Mark Ennis, ESPN 680: Louisville's offense against the UNC defense will be a bigger mismatch than UNC's offense against Louisville's defense. Especially a Louisville defense hyper-focused after the Virginia Tech outburst. Louisville gets its biggest win of the year in Chapel Hill. Louisville, 80-75

From all accounts he's the hardest worker on the team in practice

Well that's just sad.

I do think he could benefit a lot from coming back. He seems the most lost/young out there. Idk. He's a weird one. Look like Tarzan play like Jane. Sucker needs to get mean.

I had never even heard of that panda chick until last year or whenever she finally messed up.

I usually subscribe to Anth's line of thinking regarding the draft. In fact, I would argue that Dakari is probably the only one during the Cal era to make a truly "poor" decision.

However, if Bam is a borderline first rounder, coming back make sense...weaker draft next year, could play some 4. I think he would play his way into a lotto pick easily.

I don't see him as soft or lazy, the game just hasn't slowed down for him, yet.

Didn't know Anth actually had his own line of thinking when it came to sports.

Noted.

Bam's still raw and is learning to how to play. Also doesn't help when teams pack it in & we force feed him the ball so he can turn around & be surrounded by 3 defenders.

Did like the key rebounds and block he had against Georgia in that slugfest.

-6 months smoke free.

-Little one isn't feeling well, so of course she got in bed with Dad around 1:30am. Had her restlessly tucked under my arm with a slight fever, "stuffies," and coughing all night, so I didn't sleep. Pretty standard, really. Learn Dad.

-I wish Cal did a better job "selling" the option to return. By that, I mean at least talk about all of the benefits to it rather than simply labeling it "their own journey," which has a negative connotation. I mean, it's okay to be in college for more than 1 year, and there isn't a better place to play college basketball in the country. It's okay to remind the public of that. JMO.

-Speedway's selling mulch. :cool2:

-UofL by 5 tomorrow night.

-I like to grill chicken and add it to a homemade Caesar.

I assume what isn't standard is missing one day per week, 52 weeks per year, b/c your kid is 'sick'.

It's standard at my office, however. Maybe the kid has AIDS, idk ---> Drives me INSANE. Where I come from (country club lane), unless you are puking or running a hundo+, you're going to school. And if you miss school, go ahead and forget attending any games, practices, events, friends, etc for the entire week, miraculous recovery be damned.

-Speedway could have FREE mulch, and I wouldn't notice. Worth a 10 mile drive to find a Thornton's instead, although that's never the case around here.

What's KMart got going currently, Brooks?

Really big annoyance of mine as well. He should have really leaned on a few of them to stay, especially Dakari. I mean, maybe he did privately, but it sure seems like he doesn't do it at all.

Dakari is actually doing really well, have to think it's only a matter of time before he gets his call.

Mulch in gas stations is merely a harbinger of spring, Adrian. Besides, I'm a Frank Otte man.

-Obviously I miss my Mom for too many reasons to list, but man, she was clutch with stuff like sick children, last minute babysitting, rides, etc. Dad is doing his best to fill in (and I've been impressed), but he just isn't wired the same and I can tell these "favors" frustrate him, just a little, beneath the surface.

Mom was just automatic, and would likely slip you a $20 to "have a few beers on her" even when going completely out of her way to help.

My Mom watched all of my nieces and nephews. I really regret that my kids never got to meet her. We live a little too far away for her to have watched them every day, but man, she would've gotten a kick out of my little rascals.

I'm pretty sure she still is enjoying watching them from somewhere, but they would've loved her.

The biggest misnomer with college fans that don't follow the NBA... THERE'S NO COACHING IN THE NBA. COACHES JUST MANAGE. THEY ALSO DON'T PLAY DEFENSE ( which is even more asisinine).

False. You're talking about the world's best basketball coaches, trainers, strength coaches, etc, etc without a stupid 20 hour rule so they can work with the players 365 if need be not to mention working with seasoned vets who can help you. Players in The League improve all of the time.

Why do so many people not understand that a player can develop just as much (if not more) in the D League or other professional leagues other than the NBA as they can by staying in college?

I understand that just fine, William. But why do some people not understand that being in the national spotlight at UK, getting a degree, free food, free gear, higher quality poon than the DLeague offers, etc...is infinitely better than the 35K per year you'll be earning riding around in a piece of **** bus playing empty gyms with zero exposure, and no guarantees of making the league.

At least if you don't pan out while getting better in college, you have a degree and a permanent meal ticket in this state. If you wash out of the DLeague your life is likely to be objectively worse than if you attended UK for 4 years.

One of the main issues is you have a better chance of making the leap to The League in the D League than going overseas and making really good coin. Think Lamb was in Italy and France playing before signing with The Knicks D League team.

I get that, but there are some players out there whose families struggle to keep a roof over their heads or 3 meals a day. 35k is a godsend to them. Plus if they are actually drafted, a signing bonus.

- This is GYERO. Nobody here thinks guys need to stay four years. SAE and Chase do have a point- some guys, a few, would be better off staying a year or two longer. Someone staying in college, improving and making a better career for themselves happens all the time. Look at Frank Mason.

- If Mitchell and Deng are hitting, Louisville is as good as anyone. Sorry bout it.

- Of course, the guy who may stay would be joining an already star-laiden frontcourt. smh
