Vern's combined take that Jemele Hill was dope along with how we had turned some kind of corner after grinding out that huge UGA win at home, may end up on the Mt Rushmore of bad GYERO takes. Mercy.

Like the Washington Post during Watergate, I stand by my statements. The turning point is just a longer turn than originally thought. But I stand by them. I don't erase my posts after the fact like some *****.

As you all know, I had the good fortune of renting a tuxedo in Metairie, LA last week.

I was addressed as "Mr. Joey," the entire time and found it very off-putting.

(The groom introduced me as "Joey" and it stuck - I do not introduce myself as "Joey" in normal adult settings.)

Justin Gilbert was released today by the Steelers. He went 8th to the Browns in the 2014 Draft. It was the same year they took Manziel. I took a look at that first round. They could have had OBJ and Derek Carr with those picks. Geez.

You would think a coach at Baylor would think hiring prostitutes is maybe a bad call while newly employed during a major sexual assault investigation. You would think...

Just goes to show how dumb these meat heads are while running massive programs.

Nick's doing a great job of eliminating all the attractive girls left on the Bachelor.

Pretty sure Vanessa is gonna win by default

* I've been in the woods running all around Huntsville, TX this weekend. Totally missed the Florida game. How'd it go? Did we win??

* Joey --> that's a Louisiana thing. Folks refer to their elders as "mister/miss" + their first name. It's whatevs, imo.

* The thing about Tom Brady being the GOAT = he's missed long stretches a few times, and the team doesn't really skip a beat without him in the lineup. There's no more challenging position in sports to analyze, imo. For example, was Joe Montana a "system qb" who benefitted from the greatest offensive innovator of all-time at head coach, plus the best wide receiver in NFL history, or was he really THAT good?? I have no idea. What if Peyton Manning and Tom Brady switched franchises 15 years ago?? Again, no clue.

But if you go just by accomplishments, Brady is it. I mean, 5 freaking Super Bowls, and basically the team to beat every single year for 15+ years.....crazy.

* Well, this is certainly a first. Waxed a chick last weekend that confessed she's currently seeing a therapist.......for sex addiction. The upside is I've got carte blanche to carry out any manner of nefarious activities. The downside is, I'm basically giving a drug addict a pile of cocaine. Tough call here.

* Kentucky - LSU tonight. The locals are jacked about this one. [eyeroll]

* Where does BBdK rank Louisville right now, right this very second, not overall on the season, not including last week or predicting the coming week, but like right very now? Still #1?

* Think I got talked into doing this...

Kentucky has so much natural beauty. I've hike a big section of this course many times. This is ukalum/kgars neck of the woods, iirc. Incredibly challenging race, right here in yalls own back yard.

College Basketball Thoughts:

- I'm really big on the West Coast this year. I've loved Oregon all year. Athletes everywhere. Good tournament experience from last year. Altman is underrated. The more I watch and think about Gonzaga, the more I'm convinced they're as good as anyone. I sure as hell wouldn't want to have to worry about the big Polish dude and all those perimeter weapons. I also like Arizona and UCLA quite a bit.

- I still like Louisville as a F4 team.

- It continues to amaze me how much sportswriters suck off Self. They'll laud his Big 12 streak and the fact he's only been lower than a 2-seed once in 10 years (a 3-seed in '09) but never mention the fact he only has two F4s to show for those efforts, not to mention all the embarrassing losses.

- Fact is- we probably weren't going to be able to win it all running and gunning. Eventually, we were going to have to learn halfcourt ball. I just hope we figure it out.

Also this team needed some adversity.

First rule of NCAA Tournament breakdown: Avoid West Coast teams.

Year round sports suck. Starting to run into this big time with 05. The spring soccer season just doesn't mix with baseball season. Sucks. He doesn't want to play football. And there really isn't a fall only soccer team out there until you get to HS (though that may switch to Spring or year round I've heard). Ugh. He likes playing both, and shouldn't have to choose. Not at 11. The more youth sports I watch (especially after taking over our league), the more I think it's best to just let kids develop as they develop. I've made mistakes, no question. But you can't teach a 90 mph fastball. You can't teach 400 ft. power to all fields. You can't teach a 36" vertical. You can't teach 6'6". Etc. You can teach technique and teach kids the game...but an athlete is going to be an athlete regardless of what you do. I've done very little with our youngest....and he's ahead of the other 2 at the same age. Mainly he just follows his brothers around, and goofs off with the other little kids while the game is going on. Imagine that.

Cats going to put the smack down on LSU. TS. 25 point victory.

Regarding Trump...best thing to do is take a wait and see approach. Give the guy a chance. Change always brings chaos, and the losing side is always the side most resistant to the change. I hope it works out for the best. We don't want our Presidents to fail.

Give me Sunny and 40 all day vs this 65 and rainy crap in February. This weekend was perfect.

Spring will be here shortly though. Can't wait!

How is this even possible?

Clay [County]'s residents filled prescriptions for 2.2 million doses of hydrocodone and about 617,000 doses of oxycodone in the 12-month period ending last September—that’s about 150 doses for every man, woman, and child.

We need to build a massive wall around Clay County to keep them from sending all of these drug dealers, rapists, etc.

UKO -- thoughts?

We're basically 65000allin on year-round soccer with basketball mixed in in the winter. Not sure what I think about it. Baseball is a no-go because our league is on Chevy Chase mom time, and football ain't happening, either. Luckily the kids enjoy it, and we enjoy watching them play, but it takes up a LOT of time.

He's never played basketball before...but wanted to play this winter. So he tried out for the school team, and now he thinks it's the greatest sport on earth. Finally got a goal for the driveway, and he's out there 30 minutes a day or more shooting. Just think it's funny. Kids are going to do what they are going to do. He's a rebounding and defensive machine. Doesn't shoot well, but that's to be expected given his lack of experience. And now he WANTS to go to UK games and watch on tv all the time...which he never did before. Opened my eyes a lot. Kids develop at different rates...and find the things they want to do.

Soccer, basketball, sweet sweet blessed break, soccer, swimming, repeat.

Coached both kids in basketball this season and that was frustrating as hell. I *get* Cal yelling GOOOOOOOOO the whole game.

My athletic goal for my kids is "don't embarrass yourself when you play pickup games or IMs in college".
