Trying to feel better about last night's cluster, so I checked out the 2014 schedule. We lost 4 of our last 7 regular season games in 2014, including a really bad loss at South Carolina on March 1. Hope. Alive. Maybe? I think it has been covered to Keeneland wardrobe levels, but it is the regression that is concerning and frustrating. Need a Tweakscoe.

Offensive efficiency down to 11th.

Cal has really mismanaged this group. The team just isn't built in a way that's consistent with how he likes to coach. Play Mulder & Willis (more drive & kick/lob, less feed the post), take your lumps on D, and outscore people. Stop trying to grind everything out. Mizzou shouldn't have been within 20 points of us.

Cal would rather win 68-61 than 98-81, and it's choking the life out of this team. It's Tubby-esque.

There's still time to fix it, but not much.

Every year I just find myself wanting to get out of the SEC. Even the undefeated season, it was an ugly, enthusiasm-sucking grind. The reasons: Every team plays out its ***; it's zone or packed-in D every game; the refs are the worst in the country; we're always young so this is our first experience with this ****; and Cal's coaching style of letting the other team dictate the tempo.

It's exhausting as a fan. Can just imagine what it's like as a player.

J.J. Redick is an unrestricted free agent. Pelicans need to be beating down that guy's door.

Today is going to be miserable, but I'll be pretty golden to close out the week.

Need to get my lawn mower to @HUBER for winter servicing. I have a coupon. It also needs new front tires.

Saturday we are keeping my two older nieces and my nephew. Oh what fun new words they're going to learn as Florida cruises in Rupp.

News says that testosterone therapy is bad for your heart. Shocking. Can't believe it's not a good idea for a 55 year old man to run around with the hormone levels of a 20 year old.

Need UNC to take out the Cards tonight. Probably need them to win out because that means dealing Duke, Louisville, and Virginia another loss.

I lay my own black hardwood mulch 2x per year, UKO. Keep after the illegals and you'll be doing the same yourself here in pretty short order.

My guy is legal...has a truck and everything ;)

And I pay cash w/ a six of PBR that is his fav.

This Briscoe stuff has really affected my relationship with deKnoct. Has anyone else from CatPaw lost a friend over a heavyset positionless turnover goblin?

Hey, I've seen Baldwin play. He's not that turnover prone.

We aren't **** without Briscoe. :100points:

He's also one of the Top 50 most efficient players in the SEC.

So 6 Kentucky players are more efficient than sophomore leader Briscoe including much maligned Willis and Izak? Impressive for him.

I can live with him making mistakes and whatever but being a complete ***** about it is where I draw the line.

I like the Fox, Monk, Mulder, Willis, Bam line up. Defense will be an issue, but it is with every other lineup, too. I like having 3 shooters to spread out the floor.

I want as much PT as possible for the 3 seniors right now. They each have flaws, but more often than not, they play like they give a damn.

Well, that's a little iffy on Willis, but we can use his shooting and rebounding. Defense sucks just as bad with Gabriel in there.

Hawkins has been playing really well lately.

Except for the giveaways, Briscoe wasn't terrible last night. 4-6 FG and his usual assists and rebounding. He just needs to let the game come to him and concentrate on setting others up. And stay the eff away from the baseline. And stop being a bitchy little punk.

Monk has had a few bad games in a row. Hopefully that means he will go bonkers on Saturday.

My ideal minutes breakdown right now would be...

Fox - 32
Monk - 32
Bam - 32
Willis - 25
Briscoe - 22
Hawkins - 18
Mulder - 18
Gabriel - 13
iZack - 8

That would obviously change based on hot hands, dick fingers and dontgiveafuckatosis.

We need the Big 3 to play like future NBA stars to reach our ceiling.

And we need at least 2 shooters on the floor at all times.

Our defense isn't suddenly going to become incredible. We need to score the basketball. A lot.

Just keep winning, I guess. If by chance we can take care of Florida Saturday, I mean, things are looking pretty good on paper.

That saddens me, Wodie. Haven't been to Barbara Lee's in years but for an old school greasy spoon diner.. It serves its purpose.

Haven't been to a Waffle House in ages. Think I may get up really early on Saturday and hit one up after a run.

Went to Waffle House last week for a morning solo breakfast. Sat at the counter. Listened to a few old timers shoot the breeze. Enjoyed my coffee. Read the paper.

After a 76 and pleasant Friday looking at 43 and windy at tip Saturday. Been saying for years we needed to get Florida up here later in the year/out of their enviroment in the cold.

Here is your chance. Good work Mitch.

Did anyone actually read all that? (no)

Swimmer probably wouldn't even read that.

Here let me shorten it for you...

Five starters should be Fox, Monk, Mulder, Willis and Bam.
Ugly defense, but that's the case with every lineup we have.
Cal needs to get us back to scoring a lot of points.
Kentucky's seniors should see increased PT together.

Your boy Briscoe needs to know his role.
Our defense is never going to be great.
Urgency needs to be instilled now. It's time.
