We almost gave that **** away because we let Frazier carve us up repeatedly on that high ball screen. The times we sent an extra guy (Willis) at him *early* to force a pass were extremely successful and I have zero idea why we didn't do it more.

I mean, we did a horrific job keeping the ball out of his hands and making someone else beat us. We just trotted Bam out there to "handle" the switch and 9/10 it led to Frazier running north to the rim with a head full of steam either with a simple pull up or some acrobatic ****. We have to negotiate those screens better and make these guys go horizontal and give it up. Worst hedging team Cal's had by a country mile, IMO.

UGA didn't have the horses to win but we stubbornly dared Frazier to beat us singlehandedly and he almost did it.

Grief.

Meh. I couldn't care less what someone believes if they're good people.

I'm a Christian but am friends with atheists.
I'm a Republican but have Democrat friends.

That being said, Kyrie is full of dumb.

Belief as far as faith goes, no problems at all. Anyone can believe in whatever religion they want. That's much different than purposefully ignoring blatant 100% scientific evidence because "it looks flat and we aren't standing on a curve". Those people can go f*ck themselves. If you are willfully ignore and celebrate it, you can DIAF as far as I'm concerned.

--The officiating contributed to the way we ended up "defending" Frazier. Lots of fouls early in the second half led to some of our guys backing off when he drove later in the game.

But that's okay. He still ended up with 15 FTA, but at least we didn't let him win the game at the line.

--The no-call on Fox getting elbowed in the face near the end the first time the officials went to the monitor ===> [laughing]

That's the kind of play that shows why it's not worth it to overanalyze what these guys do in SEC road games. Just finding a way to overcome all of the ******** that inevitably happens is huge.

False.

The defending in *dealing* with the screen is the issue... Not once he turned the corner. Once he lowered his head past the stupid steep hedge ---> it was OV. Bam was the same guy who was guarding the screener all night and he had the least foul trouble of anyone on the team.

Officiating sucked but it had zero impact on how we schematically decided to handle a slithery lefty with range. It was asinine.

* If Mulder isn't one of Cal's players, who the hell brought him in last year?

* I hate blaming the officials, but man, it just seems like we've been getting hosed a lot this year.

* Loved the hustle and rebounding Willis brought tonight. But he needs to look for his shot more, especially if his man is going to score every other time down the floor. They just go right at him. Every. Single. Time.

* I'm extremely happy with the W. We didn't play our best game, but I love the way we executed down the stretch.

* Wrapped up my division and a cool $125 in my college fantasy league thanks to big games from Jawun Evans at OkSt and my main man Nick Dixon at UT-Rio Grande. Got a chance to win another 4 hundy with 2 more wins.

Suprised not to find any comments about Cal digging at his nut sack mid way through the second half. I thought it was a bad look personnally but was curious to read GYERO's take.

Virginia scored 41 points against North Carolina tonight. A point for each minute, and then one more.

Good. Get pumped. Nobody who is a favorite among sportswriters and coaches is less deserving of their fawning over than Virginia. That style of play needs to drop dead. Highest median PPG and highest number of teams averaging 80+ PPG in a season since 1995 and they've scored 63 in regulation against Virginia Tech, 55 against Duke and 41 tonight. None of these teams have reputations as defensive stalwarts.

-Seeing georgias players and fans lose their effing minds out there is embarrassing. One game a year.

-Every game we play is the other teams one game a year in the SEC. It's awful and it feels like it's gotten worse since Cal has been here. **** this gay conference.

-There really is something to be said for why some of our tournament runs happen after struggling in the SEC. A big part of it is the officiating. It's almost like an entirely different game our guys are having to play out there. The overturn on the Willis foul/travel was an all timer. SEC road games, man.

I think I read these takes on Wednesday, albeit from better posters than you. Way to come strong

Virginia is 2-5 in their last seven games and they're still in the top ten of KenPom.

We are still sitting at #10 overall with the committee IMO. We were 12 but Florida State and Virginia have dropped like a rock since the initial seedlings were announced. Should pass Florida if we beat them to get to #9. Gonna be tough to get into the top 8 unless one of those teams goes on a two game losing streak.

So......still a 3 seed.

Most of the teams ahead of us are in the same conferences. They all can't win their conference tournaments and many of them have games against each other to close out their conference regular seasons. Villanova and Gonzaga are the only teams ahead of us who won't bump into other teams ranked higher than us. We win out and the rest should shake out for us. Now that is not a given obviously, but it puts us in control of our own seed. Just win baby.
