I don’t think the UL BOT Chairman, David Grissom, will be in favor of that banner staying up. He seems fearless and has proven to do whatever it takes to repair UL’s image, even its an unpopular move. Jurich and Pitino were taken back that somebody who should have more authority and power than they did didn’t blink when it was time to make moves.

Oh, Fergie was way worse. At least Carl gave us the best 5 minutes in radio history.

Also, found this. What's so hard about this ESPN? This is what made you great. Stop over thinking it.

A pilot made an emergency landing after a fight broke out over a passenger who allegedly refused to stop passing gas. Two Dutchmen sitting next to the flatulent passenger reportedly asked the man to stop, but he refused and continued to break wind aboard the Transavia Airlines flight from Dubai to Amsterdam Schiphol.

The budget airline crew allegedly did not help the passengers after their complaints, Metro reports, leading to a fight between the men. Despite a warning from the pilot, the altercation continued and forced the airplane to be diverted to Vienna Airport, where it made an emergency landing.

How’s the Jared Lorenzen Project been going?

I assume he’s only gotten lazier and fatter, which pretty much defeats the entire purpose of the ordeal.

Lunchtime Shorts:

- Our cat died on Friday leaving my fiancé swinging between hysterical and sobbing all weekend, so that sucked. I had actually bonded with the little girl much to my surprise. My golden and my girl are both really sad right now.

- Coming up on about a month and a half into renovating this house and I’m at my wits end. I see the light though and it’s going to be awesome but with March on the horizon, I’ worried.

- Green showed me a lot Saturday and I’m talking about his defense. He was outstanding against the ballyhooed Colin Sexton- who until the game, I thought was a blonde Catholic school kid.

- Tough for a Winterball like me to be pushing so hard for spring but a big couple of months for dad.

- No rest for the weary as the Cats head to Fayetteville to take on the redhot Hogs. Curious if we can build on that effort.

You'd think a couple of Dutchmen would know how to plug a hole.

- KHSAA Basketball post season begins this week. Seems like district tourneys get earlier every year (they do).

- Teacher "work day" today. Students are off. I get to watch some film and game prep. I'll take it.

- Lots of immature students throughout the state "copy catting" this school shooter. Making threats (all probably empty threats) all over social media. Apparently, teenagers can go into other peoples social media pictures and create their own caption now? What a world, man. Kids are going to do immature stuff, but you just can't take anything for granted now and that's a shame.

- My assessment of the Cats' struggles on the offensive end: no shooters. It's as simple as that. You can run whatever offense you want, but if you don't have anyone to stretch the floor, all offenses will wind up a muddled mess because defenses will not come out past 18 ft. to guard you. Cal looks like he's running a lot of set plays and counters out of Horns sets. If you don't have guys that can make shots in the corners . . . well, good luck. Same thing for the continuation ball screen sets. If you don't have a guard that can consistently raise up and make a jumper, why would a defense do anything other than hedge flat (no switch) and have the on-ball defender go underneath the screen. That's why the lane is always clogged. It really doesn't matter what we run. Got to have shooters. The good news is, Green and Knox are beginning to make a few. If Wenyen can get back to being serviceable from the arc, we may have something.

- February teaser days are awesome, but they always seem to be followed up by a blizzard at the end of the first week of March. Save this post and watch.

Yeah that’s what I’m seeing. We both have one in mind, guess we’ll see who can negotiate a better deal. (Mine is bad ***)

Honestly can’t even begin to explain the fever pitch the lass has put into “the big day.” My head is spinning. It’s like a blitzkrieg. I think she may have it all ironed out by next week at this pace.

The False Hussies should be available.

- 2nd time at Versailles Brewing Company. Last time the kitchen was closed due to a water main break. Solid grub on the menu. Still excellent and inexpensive craft beer selection. Not too shabby being between and abandoned Kmart and an abandoned Kroger.

- This weather today and tomorrow. :100points:

- Fergie just about killed her career last night. If you're going to do a new and different take on that song, you better know your **** musically. Marvin Gaye and Aretha Franklin come to mind. That said, I've always preferred America The Beautiful. Would make a better national anthem.

- I work with a member of Thumper and the Plaid Rabbits. I saw those guys 27 years ago at Two Keys. I think they still play around Louisville mostly.

Probably a safe assumption. I was informed by a local high-schooler that "some obese guy came and talked to us about how we need to eat right." Once I figured out who he was talking about, I mentioned that I had heard that he was on this new diet/exercise plan and did he mention how it was going. "I think he said he was just getting started with it."

Bagley goes out, Duke immediately puts together their most impressive 3 game stretch of the season.

Mike Krzyzewski had an interesting take earlier this week, noting that Allen, the lone senior in the rotation, is expected to be the leader of this young team but it's been tough to lead on the floor with him playing off the ball. Allen is averaging 22.3 points, 5.3 assists and 2.3 steals in this three-game run, leading the team in scoring in all three wins and seeing a lot more of the ball on the offensive end.

"Since Marvin's been out, we've switched his role. We kind of flip-flopped it today based on matchups, but for the most part he's bringing the ball up and he can be in control of the team," Krzyzewski said on Sunday after the win. "As our leader, that puts him in a more prominent spot and the kids respond a little bit better."

Just as BasketballDeKnoct said would happen. That's why people come to this thread.

-IU fans freaking out about Romeo. I think it will be weak AF if he bounces out of state, personally -- but I expect it to happen. Seems like the classic Kansas late pickup, but obviously rooting for Vandy & SAE.

-Thinking about changing my nickname to 'Sticks' in honor of Sean Larkin, who flat comes to play every weekend. Dude is as consistent & composed as they come.

-Had a super gumby cart full of expensive goodies at Costco yesterday before choking, leaving the cart, and walking out with nothing. Saved a LOT of money, and despite some slight guilt for the stock boy that will have to replace my wares, felt good about the decision after I got home. You absolutely cannot go in that place if you're hungry or just bored, need to go in there w/ a plan or it can get out of control quick.

I put the perishables back. The rest I just mentally "charged" to my $100 annual membership.

Stick w/ sending back half your meals, Anth.

Never sent back 1/2 a meal and I can't recall ever initiating sending any food back. Stop being a bad person.

Never actually seen Anth send a meal back. He usually just complains to the group and tells the waiter everything was fine.

I mean, I don’t really get that.

If it sucks, have them fix it. Doesn’t mean you have to be a giant ahole about it.

How’s the food? Well it’s not good.

I've never done that at a store but it's sort of a thing for me to sometimes place an order at a drive thru, do some self-evaluation (usually prompted by something), and then just cruise past the drive thru windows when I'm up.

I mean usually there's some worker scratching his *** and smoking cigs by the dumpster or something but sometimes I just realize this whole decision was regrettable. Don't @ me.

Sending something 1/2 eaten back is being a giant ahole. As is leaving a fully stocked cart in an aisle for a poor stock boy to put up.
