OK, SEC games and the WVU games only...

Richards - 4.36 ppg, 3.94 rpg
SKJ - 2.47 ppg, 2.35 rpg

WHY DID CAL RUNNED OFT SASHA?!?!?

Next up.

Honestly, why?

I get that you are an optimistic dude and you are generally far smarter than your average bear and are one of my favorite posters.

Withthatsaid, Nick Richards is horrible at basketball and it was absolutely stupid that Calipari started him all year. I really don't care what the stats say. Nick Richards was the worst regular player we have had since Mark Coury and I would probably take Coury, to be honest.

What the hell are you arguing?

So the teachers union is now planning to protest Bevin vetoing the same bills they spent the last 2 weeks protesting the passage of.

I think I need a refresher of what’s beung protested.

- I mean, EJ Montgomery definitely gives us something we didn’t have last year- a modern 5-man. Easy athlete. Good frame. Smooth stroke. Good feel.

- Curious as everyone else is about who else comes back. Montgomery, Washington, Vanderbilt, Richards and Gabriel is one helluva stable of bigs. We can now suffer one of those dudes leaving but I hope they all stay.

- I hate it that guys like SKJ don’t stay anymore. It’s a direct reaction to Cal’s system, which I am fine with if we win big in March. Haven’t won big in March in three years. Time to get back to kicking ***.

- We have the look of a team that will be good in November while still having room to grow which makes me happy. I couldn’t stomach another cakebake.

- Big wcc’s crunchtime lineup- 11 months in advance:

Green
Johnson
Washington
Vanderbilt
Hagans/Quickley/Herro (out on a limb)

-I can say with utmost certainty that 94% of people didn’t read half of that ridiculous argument over who sucked more last year.

-Led Zepplin is dominating the workout rotation right now. Shewee those guys can light a fire in you. Immigrant Song can always push you through that last set.

-Beard is coming into its own. This Viking red savagery is intimidating.

In that case, you might do them the honor of spelling their effing name correctly.
Nah, they won’t mind me missing the “e”. I blame autocorrect for missing that anyway.

Also, I love seeing fat/out of shape people getting after it. Starting that journey isn’t easy when you’re already WAAAAY behind the 8 ball.

Richards buffed his stats in the first 15 games against ****** (and undersized) OOC opponents. His true suckage didn’t expose itself until marginal SEC bigs absolutely murdered him on the regular.

SKJ wasn’t a world-beater, but is/was much better than Richards in just about every facet of the game - but especially on the defensive end.

Nah. They both sucked in SEC play.

In the conference season, here is how that matched up:

Richards - SKJ

TS%: 64.1 - 63.3
DR%: 19.8 - 12.5
OR%: 9.4 - 11.0
B%: 5.5 - 3.1
TO%: 14.8 - 27.5

-SKJ was slightly better on the offensive glass but Richards produced more pretty much everywhere else.

-SKJ's defensive rebound rate was the worst for any center at UK since Skal. He also turned it over more times than Richards despite playing in less games.

-Objective measures point towards Richards being better, but neither being studs. Take it for what its worth.

To me, the real key was Vanderbilt. If he were healthy, there wouldn't be a Richards or SKJ discussion because the correct answer would be to play neither player.

Redundant but sports journalism is so awful today.

“Wll Ohtani keep this pace all season? Discuss.”

“Is Stanton not good anymore? Discuss.”

No and no. I guess you have to have something to talk about but Christ.

Yeah, she's probably making it all up just so she can potentially ruin her career, burn bridges with her alma mater, be thrust into a negative spotlight, looked at differently by everyone she knows, vilified by rabid sports fans, and accused of lying. Gotta hand it to her, it's a hell of a plan.

If her excuse was any of what you said above I'd be more inclined to believe her, but this...

"The woman said she did not report the alleged assault to police in 2015 because she and some of her friends, who were younger than 21 at the time, had used fake IDs to get into a bar the night of the alleged incident and she worried they would all get cited with underage drinking charges."

Also, she is not going after the people who allegedly committed the crimes. She is, however, blaming the school for an alleged rape that happened off campus.

Then there's this doozy:

"She said she filed the lawsuit with the hope it would encourage more women to come forward about assault and to send a message to the university."

Right, as opposed to sending a message to the people committing the crimes that they will be held accountable. This reminds me of the UVA fraternity rape case.
