* Danny Ainge really doesn't get the credit he deserves at all. He's made some nice moves for the current roster, but they are especially LOADED going forward in the draft. What an amazing job. I think his playing reputation of being a pesky, annoying, whiny little prick has really worn off the shine from his front office work.
* The Reds are winning with pitching (bullpen) and defense. Last night in the (??) 5th inning, Hamilton caught a ball in deep left center for the 1st out of the inning, that would have otherwise been a double. At best, even your more talented centerfielders would have had to make a diving catch. He was practically camping out underneath it as it came down. That's how much ground he covers. Then Suarez snagged a line shot down the 3rd base line and somehow started a double play to end the inning. Unreal.
Our problem will be our starting pitching. The game is moving in the direction where starters aren't quite as important as relievers, but we just can't go thru the entire year with Brandon Finnegan as our ace. That's a bad look.
* Kentucky basketball sure has come a long way in the last 10 years. Remember when our fans were crying because of Coach K's AMEX commercial??
Well, I have a feeling tonight's 30 for 30 will be an hour long infomercial on the Kentucky basketball program. Free advertising/propoganda. Can't wait, as Bart Scott would say.

The Easter eggs represent the boulder that covered Jesus' tomb. When he escaped, his disciples cracked it open to find caramel and nougat inside. Then a rabbit hopped next to them and gave them a wink and a gun. And that's why we celebrate Easter.

Wodie... The Frankfort Ave Business Association puts on an Easter Parade every Saturday of Easter Weekend. I'm the Treasurer so I had the fella dressing up as the bunny give me the bunny suit for the Lil Lass.

Seems like Nintendo would make a kajillion more dollars if they'd re-release all the old Nintendo games as mobile games. They just need to stop making consoles all together because they are garbage at it. Just become a software company and leave the consoles to Microsoft and Sony.

Just taking last year's champs...the team from Wrigley had 4 starters win at least 15 games. They only had 38 saves as a team....10th in the NL. Their starters were 81-39 w/ a 2.96 era....ridiculous. The Nats were 72-44 w/ a 3.60 era...also stellar, and their rotation speaks for itself. Had the Mets not had injuries, and had run support, they would have been right there as well.
This doesn't mean you don't have to have quality middle relief, and a capable closer...that is mandatory these days, but the importance is in the rotation X infinity.
To even comment about the Reds this early is asinine...they have a horrible team and will likely end up 10-15 games below .500.

There were only *six* National League pitchers last year who threw for 200+ innings.
The Cubs' 2003 team alone had 4 such men. Soooo.......if the starters aren't getting as many outs nowadays, who's picking up the slack? Do they put in another starter??

IIRC that was year that Dusty ruined both Wood and Prior, especially Prior. Man that guy could have been something special.
The Cubs had 4 starters throw for 188+ innings though, and their starting staff is considered one of the best in MLB. And when Kyle Hendricks went out in Game 7, the Cubs didn't turn to the bullpen, but Jon Lester on short rest for 3 innings. I realize that the game has slightly changed and the days of the 250+ inning pitcher are gone, but the best teams are going to get around 200 innings from their starters, and usually have 3 or 4 of those guys who can go deep into the playoffs.
I also think pitching is very important.
The best MLB teams usually have good pitching and score runs alot.
Why were those dumbasses considering a player that had been fake drafted by the fake Jets 20 minutes previously?
