-One bracket per contest. Have some integrity. I don't participate in our office contest because so many people fill out multiple brackets. "Well, in one bracket I have Gonzaga vs. Michigan State in the finals. In another one I have Arizona vs. Duke!". Get out of here with that nonsense. Have some stones.

-Late on this, obviously, but here's how you fix that selection show: Put it on CBS. Replace Ernie with Adam Zucker. Replace Barkley and Smith with Rothstein and Parrish. Reveal all the brackets first, but leave the final eight at-large spots blank. Reveal those final eight at-large teams last.

-I'm not a huge Chris Webber fan on the call, but the PBP guy, Brian Anderson, is underrated.

-Why are beets in everything now? Get out, beets.

Unless its a fundraiser for BTBC. Then everyone should fill out 7 brackets.

Andy Enfield put everybody on blast after one of the worst tournament snubs ever. Bruce Rasmussen mentioned RPI as one of the three main criteria this year, and USC had the highest RPI of any team to get left out of the field.

When Andy Katz was talking to one of the committee guys yesterday morning, he mentioned that he hadn't gotten an opportunity to watch the Pac-12 title game, in which USC put up a pretty good fight and lost to Arizona. Led at half, lost by 10 but it was a lot closer than that with a lot of late FTs.

And a guy with one job didn't get to watch one of the conference championship games because it was late?

Brah. Stay up. I don't care if it's spring forward, it's your job.

Guess we’re going to have to roll in like Swayze and start cleaning up the bracket again.

Looks like Davidson plays 7.
6 guys that could play for Wisconsin and 1 that looks like he would play for Wisconsin but never graduate under Bo Ryan.

They will be the trendy pick ala Cornell.

I don't think they have enough bodies to throw at UK

Davidson is about 15 minutes from where I am and I've seen them a few times. To be honest, they do have some size, but nowhere near the athleticism. People will talk about UVA's defense in this bracket but our defense has been underrated. We guard the 3 point line better than most teams in the country and our one main draw back that everyone seems to target (shooting) is turning around.

I like my team.

Peyton Aldridge is legit. I've had him on my NCAA fantasy team the last 2 years. Because of that, I've paid more attention to Davidson than most.

They were only like 11-9 heading into February and have really played well since then. That just happened to be when Aldridge took his game back up a notch, too.

UNC got them by 10 and UVA beat them by 20 early in the season.

Aldridge isn't the only shooter, they have a frosh G who can light it up.

I think our length will give them fits. But make no mistake, if we don't play well, they can beat us.

If we play good D and dominate the glass we will win comfortably.

As a 1 or 2 seed you usually get one easy gimme game to start the tourney and get a little comfortable, we are a 5 seed, we will get no easy games, just like 2011, 2014, and 2016. We have no one to blame but ourselves, but we're peaking at the right time so let's do this ****.

Davenport to UL is like Kim Anderson getting the Mizzou job. The difference is UL fans would love the hire. They would rather have Scotty than Tom Crean. So yeah, let it happen.

When is UL back in the tournament? 2022?

I get the feeling that their fans have not realized that 2018 is the high point for the next few years. It is only going downhill for an unknown amount of time.

Eric Crawford calling for Richie's boy Scotty Davenport to get the UofL gig.

He’s a fantastic x’s and o’s coach. He’s also come a long way in terms of polish and appearance compared to where he was at Ballard, thanks in large part to Pitino who essentially told him to drop 80 lbs and quit coming across as a general slob.

I would wonder about his ability to recruit at a high level though.

* This...

* Containing Peyton Aldridge will be the key to the game (/obvious). 6-8 kid who can stretch the floor, hit the 3pt shot at 39.4% and leads the team in rebounding. Averaging 27ppg in Davidson's last 5 games. He's touches every aspect of Davidson's game.

* 48.5% of Davidson's overall FGAs for the season came off a 3pt shot. That's a ridiculously high percentage, but even more impressive is the fact that they hit at a 39% clip for the season.

* Hard to put much stock into this stat, since it was early in the season and it's a small sample size, but in their only high-major games (UNC and UVA), they shot 13/46 on 3FGAs, for 28.2%. I remember watching the UNC game, and their length and athleticism really bothered Davidson on the perimeter.

* The only way I see Davidson beating UK is if they hit at, or above, their season average from 3pt range. In the last 8 game stretch, UK is only giving up 33% on 3pt attempts with teams averaging 26 3FGA/GM. Only two teams shot higher than 35% in our last 8 games ----> Tennessee yesterday and Florida a week ago.

* UK's season average on the boards is +6 compared to Davidson. They have some size, but not nearly enough to compete with UK's bigs if PJ, Knox, and Hami hit the boards. This should be a huge advantage for UK.

* In summary, f*ck Davidson.

Gonna go with False on this. That fan base thinks it's right there w/ the Blue Bloods at this point, fairly certain they wouldn't LOVE anything about it -- but he may be a solid bridge choice while they suffer their consequences.

Yeah, I'm not sure I know a single UofL fan that would want to hire Scotty F'ing Davenport [laughing]. That would be a colossally awful hire.

Actually sounds like they're going to be fine now as everyone else was caught red-headed by the FBI offering $100K to a recruit whilst on probation for whores so NCAA has to dismiss. Caller on the Deener show this morning seemed relaxed and ready to turn the page tbh.

I'm just going by what I hear on the radio and people I know, an overwhelming amount keep bringing up his name. I find it astonishing. And if they have to make a bridge hire then they mine as well keep Padgett. All things considered, I still think Chris Mack takes the job. I'm sticking by my original prediction, but I'm rooting for Ol' Scotty!
