I love the pass Kansas gets from the media. They continually struggle AT HOME against teams, some which are pure **** (Oklahoma 10-19) and the narrative is always "my god they find a way to win!!". ESPN with a piece this morning titled "Kansas has the best closers in Basketball".

Kentucky plays a close game against **** teams (Georgia, Mizzou, Alabama) and the entire discussion is WHAT IS WRONG WITH CAL AND THE CATS?

All this Allen Fieldhouse love just shows you how damn good Tyler Ulis was. Went in there and dominated that game last year.

I'll give Kansas this: An admirable quality in a team is the ability to make a shot when one absolutely has to be made, and when Kansas fell behind by 11 points with 10 minutes left, they hit their next 10 shots in a row. And it wasn't just one guy getting it done. They were executing their stuff to perfection when it got to winning time.

Now that doesn't mean that Frank Mason isn't still capable of flinging a few off the backboard in the tournament, but they'll be the deserving #1 overall seed for sure.

Who are your Top 5 teams, Chad...other than Kentucky?

-Sounds silly to say, but really wish we had Mulder or Willis in the fold for next season.

UNC loses to Duke or in the ACC Tournament (finish with 7 losses)
Oregon loses in Pac 12 tournament (finish with 5 losses)
Arizona loses in Pac 12 Tournament (finish with 5 losses)
Louisville loses in ACC tournament (finish with 7 losses)
ZAGS dont win the conference tournament

KATS win out, win the regular season and conference tournament, winner of 11 straight (finish with 5 losses)

Assuming UCLA, NOVA & Kansas get #1 seeds. Who gets the fourth?

Welsh is the sleeper of that team...and not just against us. Talk about a guy who knows his role/strengths. He's just damn good.

11 ppg, 9rpg, 1.5 bpg...and shoots 60% from the field w/ many (most) of those jump shots. Oh, and he shoots 94% from the FT line (although he doesn't shoot a ton).

When you want to keep playing with Lonzo but you don't want to put up with LaVar anymore

I'll give them credit, UCLA hasn't lost since LaVar went off on TJ Leaf unprovoked.

I think there are about a dozen teams at the same level. My favorites in no particular order:

UCLA
Oregon
North Carolina
Villanova
Gonzaga

Bodes well for a young, up-and-comer like UK.

-How can Kansas not be one of the favorites going into the tourney? Best back court in the country. Clutch. Experienced. Can shoot the lights out. We've seen this before. Mason is the type of guard that can carry a team. Nova and KU would be in my F4 regardless of their draw.

-Almost like someone indicated 2-3 weeks back that we could still jump up and grab a 1 seed b/c the rest of the teams have to beat each other up. Still remote chance but we should be a solid 2. Hopefully that 2 is in Memphis. As it stands, seems like South is still very likely.

So looking at the latest ESPN poll, we have lost to the #1, #2, #7 (on the road), and #12 (on the road) teams. The only outlier is the Tennessee game, in terms of a "bad" loss, but even that game was on the road, and in a rivalry game.

From Kenny's perspective, we have lost to the #4, #6, #9, #13, and #56 teams.

Not too shabby...throw out the Tennessee clunker.

Have you watched Kansas in the NCAA Tournament before?

And only one of those was a game we weren't in (@ Florida).

Cute ignoring that we've lost to every good team we've played, including twice at Rupp...except when Monk had 47 points and we won at the buzzer.

Meh, we've got some solid wins. Were crushing souls early. Battled 2 of the toughest teams to the very end(UL and KU). Beat UNC, when their superstar went off as well. Don't have any real head scratcher loses and I honestly think the SEC is drastically underrated. Easy to pick on us but their aren't more than 5-6 better resumes out there.

I have.

13 years under Self. 29-12 in the Big Dance.

2 first rd flame outs.
3 2nd rd flame outs.
They've made it to the Sweet Sixteen 8x, Elite Eight 6x, Final Four 2x and have 1 title and 1 runner up.

So they have a better chance of getting knocked out in the 1st 2 rds than they do going to the Final Four.

Lolz. Again, who are you hitching your wagon to Chad?

Kansas has the likely NPOY in Sr. Frank Mason, and the best overall player in college basketball in Josh Jackson. And tons of other good players/shooters. The most loaded guard/wing team in the country...last time I checked (last year) that's a pretty good recipe for March.

...and they will be the overall #1 seed. Other than that, I agree that they suck.

All that said, I'm still rooting for Jay. :)
