- I love living with my fiancé and all but could do without having to hear about her day at work- ie bitching about people I don't know, and completely botching how I'm supposed to react every single time so she gets pissed at me. I don't think I have ever complained to anyone about a bad work day.

This will only grow in frequency and fervor once you are married. I speak from a position of knowledge. Just agree that the coworkers are idiots and hope the subject changes quickly.

I'll never understand how women manage to let such inane things "ruin" their day.

Case in point, ordering curtains online and the store mistakenly sends you a pair of shoes you didn't order instead. My solution of call the number on the receipt and tell them what happened didn't make any sense because "this is something that has to be handled in person at the store because she doesn't want the shoes" o_O.

Said curtains are for a nursery for a child that won't be here for 4 and 1/2 months.

Tell you what, since the wife got the new gig she's been as happy as she's been in a long time.

Go utilities!

Flip it.

Her: How was work today?
Me: Fine
Her: Anything interesting happen?
Me: Nope
Her: Your coworkers didn't irritate you?
Me: No.

All the while she is more then likely getting irritated by my lack of work gossip which will manifest itself later that evening or next week or 2 months later like a dormant volcano vying its time.

YOU NEVER TELL ME ANYTHING GOING ON WITH YOU!

-ohhhh so we're back to being losers for going to games and the SECT. Gotcha. Have fun on your couches and little league games while we go to the games for the team we're all extreme fanatics of.

-great thing about sloot is she rarely pulls typical hussy sentimental bs. Bad thing is she always times it for the last 5 minutes of the rare movie or show I watch.

-If we can make something happen WCC let's do it. Just hard to get sitter any more than we already have.

-I'd be all for not starting a couple guys. Monk and Bam would be a nice start. We can hate on Capel and Duke but he certainly put the whites *** on the bench for the same reason. So frustrating that we have fallen off after being so much fun to watch.

-Hit Mr. Lee's in Germantown a few Saturdays ago. Inherently skeptical of the whole "speak easy" genre, that place is cool. Very well done inside and a nice vibe. Beer list leaves a bit to be desired, but other than that, it's worth checking out with a small group or for a date.

I mean, the place would absolutely enrage Richie FWIW.

?

False. I'm good friends with the one of the owners and think it's a really cool space.

Night Shift:

- Getting a foot of snow tomorrow after an ice storm last night. Wonderful little punishment after Kauai.

- Had a legit farm/farmers market to table, organic, under a tent in a field super foodie meal in Kauai. I impressed myself by finishing all 5 courses; I'm sure bbdk and the other foodies here would have had to take a break before dessert to wek it.

- Managed to learn how to surf (and moderately successful, I might add) without killing myself.

- However, waves on the north side of island were 18-20ft a few days, 22 yo girl did die swimming a mile down coast from us. Really strange seeing Coast Guard choppers patrolling non-stop for a few days over the bay.

- Hanalei Bay, check out some pics. Stayed right on it at St. Regis. :sunglasses:

- This whole Babymoon phenomenon...I mean I knew it existed. But legit >50% of our hotel was pregnant. WTF? o_O

Although a couple of them were instagram models/famous, so still absolute smoke.

- Great book I finally got around to reading on the trip: House of God. Basically the Catch-22 of medical residency. Absolutely hilarious especially for anyone in medical field, even more so for residents/interns. But funny nonetheless for anyone else. Super easy read and lots of sex, too. So [thumb2].

Highly recommend for anyone looking for a quick, light read.

On the subject of vacations...

I honestly still don't understand how people have all of this time and money for exotic getaways. I mean, I do okay for myself and only have 1 child. However, we pretty much just stick to our summer beach vacation and long weekend excursions in the absence of both.

Some of these motherf**kers are out here just pond skipping over to Hawaii, or scooching on down to the Caribbean with the kids (and another fun family!) for the mid-Winter break, parent teacher conferences, etc. Plush lodging. Chartered fishing boats. Romantic dinners. It's amazing to me.

I need to figure it out, honestly. Sounds dope.

He was talking **** to Dolan. They told him to stop. He failed to stop. They asked him to leave. He declined to do so. They threw him out.

@SAE, I know that wasn't directly at me, but...

DINK no kids at the moment, and only 3 weeks of vacation a year. Don't really have a lot of time to spend money elsewhere.

Oh, and credit card games FTW. No one in our group paid for flight or hotel.

SAE's wife apparently hasn't found the correct pyramid scheme yet.
An old friend's wife is some "high up" (YMMV) schemer. The worst was when she went live on Facebook to broadcast (and play up) buying him a new truck.

Playing the role of a breadwinner-cuck* to a P-Schemin' wife has to be terrible. "My dipshit husband couldn't pay off my Sociology student loans by busting his *** and still pay for all the stuff I need as a stay at home mom, so I had to do it myself! - Yup, that's right, hon'. Huh-Hyuck!"

It's easily the most depressing autoplay video I've ever had pop into my feed, and I've greeted by multiple murders during my "wake-up scroll" at this point. Man.

*PMT overuse joke - not Alt-Right, you guys.
