I took basketball 101 or whatever the code was for that PE credit at UK. The “teacher” of our class was just coming off a stint as a JUCO coach, and was back at UK pursuing his masters.

Clemson went to the Sweet 16 in 1990 with Dale Davis and Elden Campbell. They lost to UConn on a buzzer beater by Tate George. The next game UConn lost to Duke on a buzzer beater by Laettner to go to the FF, his first of those.
Cal’s so good at managing talent that even the guys who don’t make it don’t badmouth him.
If it was just about them, I think plenty of our guys would stick around longer. But it's not, kids like Wenyen have entire families just waiting for them to start producing any sort of income.
I think we probably lose him this year for that reason.

Pushing your kid to the league early so you can mooch off of them is absolutely disgusting. You survived 18ish years without them being in the NBA, maybe try a few more and consider their best interests instead.

Wenyen already has two siblings that have graduated from good colleges (BC, New Hampshire), so I think he’s in better shape than most ya racist.

In fact, Anth, I'm not sure why you want guys to come here at all, as from your perspective it seems it would be much smarter to skip right to the moderate money making stage and go to Europe right out of high school.

I'd much prefer to have guys like Teague, Wenyen, Briscoe, Orton, Wiltjer, Humphries stick around and I don't think it would hurt their career, not sure it would help it either, but don't sit here and act like it's anything other than selfish desire to have them come back. Of course I want him to come back because Kentucky will be better. He's not my child. I don't owe him **** and he doesn't owe me ****. But yes, simultaneously, it does inherently piss me off when people in positions of authority manipulate these guys for their own gain.

Still not sure why it's hard to figure out that a 16 top at Ruth's Chris isn't going to have one person pay the $1600+ tab. Especially when the server upsold some wine and a seafood tower to one end of the table and not the other. They managed to cook everything to perfection and everything was completely on point until they acted surprised that we wanted checks divided out. They told us it would take 45 minutes to do. False.

Once in Chicago, which was complete BS because we were all at separate tables in a bar. About 10 of which I barely knew and slid in and out during the time we were there.
This last time, I get a little more. 16 people at a bar table. Pretty easy to see what's going on. Typically in that setting the server asks first thing. If you're going to allow that number of people to sit together, split the tab. What else are you going to do?
If you're not going to allow splitting then either clarify it right next to the where it says, gratuity automatically added for parties over 6 OR don't allow parties that size.
Amazing 95% of restaurants can easily split tabs without trouble.

I typically agree with 8 but I will also go along with the group occasionally. I'm not just going to stay home because a few extras jumped in.
30+ deep last year at STK in Vegas. Was probably the most fun event of the trip. No issues. Same exact setup.
Splitting checks was relatively simple as a server in 2000. Can’t believe it’s become such a difficult task the last 20 years.
