Wow, that's actually a big deal. I thought all these people suggesting we had a shot were nuts. You never beat the school that just hired a kids Dad, ever. Glad he bolted.

Teachers are over-estimating their intellectual capitol.

Guess what? Pretty much everyone, that doesn't punch a clock, works extra/unpaid hours.

I'd like to see the turnout of these protests if they occurred during their off days in the Summer break...

I don’t care to research enough to make a compelling argument, so I’ll simply opine.

I think teachers and their stupid *** unions exhaust so much energy, time and money arguing over trivial matters that they lose sight of much more important topics. I’ve got one such diehard teacher friend who raises hell over their bathroom policies, as they supposedly aren’t given sufficient time throughout the day to relieve themselves. And this is worth going to the mattresses over.

Ugh. Stepping over dollars to pick up pennies, imo.

1. Hagans ain’t reclassified as of now
2. Maxey ain’t committed or reclassified
3. Quade has been exploring the idea of transferring before the season was even over (like a lil *****)

Wtf is Cal supposed to do? He told Joel to stfu and went out looking for ballers. And why is that such a ***** move, but Quade thinking about leaving is not? If we get all these guards, he’s not playing anyway. Idc if he can shoot, Cal is not gonna play his munchkin *** anyway.

This is just cal telling everybody to get **** right, and it’s beautiful. This ain’t communism.

I get that for Sasha but not Green.

It’s just weird to me in the fact that Quade seems - admittedly from the outside looking in - to be one of those tough guy-I’ll-cut-your-throat-to-win leaders that Cal loves and gets along with.

Guys like Willis, Lee, Skal, and SKJ I can understand why they don’t work, at least immediately, under Cal.

But Quade is a head scratcher.

If he was kicking out Billy G's clowns it would be one thing, but he's removing the guys he recruited, plus there is a lot of precedence showing that experienced teams do well in the NCAA tournament.

If he wasn't happy with the recruiting the last few years, that's not his assistant's fault. That's his. He makes $8M, and recruiting has always been his meal ticket.

So he's placing bets that the new guys are going to be better than Quade, Wenyen and Co., then he's going to stand up and say "We're young! Nobody is as young as us!"

I don't know if the new guys are special or not, but I certainly don't think there's no value in having upperclassman on your squad, and Cal seems to not give a damn about that.

I have zero problem with teachers peacefully protesting for their job benefits. Think it’s beautiful, actually. Also, I am not threatened by or jealous of their benefits because I’m an adult white male far too interested in my own private career and earning potential. Recommended approach, actually. I mean, if you’re losing sleep over F’n teachers fighting for their meager pensions... Christ. Focus.

What? Do you think he kicked SKJ off the team? Good grief, people. So he wasn’t supposed to accept Montgomery because he was afraid it might hurt SKJ’s feelings despite the fact Montgomery is better than SKJ right now?

No ****, because the woman I swore to have sex with exclusively for the rest of my life requested it. Good analogy for the teachers, really. Plenty else to actually concern yourself with beyond Mrs. Betty Johnson in Harrison County getting a pittance for providing the public with 20+ years of service in the classroom.

Spiteful ********.

You don’t know that.

Technically, I don’t. But I feel pretty safe based on what I’ve seen, read and heard that he will be much better.

My point was that Cal isn’t kicking anybody off the roster. He’s always up front with these kids during recruitment that there will be plenty of other great players and nothing is guaranteed. That’s one of the many reasons these kids respect him and he does so well in recruiting. He doesn’t guarantee ****.

Even if we add Maxey I still believe with what Green brings to the table he could start next year alongside Hagans.

Who the touch knows what Green is thinking. He could be like.. Bring it.

If you’re jealous of a teacher’s pension then I seriously wonder WTF you’re doing with yourself. I mean, that’s never been my bechmark, but seemingly it is for many of you.

There’s recruiting over turkeys like SKJ, and then there’s recruiting over everybody twice, hence pushing out all your vets.

I’ve actually enjoyed the social media commentary of some of the posters from this thread about the teacher pension topic. Despite SAEs weak *** pandering, these guys (80, Bernie, wildcatadam) seem to have actually investigated the issue and made a very rational discussion about it.

Hell, even PlayBall wrote a story for the freaking Huffington Post that explicitly stated benefits weren’t changed for current employees.

So stick it up your ***, SAE. Some of us are simply pointing out the ignorance of these misinformed fools.

Ive provided plenty of insightful discussion here tonight, and stand by what Ive said. Fund the teachers pensions. Pretty simple, really. There are ways to F’n do it, but the born again christian in the Governor’s Mansion won’t entertain the thought. The rest of you snake handlers who agree with his dumbass can get pumped 6 ways to Sunday.

Hard to focus on your career when you have to take a couple Fridays off because your kids 3rd grade teacher is pissed they got a guarenteed no loss 401k and lost a 5k life insurance policy.

Yeah, my favorite thing the KEA threw out there was teachers losing 5k in death benefits. It's actually true, but what they fail to mention, it was replaced with a 20k life insurance policy:joy:
They literally got a $15k upgrade, but used it as a talking point. Yeah, no politics here.

Speaking of the Reds, I tuned in tonight before they get 100 games out of first. They proceed to walk 3 straight batters, and then Picorro mentions this was the 5th straight batters in a row to be walked. The two batters before I tuned in were also walked.
You shitting me, 5 straight walks.[laughing]
Is that a record?
