So was the delay so he could shoot a GD video?

THIS IS KENTUCKY BASKETBALL

[BristolCat_rivals158386]

"I'm not gonna lie, the journey has been rough."

K. Sorry playing Kentucky basketball has been such a tough time. Inspiring the way you persevered through it all. We'll try harder next time.

I'm not gonna lie either, it was rough watching you half-*** it in and out of a leadership role all year on our way to a disappointing sweet sixteen loss to a bad Kansas State team.

[UKStoleMyFish]

So he wasn't sure what he wanted to do, so in order to leave his options open, he's hiring an agent.

K.

It's about ending generational upper middle classedness, I guess.

[ktatum]

I’m pretty much over the OAD rule. Adam Silver needs to do something about that and from the top rope.

[wildcat1973_rivals160373]

This **** gets old. Can't wait for Tyler Herro to get here. Hopefully Cal plays him.

[anthonys735]

:joy:

[Kennedy_UK]

If you're mad about a projected lottery pick jumping to the NBA, that's on you.

Some of you need to take a break from sports. Maybe permanently...

FFS

[TheShowKiller]

I can’t bring myself to cry about a guaranteed lotto pick going pro, his dad probably should have shut up though.

I think we lose Vanderbilt, too. Obviously Shai, add Hagans and Montgomery. PJ comes back.

Give us a Bahamas trip and the cake should be further along than this year by season’s start.

Or everything sucks.

[ktatum]

I’m meh about him turning pro, but letting it bake every year gets tiring. I’d like to waltz into a year like 2015 or 2012 at least more than twice. I’d love to just have some continuity with skill.

Edit: I completely forgot about Daniel Orton.

[Ribsandwhitebread]

I actually think Knox ends up coming back if Cal finds the fax in his desk.

[BristolCat_rivals158386]

This. No one's mad at the simple fact he's going pro. Some of you need to learn how to read and comprehend.

[_Chase_]

Knox and SGA should leave and everyone else that does is a borderline moron. (Unless Vanderbilt is trying to defraud an NBA team by hiding a permanent injury, then by all means, take what you can get)

[IsRichieGonnaStart]

Whatever. Ashton Adams seems ruthless on the court ala the dudes we had early on under Cal and it appears we’re gaining major ground on Montgomery now that Cal has told Joel Justus to step asid and let the master get back to what he’s great at.

[Strokin_Bandit]

This is Cal's brand. He invented it. These kids know they are declaring for the draft before they ever step foot on campus. We should know that too.

[VernHatton52]

I believe Knox was genuinely torn. Now I wish him all the best. Is what it is (IWII)

[laughing]

If Knox went to UNC would he be declaring or would he stick around for another year or two? How many dudes have we seen Roy talk into coming back and hurting their draft position? Theo Pinson, etc....

[cawoodsct]

Not worried about Knox, my real worry is Villanova.

That's what I'm saying. When you sign to play for Cal, you're essentially declaring for next year's draft. That's the brand. That's what is expected. Duke/K are becoming synonymous with it as well.

Roy has somehow removed himself from the OaD stigma (probably as a result of those pending sanctions that never materialized), and has established himself as a developer and molder of talent. It's weird how it's all played out like that but that is the perception. And sometimes perception is reality.

[Hank Camacho]

Knox is going in the Archie Goodwin Hall of Fame for most forgettable UK players who were good.

Bingo! Sucks, but this is what we are now. Even the guys that should come back feel as though they are a failure if they stick around for another year. Teague is the one that really sticks out to me.

[VernHatton52]

Not worried about Knox, my real worry is Villanova.

As it should be.

[JwowPalumbo]

Knox is going in the Archie Goodwin Hall of Fame for most forgettable UK players who were good.

Archie was memorable for falling down every time that he drove the lane. Like clockwork.

[GrandePdre]

Did 73 get his Tubby Smith Maker's bottle today?

[cawoodsct]

I’ll do it for him.

Tiger

Phil

[UKStoleMyFish]

It's reasonable to be happy for the kid and wish him the best.

It's reasonable to be completely unsurprised by his decision.

It's reasonable to be frustrated at the weeklong cocktease performed by the dad.

It's reasonable to be tired of the constant turnover, and to be of the opinion that maybe Cal miscalculated his approach to this whole thing, and that maybe he's trying to tweak his approach because he knows the current model makes winning another title damn near impossible.

It's also reasonable to be all of these things at the same time.

[UKwizard]

Get back to getting players that get us to 4 Final 4's in 5 years please.

[Hank Camacho]

It is also reasonable to resent the everloving **** out of the one and done model when Calipari is stocking the cupboard with Kevin Knox and Shai Alexander rather than John Effing Wall and Anthony BYGOD Davis.

[BristolCat_rivals158386]

Meanwhile the guys Cal needs to make this work are going to be wasted on a guy who clearly hasn't figured out how to make one and done work yet.

Possibly a controversial take? I think you could make an argument that if Cal and Coach K switched rosters next year they'd both have a better shot of winning it all.

[_Chase_]

I’m not 100% sold on Duke’s pieces fitting. Also not sold that a 6’5 power forward is going to be an overwhelming stud.

At most places, players like that get the **** beat out of them with no calls.

At most places.

[Brandon Stroud]

It's really going to hurt Duke when Zion gets the sugar midseason

[gattongrad09]

Tubby bottle is :fire::fire: anyone who says otherwise is awful and terrible.

Learned about knox reading the last page. Preciate him picking us otherwise we would have went to NIT. Thats about all I got.

Great day at the track. Seems like long shots always pay you back at the end.[thumb2]

[anthonys735]

-RJ Barrett is a STUD.

-If you all havent noticed non-lotto guys all over the country are bouncing. Its not just UK anymore.

-Cal has done a poor job keeping the non-1&D guys engaged. Not sure why but those guys were vital on all our great teams.

-Great to see he's making changes in his ways.

-Montgomery swinging toward UK. Wonder what that means? Gotta be Vando.

[krazykats]

N’awlins, my god! I don’t want to move here like a lot of vacation spots, but 2-3 days is not enough.

Not sure where we ate tonight, some creole spot with a pizza spot next door selling by the slice which worked out since the family doesn’t do cajun.

Grabbed a few mojito’s at a different spot on the way back to the hotel, and then relaxed in the heated pool and let the kids burn their energy.

[Ahnan E. Muss]

Now we know why PTI took a last-minute trip to Kentucky.

[BristolCat_rivals158386]

You don't go to New Orleans for Mojitos and Pizza, you dingbat.

[drxman1]

Blockers was :joy::joy::joy:

Buddy picked me up a ‘98 bottle. Shew what a year 97-98 was:raised_hands:

Anyone who drank the koolaid on Knox deserves the dick punch. Fools

Glad to hear Cal has a :fire: under his ***. Go get those studs.

GunsRoses Show tomorrow night. Can. Not. Wait.

[TheShowKiller]

PJ, Quade, maybe Vanderbilt and, yes, Richards are the exact type of core group retuning that so many of you have been begging for...

Oh, you wanted a cocky as hell white boy sharp shooter that looks like he could play for Nova? Check.

A combo guard that can fill it up or distribute? Check.

A top ten point guard? Most likely check.

A top 15 skilled forward/center that we beat out Duke for? Most likely check.

An alpha wing we haven’t seen since MKG? Check.

Toss in another elite shooter for insurance? Check.

Sorry our lottery picks decided to be lottery picks, you guys.

[krazykats]

Just got here so we settled after a 9 hour drive for what is closest.

I didn’t eat pizza, but the mojito worked and it’s all better than the bubba gump Co.

Cafe Beignet for breakfast
