So, parents- has the Easter Bunny gotten outrageous too or is it still just modest gifts and candy?
The Easter vibe can really be affected by the weather. A good day brings Easter Bunny, church, a celebrish of spring with egg hunts outside, then re-hide the eggs and do it again until those little buggers tire themselves out.

A day like today, after church sit around and clean up the broken plastic eggs and fake grass stuff that is all over the house. Thanks a lot Bbdk weather grump!

Of course, we didn’t even make church today because my boy promptly looked at his basket looked up at me, ran to the bathroom and didn’t make it...stomach bug on Easter Sunday FTL!

Kids!

I've liked Michigan basketball going back to the Gary Grant, Antoine Joubert and Roy Tarpley era but give me Villanova. Big Ten fan is just too arrogant and cocky. It will be good to continue to use 'only 1 title since '89' against them.

*Spent 4 hours in the yard dealing with a tree that fell. I didn't stop there. Saw a couple of more dead trees in my back yard that needed to be dealt with. I was a chainsawin maniac.

*Today, I can barely move. I can't remember being this sore. Getting old sucks.

*Went to a FF party last night. Good time...but now I'm sore and hungover with a trip to the MIL to meet her new BF coming up.

I'm not saying that I'd purposefully infect my child with salmonella on Good Friday to get out of having to sit through church on Easter Sunday, but I'd certainly consider it!

It *is* hard to watch Villanova and not think about what could have been over the last decade if Calipari prioritized shooting and skill over size.

They don't have compete for kids with us. They're winning titles with the kids they're recruiting. We're competing for titles, not players. If they win tomorrow then they're currently the top program, not us. That's an issue that needs to be dealt with.

If Nova wins, that gives them 2 titles in 3 years on top of having the most wins in the last 5 years. How is Duke a better program currently, if that occurs? Duke is tops in recruiting but a win tomorrow will give Nova 2 titles since Duke won their last one. How are they better, chief?

Yeah we might have even been a chaotic long range buzzer beater from the F4 last year!

Some of you need to get a grip.

Wright has built a nice program but also caught lightening in a bottle similar to what Billy D caught at Florida in a nucleus of really good college players that each had a flaw keeping them from being in the “you have to go to the league kid” range.

Quade, Herro, Johnson, Quickley, Baker...Hopefully that’s enough shooting and skill to go around next year.

Not sure what you are arguing. I thought it was clear that I thought Nova would be the top program if they win tomorrow night. They would displace Duke.

I disagree with the Florida comparison, Killa. They had the same team both years. Nova's '16 squad had Archidinacino (sp?), Jenkins, Hart, Ochefu, and even Reynolds. This team has some holdovers but many new contributors. Next year he has a 5 star guard in Quinerly arriving along with 2 more 4 star forwards, similar to the classes he's brought in these past several years. This isn't lightning in a bottle. It's a coach in his prime, finding his stride, perfecting an offense with his type of players. They may not be the next Duke but they could be the new UConn, which makes them a yearly threat. I'm in the camp that the less yearly threats to us, the better.

Wonder who will coach them? Bbdk’s boy will be roaming the sidelines in the league next year. Sharpie that.

-UK was a verngina hair away from titles in 2011, 2014, 2015. That would be four titles in 8 years. I think Calipari manages 1 more title here and I wouldn’t be surprised to see a repeat

-my nephew said the Easter bunny brought him $77. What a racket. Sweet tarts, jelly beans, chocolate coins, and some random ghetto candy you can only get around easter. That’s how I grew up. Now my kid turns her nose up at Hershey’s and will only eat Lindt chocolate. The world has gone crazy.

-Richie, SAE and the other new dads are only seeing the tip of the spear. Their future parenthood gripes will be :boom:

Wright to the NBA would be great. If I'm guaranteed that will happen then I'm fine with Nova winning tomorrow.

Eh. I think anyone who would trade Jay Wright for Cal is braindead stupid. I'll take Cal over anyone, including Coach K.

Withthatsaid, he isn't above criticism and his insistence to always pack the team with big guys (even when they suck like Wynyard, Richards, etc) and to try to take guys like Trey Lyles, Wenyen Gabriel, Alex Poythress, etc and make them into college wings is infuriating in this age of basketball.

Everyone is still redassed over losing to f***ing Bruce Weber, and rightfully so.

But just because Chumps would ***** about free money doesn't mean that it does not sort of suck to watch Villanova dominate playing a style of basketball that we all thought we we getting when Cal first got here and was pumping up the DRIBBLE DRIVE MOTION OFFENSE! WOWWWWW!

Obviously, Cal isn’t above criticism...but are we going to do this woe is me bs until the Bahamas trip?

Can’t wait until the Warriors play their first series and Chumps fires off 5 straight posts about Cal not recutting shooting or having a modern offense.

I didn't criticize Cal or even infer that I want him gone. I'm simply stating that the Nova threat is real.

-I feel you. We had to cut up 27 trees that we lost during Irma, TWENTY SEVEN. At least I know we can’t lose 27 more this year so there’s that.

-Yesterday was spent finally building the fence back that has been down since Irma as well. If only it were all wood it would’ve been done months ago. Unfortunately, it’s got a 3.5’ stone/concrete wall base so had to tear everything down, then lay 2x6s the whole length of the wall with lag bolts before we could build the wooden part back. #noonecaresbutimtellingsomeonedamnit

Dogs couldn’t be happier that they can finally roam the yard/swim in the pool relatively freely again. Poor guys definitely gained some weight in the mean time. What a relief though.

Still have to grind a bunch of stumps and get the turf redone. Touch hurricanes.

-Might finally be time to look into getting chickens now that all that’s completed.

-Couldn’t be nicer out today. 81, sunny and a solid little breeze.

-“Pulling” for Michigan but don’t really care either way.

Isn’t Jay mostly doing this with local Philly talent and mixing a few players in out of state here and there? It seems as if that was their strategy for years with all their guards they had that were tough as nails.

There is a difference in having a healthy admiration/respect for a program (which is how I read your stuff) and constantly pouting about our last 9 years specifically one particular game (which is the mode others are stuck in).

I mean, getting beat by a meh team coached by Bruce Webber sucks but in the big scheme of things we didn’t leave a title on the table this year...and we dogged the bullet of any of our main rivals hanging a banner. Get a decent core group back with the guys we have coming in and should be right back in the thick of things with a pretty skilled group.

How many of you would be happy if we failed to make it past the 2nd rd in 7 of the last 9 years? That is what the almighty beautiful style of basketball God, Jay Wright has done.

Top program my ***.

You guys can’t handle us losing in the E8 and S16 the last 2 seasons. No way you would’ve put up with Wright to get to this point where he has had the best team in 2 of the last 3 years.

There isn’t any style that guarantees ****. We’ve had a legit shot to at least make the final four nearly every year Cal has been here. To act like any system or style of play has been more successful than his in the tournament is not just wrong, it’s ********.

Sack up you bunch of pussies.

And happy Easter!
