True but it also has to do with a starting lineup that had proven detrimental. There was zero reason for it.

And, for some reason, running your offense through Washington down the stretch.

How F’ing stupid would Rivers be to run his offense in Game 7 in the fourth quarter through DeAndre Jordan? Thats what Cal just did.

Washington still fouled out almost half of their rotation. He’s not a great free throw shooter, but shooting that bad is still a fluke. Nobody was playing well. SGA and Quade were turning it over for no reason, Knox couldn’t dribble, and our two headed monster at the five were absolutely worthless.

The game was an all around **** show. What a depressing way to go out.

Seemed too good to be true, and it was.

Making the Final Four this season could've made up for a couple of our prior crushing postseason defeats, but that's just not possible for Kentucky. We never luck into anything. Either we earn it the hard way, or it doesn't happen. Ever.

I recognize that and have zero issue having him in the game as he was our best player. I have a huge issue with running our offense through him on the post after his first 10 misses. You’re setting the dude up to fail.

KSU took away other options - they crowded SGA on the pick and roll and forced him into way too many turnovers; and they recognized the obvious about Knox coming off of screens, namely that he has to go counter-clockwise every single time. He can't go the other direction at all.

Expectations change, when you’re staring down a 9 and 11 seed to get to the Final Four you expect to get there no matter how terrible the season was.

Yeah. This team sucked all year. Calipari turned it into something halfway decent toward the end (as he does) but no one thought this pack of jokers was anywhere near actually good.

But we can't beat KSU and Loyola in March to make the Final Four? Good, sweet Lord. That's embarrassing .

Most of us expected to go out early, but at the hands of Arizona or Virginia. But when your path to the Final Four is 12, 13, 9, and 11 then expectations change.

It's partially on us. They beat Davidson and Buffalo and we thought they were getting it. They didn't get anything. Need some fresh blood in here. Hope guys like Keldon Johnson, Quickley, and whatever bigs we add have some GD fight in them. Some of these guys will be up on instagram within the hour.

-yep.

- to your second point...im not counting on a new crop of freshmen leading us to the promised land. At this point it would be an anomaly, not the norm.

Promise I am not trying to be cute, but can we have any expectations for next year? I sure would appreciate if someone let me know.

Wake me up next year right before the SEC tournament. By that time we should be through our 7-10 loss growing pains and peaking just in time for our dog **** conference tournament, just before we end the year with an incredibly painful and avoidable disappointment in the tournament.

I am absolutely 100% over the one and done ******** unless we have multiple lock lottery picks in a single class. It is a depressing disappointing **** show at any other time.

Well it's not changing. If anything, it's getting worse. Kids have now seen a parade of one & dones roll through Lexington for the better part of a decade now. Current high school seniors were in 3rd grade when Calipari was hired. It's all they've ever seen.

If you go to Kentucky, that's the expectation. Leave. As soon as possible. Whether it's a good idea or not. You stay for more than a year or two, something's wrong with you.

Bull ****. It’s not on us. You pay a man 8 mil and he damn well better beat a 12, 13, 9 and 11. No excuses. Our expectations aren’t too high, our ROI is too low.
Said it's on us that we thought these guys had grown up and become realistic contenders, bud. Take a breath before responding to something that wasn't said.
