-when i think of status quo ky bridle belt/pastel dudes, i think of joey. That guy is as whitebread as them come. Not odd at all.
I’ve developed the ultimate winter uniform for a “creative” as of late. This fall, I purchased eight navy/dark blue sweaters of different knits/cuts from Uniqlo. I wear one every day along with a button down and jeans. Steel toed boots complete the look and I’m working for the weekend just like everyone else, IMO.

For your review: My cousin has developed a illusionary shirt business that is dope as hell for daily-sweater wearing pros such as myself. Collar-Up (my cousin is not the guy in the vids). As a bonus: Ol’ boy has a primo “Buttermelk Pike, NKY” accent to raise your hackles.

So how much have the 2 bridges helped the downtown Louisville traffic? I mean they had been talking about that East End bridge for 4 years. I had to go to Indiana a few weeks ago and there was basically no traffic at 9:00 AM over the East End bridge.
First off, they’d been talking about the East End bridge for 30 years. That they actually built two is nothing short of a miracle. Look forward to my grandkids getting to see the Kentucky Colonels revived in 2061.

Pretty amazing how much the whole thing has helped. Barring wrecks you can get out of downtown to the burbs fairly quick. Of course still have 64 and 71 two lanes out of downtown which Is patently absurd but one thing at a time I guess.

Paint - $4500
Carpet - $3000
Trim - $2500
Bathroom - $5000

I guess their "$15k" basement didn't come with drywall, electric, hvac, insulation, lumber/framing, etc.?

Hot damn. You could literally hire dr's and lawyers to do a basement and be cheaper.
Go with Rudd's $20k, you should be fine. Don't go with 73's numbers, apparently he is hiring Kenny Chesney and Justin Bieber to paint.

So Fox41 running a special on Biggie/Tupac tonight with Ice T as the investigator.

20+ years later and somehow Ice T gets “Freddie Nickles” first ever interview and no one else ever tried to get ahold of this dude for his take on Quad shootings. He was PACs bodyguard, and it seems that would be a guy to get a statement from!

-$4500 is higher than a cats ***, 73. $500 in materials and 80 man hrs @ $25 would get her done.
I mean, I don’t care if the documents are detailed to the gnat’s ***, I may not know my *** from apple butter, and yeah, sure, if my organization were a totem pole I’d be the buried part, but if I got that bid from 73, I’d say, “Look man, I’m a nice guy, but I know how to spell ‘*******. So why don’t you go back and sharpen your pencil without taking it out of your sub’s ***. Because right now, your bid is more way more than a CH off, bossman.

If there is one thing I know about '73 it is that this argument isnt even close to being over and we will all soon be getting an education about labor, materials, contingencies, and whatever else he decides we need a lesson on.

There’s going to be a *lot* of riding around w him.

I just took a look at the third party pricing software that most insurance carriers force us to use. This is the updated pricing for Feb 2018 for Louisville.

The most common line item that we typically get to use is PNT SP2 (coat of seal, 2 coats of paint). This is for painting walls & ceilings. It is not based on SF of home but on surface area. It pays out .96/SF. This is for labor and material. We are forced to line item everything so we write for painting baseboards, trim, window stools, etc. For example, 2 coats of baseboard paint is $1.05 per LF. So that could build the price up more but I can't get it up to $3. It is closed to 2 per SF of floor.

I did find a line item that I have never seen used before. It is for painting new construction by the SF. Seal/paint interior - per SF of floor - 1 tone- New Const. pays $3.41. Oddest thing about it is it calls for one coat of seal and one coat of paint.

Those are retail prices. The GC isn't paying that.

Willy just hire some Mexicans from the parking lot at Home Depot and you'll be fine.

Anth I have a new 2300 sf ranch I'm working on. Want to do the new 95% Hvac system and ducts for $7k? You'll make about $100 but that's a win win for both of us. If not I can use krazy's guy, who said he would do it for $5k.

:joy:

I can’t even convince you to use me for materials!

In all fairness my paint bid was $5200 on 1800 sq ft unfinished basement from the painters so the price is about the same.

Willy, just paint the **** yourself man as it pays pretty damn well.

-losing brown is a kick in the balls, fer shern.

-73 knows more about residential construction than anyone here. But, that painting number is wrong. Its ok, man. it happens.

-there is an absolutly an "02 surcharge" in Lexington. Im sure its the same in upper middle class neighborhoods everywhere.

Man these Winter Olympics are blah, remember thinking the olympics were so cool when I was a kid but a lot of these sports are repetitive and boring AF. The ski jump is cool for about 5 minutes. How the hell do people even come up with half these damn events.

Y'all on crack if you think $3/sf is expensive for new construction upper middle class neighborhood finish painting.

-see, i get what your saying here. However this is a basement w/ 1 half bath.

Minimal trim: 2 doors/frames. Baseboards. Depending on ceiling heights willy may opt for crown molding.

Walls: one color for toilet, one color for great room. Eggshell or flat.

Ceilings: again two colors. Mrs Rudd reccomends wall color mixed with ceiling white 25/75.

/

Unless willy is getting nuts with wainscoting and a coffered ceiling. $2500 is a good number.

We are looking at a new build by CA tomorrow that isn't painted yet. Since the wife will probably change the color anyway, can we save thousands by telling them not to paint it?

Yes you would save from having to repaint it.

I assume most builder prefer your route where you are coming in late in the build process with minimal decision making.
