’t good enough to get drafted in the 1st round, or get a pre-draft guarantee of a contract in the 2nd round, don’t f*cking come here expecting to leave early. If that is your thought process, do not come here. We don’t want you. Simple as that.

We aren’t here for you to piddly
*** around for 99% of your freshman year and then leave for 50 grand a year payable in pesos. If you can’t see the value in playing for Kentucky, please, sincerely, GFY.

Well, Wenyen did average 6.6pg so I can see the allure of an NBA franchise taking a flyer on him.

Seriously, there is a real problem when kids average less than 10 pts a game and feel like they are ready for the big boy league. I don't know, I guess it's whatever, but as a grown *** man I just don't understand the line of thinking these kids have.

OTOH, I did enjoy a 2lb bone in ribeye for dinner tonight so whatever a 18-19 yo kid wants to with his life is really no concern to me.

Anth will be along shortly to explain why it’s actually a good move for Quade, and anyone who disagrees is selfish & doesn’t understand the big picture here. Until then, stay calm.

(Lasalle, no way. If so, he’s the biggest ***** of the Cal era so maybe it’s a good thing)

Kid averaged 26 mpg, started most of the year, and got the 2nd most minutes of any returning player (assuming PJ comes back), and he reportedly wants out.

If it's true, then the whole damn thing is broken.

when Cal sells the one and done ******** in every single recruitment to a guy ranked in the top 30 (Green actually said in an interview that Cal told him he didn't want him to come to UK if he didn't *think* he was good enough to leave after one year (as a challenge maybe, but whatever) ), then this is the **** that happens. Players have unbelievable expectations for themselves and when they don't meet those expectations they're gone after two years max. Green isn't and wasn't ever sticking around more than next year. He'll transfer, stay in the draft, or go play overseas. Washington neither. Same for Richards. Same for Herro, Quickley, and Johnson... results and lack of skills/maturity be damned.

Don't fall for it. The culture needs to be fixed.

Do we not have guards coming in better than Quade? I mean surely....Quade sucks. Cal needs him to leave, tbh. That’s how this works. We need new, better 1 n dones....real 1 n dones.

You have to have experience. Period. It doesn't matter that Quade wasn't as good as advertised. Or that Vanderbilt can't score and is injury prone. Or that PJ disappeared at times. Or that Wenyen plays like one of those crazy inflatable dancing men you see in used car lots. Or even that Richards was usually a disaster. You have to have experience. Period.

Cal doesn't get those dudes to return, we're screwed.

You're not winning a title with all freshmen.

Other than saying I'd be pissed if he leaves what else do you want? I can justify a lot because of dumb ncaa bs but this one doesn't make sense. Cal needs to drop whatever beef they had and keep Green.

Humphries and a 5th year Willis, who should have redshirted his freshman year, would have helped this year. Lee and Mathews would have helped last year. Dakari Johnson would have helped the Murray/Ulis squad. Wiltjer would have greatly helped the '14 and '15 teams. SKJ would have helped next year.

That's where our experience is going. Keep some of those guys, mix in some Kentucky boys(even the Polsons help) and you have the experience needed to add to the 1 and doners.

Aaron Torres had Evan Daniels on his podcast and they discussed how the incoming class is the weakest class either one can remember.

Without Poor Man's Lebron, next year is likely going to be a **** sandwich too and then all that mediocre talent will flee the program like rats on a flaming ship to get paid before kids who can actually play the game of basketball matriculate. I guess that is why Cal seems hellbent on getting as many kids as possible to re-classify.

(I wish he'd focus on re-recruiting his own damn players.)

I hope this is all just a plan to get Brad 20mpg. That would be classic. There’s your veteran leadership, stupid *** basketball bennies.

To play devils advocate here I can’t imagine coming in with last years group and going through all that just to see everyone possibly leave. Then looking at this year knowing it’s all new players and looking at going through the same growing pains.

I’d get over it if it was just a 1 time thing, but to think if Quade still isn’t a pro prospect he’d be looking at the same scenario as a junior too most likely.

F that!

But do not go to LaSalle.
