Don't really like our draw b/c of UCLA but Jesus Christ. This seeding ***** session is going on 7+ days and we've basically known our 1 and 3 for the entire time. Move the f#ck on.

Did anyone really think having Mitch there would change our draw? Surely not.

At the risk of sounding arrogant, it's not the challenge of taking on NKU and Wichita State that makes me hate the NCAA for these seeding decisions; our squad should be more than up for the challenge. It's (a) the personal belief that both of those teams deserve to have a decent chance at a Cinderella run, and I would personally love to be in a position to cheer them on, but I am deprived of the opportunity to do so because (b) the selection committee is screwing those teams by inexplicably putting them in our path: NKU's first appearance in the NCAA Div 1 tournament diminished because they get ragdolled by the legendary dominant in-state team; Wichita State being rewarded for a strong season by once again being put in the path of the Wildcat tornado.

As for UCLA and UNC as likely 2nd week matchups, who can blame the NCAA for wanting premiere/marquee/elite matchups? Those games are ratings powerhouses.

This is the hand we're dealt, so let's get at it. And if this squad can run that gauntlet, we'll know no one in the final four can stand in our way.

I've already read like four pieces on UK getting screwed. So, no, its not just whiny UK fans.

Anyway- Vegas and the metrics still love us. It's the talking heads who don't. 538 has us as their #4 favorite.

Would love another shot at UCLA.

The Whiteys (Welsh and Leaf) have shot over 70% combined if you go back to last season when Welsh went 8 for 11.

Plus, they had to shoot 53/44/81 in December to get the win.

Surely that sh$t can't continue.

Defense is better than December.

Give Hawkins some run guarding Balls.

Let's go!

NKY may burn to the ground Friday night- all the St. Patty stuff leading into chirpy NKU "making history!!!" and normal UK fan colliding in Covington/newport bars, etc.

SELECTION SUNDAY LOSERS

Kentucky | Seed: 2 | Region: South

Kentucky has won 11 games in a row. The reward? Perhaps the toughest road to the Final Four of any top-four seed. The road could begin in the second round with 10-seed Wichita State, and with a bit of déjà vu. Back in 2014, the Shockers were a 1-seed, but drew an underseeded Kentucky team in an epic Round of 32 showdown. This time around, it’s the Wildcats who could face a criminally underseeded Wichita State team in the same round. In fact, if Kentucky wants to make the Final Four, it might have to go through two KenPom top-10 teams, plus a third team, UCLA, that is in the top 10 of most other rankings. A Wichita State-UCLA-North Carolina back-to-back-to-back would be murderous.

NCAA Tournament 2017: Kentucky gets slapped with the bracket once again

What would an NCAA Tournament be without Kentucky getting slapped upside the head with a bracket?

I mean, really, when’s the last time you looked at where the Wildcats were placed in the field and said, “Cakewalk!” OK, maybe you’d never say “cakewalk” under any circumstance. It’s a pretty lame expression. If you’re a Kentucky fan, though, you don’t even need a preferable synonym handy. It never comes up.

Let me know if you need the link/invite to the CBS sports bracket. If you have played before, you should have an email to fill out your bracket from CBS sports. It's the Team Bryant bracket. You can fill out up to 3 at $10 each.

What I wouldn't give to see South Carolina knock out Duke in South Carolina. Shew, talk about intoxicating tears.

On the one hand, the Gamecocks are an SEC also-ran which means they will lose in the first round. On the other hand, Frank Martin may murder people to keep that from happening.

We shall see.

-love Nashville. Really would live there if things were different. Ready for a new SECT venue though.

-Lol at us leaving the crew on Friday around 430 to go eat dinner with our parents. Then returning to find them 3a drunk at 7:30p. Not sure what exactly went down but apparently it turned into shot-a-rama.

-OMG milqtauste screwed us again. Doinks!!

-Only bummer is sharing a city with UL dbags. Thankfully Big Time Yurts, Elleraiser and JDUB Ent will be at Tryst Ultra Lounge where I'll never have to see them.

-Chicken fingers!!

Re: Boeheim... is this right that they won 2 games all year that weren't in the Carrier Dome? Won by 1 @ Clemson and in OT vs. NC State? By all means, make your case, Jimmy. They're awful and big props for booking one decent away non-conference game and losing to Wisconsin - may they lose by 20 in Greensboro.

* I blame Willy and a sneaky AP.com for taking Friday's festivities to the moon. Also, a Fear and Loathing encounter at Paradise Park while you guys were in the arena.

* Saturday postgame Tin Roof looked like a morgue. No clue how I used to pull a Thursday night through Sunday bender in ATL / Nashville? Still licking my wounds.

* Outrage has passed after a few hours of looking at the bracket, enjoying the cloak of disrespect and ready to make another storied run. No doubt Hawkins provides a couple more pelts to his legacy along the way as well.

* Always takes me a few swings and misses, some cussing and then finally relenting with a reset password request every year Sloot sends the BTBC bracket challenge [eyeroll]

* Cue it up, Herb Alpert!
