-While retirement sounds good in theory, and no way I want to go this hard late in life, it also sounds boring as f*ck. I'll need to find something to occupy time. Hard to just shut that off.

Im going to retire at 50 and enjoy the **** out of everyday, doing whatever the f*$k i wanna do. Maybe ill keep the shop open, to give me something to do when I'm bored, but I'll only be around when i feel it. My mom retired at 60, traveled for 2 years, and then was diagnosed with ALS, dead 2 1/2years later. Screw that ****!
I think ALS is the worst. Thankfully, no one close to me has suffered, but of all the ways to buy the farm, it's up there among the worst. Sorry about your mom.
I finally worked up the courage to watch the Gleason documentary a couple weeks ago. Holy moly. Sat at home by myself in the dark, polished a bottle of wine, and bawled thru the whole thing.

That's awful but hopefully you are enjoying life before retirement as well. Can't imagine getting up at 5a to go sit at Dairy Queen for 3 hours, play a round of golf, eat dinner at 4p and asleep at 7:30 is going to be better than what I'm currently doing.

I assumed all of GYERO worked only because they wanted to occupy time, already being extremely wealthy, hitting 300+ yard drives, etc. Not BRax-level KILLING IT, but sufficient nonetheless. The only group surpassing GYERO financially is likely the Facebook MLM crowd selling R&F, toothpaste, hair restoration, essential oils, Zija, etc. #beyourownboss

Maybe Tiger juiced, maybe he didn't, but I definitely wouldn't be dismissive of the pseudo Navy Seals ******** being the root of his injuries. After having read that article about him, I think him playing Army was the biggest factor in his breakdown.

Tiger is fine, actually. He'll be 42 next year, which is about the time most golfers come back from a decade of personal turmoil and devastating, reoccurring injuries. Not to mention, Phil is about to hit his stride at 47 years old, and he'll be bringing home a few more big trophies as well.

Phil's going to contend in majors into his 50s. I feel fairly certain of that. At age 45, he was 11 shots clear of 3rd place at The Open, and it took Stenson going all-Johnny Miller to beat him. Win 2 or 3 more? Doubt it, but it's not out of the realm of possibility.
However, I'd be surprised if Tiger ever plays in another major besides The Masters. I think 2018 is the last year he's exempt into the other three.

Not saying that didn't contribute to him touching up his body, temporarily. But with all the resources El Tigre has at his disposal, therapy and recovery would be quick and likely wouldn't have caused him to completely drop off a cliff like he did.

Of the 94 former NFL players that have donated their brain to the project, 90 have been found to have CTE. Hernandez will be the same. While it will never forgive what he did, and his "life sentence" was certainly deserved, it will go a long way in explaining his psychotic behavior. Unfortunately, he'll be another in a long line of football players that science, parenting, and common sense ignored.

No, he can play all the other majors besides the US Open basically for a lifetime(British ends at age 60) And i would imagine he would get quite a few US Open exemptions if he were to choose to play. But the money is now on Phil because Tiger wont be adding to any wins or majors.

Not disagreeing on CTE- but I think there may have been enough evidence that Hernandez was pretty awful maybe even before his brain was soup.
When did his brain become soup?
Smashing your head into things can cause brain damage at any age, you know.
Oh, and we'd also know WAY more about CTE and the role that smashing your head into things played into it if there wasn't a systematic, widespread, organized denial of its cause and existence.
