So I went out to eat yesterday after work but before the kids/wife got out of daycare/work. Long day at work, so I just wanted to relax and stare at my phone. A guy walks in, asks for an application, and sits down at the next table. As I'm thinking "Don't f*cking think about talking to me" he looks over and says, (I sh*t you not,) "Hey man, this is a little embarrassing, but how do you spell "cashier?"

So I answer the guy's question, making sure to imply the appropriate amount of annoyance, and go back to eating. A couple minutes later, "Hey man, sorry to bother you again.. I swear this is the last time... but it says here "Have you ever been convicted of a crime..." I plead guilty to domestic violence four years ago... do you think that counts? That's a crime... right? Yeah?"

"Man, I'm not a legal expert, but I'm pretty sure that's a crime."

He finishes the application, takes it up to the manager, they talk for a few minutes. He drops the owner's name. I overhear that he was to start training today at ten.

So instead of feeling good that the guy wanted (and was granted) a job, you were a complete *** hat. Impressive.

It’s a hard life for sure. They jump you in, only not with a beat down like some of the more infamous gangs of our time, but rather with mojitos and Bahama Mamas.

Rogue kill someone to get a job at tats or did the owner just recognize the elite talent when he met him and signed him up? Mad respect either way. Bartending is no joke you guys. Takes some prettttty special skills.

Which hockey team, for those of us in KY, are we supposed to pull for? I'm not real clear on how this works.

Man, I love me some playoff Rondo. Playing w/ AD seems to have re-energized him - there can't be 5 smarter players in the history of the league, imo. He's essentially the coach of that team.

-Bledsoe otoh, smh. He's getting flat abused by ole TERRY thus far. Even with his early success, was never sold on him being the primary lead of an NBA team.

Every single post he makes is terrible, which is a problem. Take some pride in GYERO, our rules have been simple from the get-go ----> Have a take, don't suck.

Put him on ignore then. I like Rogue but if you don’t, don’t clog up GYERO.

Adrian, don't be intimidated by wcc's buddies from back home this weekend. Go ahead and teach ol' Rook a lesson. He is getting a little full of himself now that he is growing up.

But for the record, I haven't decided whose side I'm on yet.

Willy- leave your F’ing liqueurs at home. That’s all I have to say.

Don't worry, Bridezilla, all I'm bringing is a couple of tubes of goetta for Boat and his fiancé.

The only time I will ever bring Blackhaus again is if it is specifically requested by Joey the Bonz.

I plan on sticking to beer & bourbon.

Mostly.

Herro is going to be the a blend of Derek Willis/Josh Carrier/Jeff Sheppard. Which means 3 things:

1. He will be lights out in workouts. Best shooter in the history of the program.
2. He'll probably redshirt next season, but will come on strong as a Junior/Senior, graduate and make terrible t-shirts/hats, and be a complete dick in charity golf events.
3. We'll beg for him to play more, but Cal will complain about his defense.

Nah, he's going to be awesome. If he stays:

1 year: Fan favorite, what could have been. Anywhere else he'd have come back, this is serious ********
2 years: All conference, possible AA. Anywhere else & he'd be back, this is kinda ********
3 years: AA, fan favorite legend, and if he brings a natty, certified KY folk hero (no pun intended) forever

Herro is much more likely to inspire some sort of racist gimmick.

Exhibit A:

Exhibit B:

He is also likely to (1) go bonks early in the season shooting approximately 87% from 3, and (2) go ice cold during tournament time.

And then he'll leave after his freshman year, or we'll get lucky and he'll stay one extry year to his great shame and embarrassment.

I'm not being pessimistic either, that's just how it has gone almost every single time.
