-my daughter had the same reaction to that Perrantes layup that stayed on the rim as Richie.

-Perrantes looks like a north campus brother that is in to some hip hop that you have never heard of.

-RIP the Roof Garden.

-tearing out two walls in the dining room for Valentines Day.

-Bar hopping nostalgia here though. You woke up reeking of smoke and ringing ears.

-Fake Samford ID's were popular for some reason as high school students.

-best summer job here was with the Lou Water Company making sidewalks. Big Clyde drank a 40 at lunch and knew of all kinds of places to just sit and chill.

Yes. That was his last name. Huge dude. He just drove the concrete truck. A guy named Larry from Preston Metered Concrete met us with the concrete. He was a cool black guy that liked to recite poems. He died of cancer.

LWC was full of characters. One guy named Animal and another nicknamed Mule because he supposedly had a huge cawk. Just a bizarre array of blue collar folks.

If there's one thing I miss about construction, it's calling out for nudging things a "CH," and asking about the whereabouts of the "**** tickets." Count your blessings, 80.

Clyde is retired and much bigger today. Had sons that played basketball at Ballard.

The Lou Water Co guys had a pretty good gig then.

-being there in the middle of the laminates being jacked from County clerks offices around the state was amazing. I had 3 IDs with my actual info. First time I got in Bar Louisville, universally assume toughest place to get a fake past, was amazing. Transcendent really. Only a few highs that rival that.

-Always jealous of the younger brothers that got perfect fakes. MCF was 3.5 years behind.

-Security for Brantley was my first gig at 16 on the day. Then worked delivery or install at the shop. Loved those days. We worked crazy hours but good money for 17 year olds. Worked with 2-3 HS buddies that came on for the summer. Those were some fun summers.

-spent the night at UK with G and some respiratory virus. Poor little guy. He's fine today but was miserable last night. Those beds... christ. Awful. Will say the staff was amazing. Very helpful and nice.

-Mary Jane.. first bed dance at Vu. Oaks night 99. [smoke]

A lost art, really. Still keep score up at GABP, but as a kid, always looked forward to scoring the Monday Night Baseball game on ABC with Michaels and Jackson calling the action.

If at all possible I still score the first Reds game of the season (along with random games throughout the year). Can't imagine ever not enjoying it.

Great things happen when you don't play to win(melt the clock).........as we've found out the hard way.

For a guy who's been around forever and is generally considered to be a good coach, Bob Huggins is an awful coach.

Up 14 with 2:45 left. Mercy.

Maybe I'm too hard on my guys. For all their faults I don't think they could blow that one.

Tuesday Shorts:

- Once again, never much cared for milk stouts before, but I love that Braxton Graeters beer, especially out of the tap.

- My favorite $40ish bourbon- Basil Hayden.

- Haven't watched, but can't imagine The 6 is anything but a disaster. I like Smith a lot actually, but Jemele Hill is awful in every capacity.

- Eric Church in Cleveland in two weeks. Maybe I'll finally see some snow.

- Now, is when we have to start making our move. Time for progress. It all starts with Fox and Briscoe, too. Get a 2-seed and let's party.

- Anyone been to Che the Argentinian place in OTR? We swung in but couldn't find a spot at the bar. Best atmosphere in OTR, though. Loved the feel.

- Starting to look at some houses. The lass really wants to live in east Newport. I think Bellevue may be more our speed.

So you'll be living in East Newport, then. Cool, and good luck with the search.

I don't like most Stouts in general, just too thick/heavy...

...but Left Hand's Milk Nitro is :fire:, much easier to drink.

I didn't watch the KU game so how in the hell can you lose a game up 14 with 3 minutes left? Don't tell me slow it down and take the air out of the ball because a whole lot of dumb has to happen then just running clock.

Kansas pressed them like hell and they reacted the same way teams do against their own...

Either that or they were shaving points.

Sportscenter isn't NOW.

That said, it's still on my work TV right now, as it is every morning...and will be until I see the same highlight/segment for the 4th time and remember to change the channel to FoxNews or Golf Channel.

It's annoying in it's 'new' (er) form for certain, but still serves a purpose if you like sportsball.

-Baylor now 2-3 in last 5 with KU Sat, WVU still left and @ ISU and B12 tourney.

-Most of these top 10 teams still have to beat up on each other. Win this week and a 2 is within reach.

-Sportscenter is awful but no other channel has anything even close to it unfortunately.

-Should see a healthy dose of zone tonight. Hopefully the O starts to creep back in a bit. Half court sets we have to get Briscoe the ball to wreak havoc. If they zone, lets not wait 3-4 minutes to put in the 2nd shooter, k? John? You listening? No -> Gabriel, Humphries, Hawkins, Monk, Briscoe if they're zoning us because they're going to.

I just don't understand why His and Her's are getting the push to the moon. I mean the PUSH TO THE MOON. I just don't find them interesting at all.

My favorite $40ish bourbon- Basil Hayden.

yessir. Maybe my favorite everyday bourbon. Not that I drink everyday.

As some of you all know my Dad retired from Beam last year but they will announce in the next month that the first 2017 Batch of Booker's will be named after his. It will be called Tommy's Batch. I'm not sure that it will carry the current Booker's price or the new proposed price of $100/bottle.

KU is my favorite to win. Easily. Mason/Graham are too good. Yeah, they've had their issues over the year but this just seems like a Kimba moment coming for them. So KU will now have 9 titles, surpassing Duke, UK and UNC all in one year and we'll just have to deal with it.

^ have said that since Day 1. But the best/favorite team still has a very low chance of winning the entire thing this year.

Bracketballs ----> so is NYC for the Regional really the most likely destination at this point?

Was dead set on not spending money on this team, but that would be tough to pass up -- + low risk if we lose, b/c it's somewhere I'd love to be & enjoy regardless.

Cities that can withstand hotel/flight gouging certainly make things easier for the poor (and unprepared) last-minute planning fan. Regional wouldn't even be a blip on their radar, obviously.

I can't remember the last time I watched SportsCenter outside of it being on in the background at the gym. And only before I switch it to something better.

Then again I'm an old.

If we can play and beat Florida two more times I think we can still make Memphis. If we split with Florida, then it is more of a coin toss. We can't lose to anyone else though and we have to beat them in Rupp. This is largely based upon the committee guy's explanation of how the conference affiliation played a role in the top four seed lines. If what he said holds, I don't see how the top SEC team does not get placed in the south. There's so many Pac-12 and ACC teams to shift around it will be nearly impossible to ship all the SEC teams out of the south.
