That was as embarrassing of a loss under Cal as I can remember.
Almost as embarrassing as your take on Briscoe.
Going to be great when Cal's 30:30 primo hits talking about waxing other teams. Get em John.
2010, 2012 and 2015 were just different teams altogether and had several things in common....

This year we don't have any of that, our upperclassmen are Briscoe and Willis and guys are playing out of postion all over the court.

Cal's D is so predicated on having help defenders to guard the rim...
Guys like Fox look like **** when nobody is there to help, but do you really think Drew and others were THAT much better at containing "straight line drives", etc as compared to Fox? We welcomed those same drives...our D was based on that.
...people like Richie would blast WCS, but a guy like him makes a difference than can't even be quantified in the box score -- many blocks, but much more mental and altered shots.
We had a 4 year stretch of those types of dudes.
Guess we will get back to that next year, but who knows.
Marcus Lee,....as much as he pissed us off, would have helped THIS team immensely. :100points: He would have been a poor man's Amille Jefferson, but even that would be huge on this team imo.
Bam is disappointing to me. He's a beast dunking the ball, but thats pretty much it. There is a reason he's free falling on draft boards. The Pat Young comps pissed Chad off, but I kinda get it. He's better, for sure -- but he doesn't really show it all that much, imo. Dunk or bust with that dude. (right now)

I have to vent and don't know where to start...
I mean, WTF has happened? How can Bam not rebound? How can Briscoe go from auto in the paint to like 20%? How can the most athletic team in the country get beat down the court over and over? Early in the season we had a fluid motion offense unlike any I had seen under Cal and now we look like my 10 year old girl's bball squad making turnovers before we even get shots up.
Cal didn't forget how to coach...but it's a fair question to ask if he forgot that he needed to stay hungry. You can make all the podcasts you want when you are winning...but it's time to stop chopping it up with Big Ben and figure out why the best offensive team in the last 20 years has gone down the *******.

I've done some PI work like my boy Chase and with that I've learned a little about back injuries, real and...sort of real. I'm not sure what kind of "surgery" you get on your back that allows you to jump around a month later like Coach K.

I wish I could be optimistic but I can't think of a single time where one if Cal's teams looked like **** in January and February and then won big games in the NCAA Tournament.
Hateable team. 1 title. Ucla had 3 straight final 4s, who cares? Nobody. Cal era will absolutely go down as an absolute waste. Hope diallo goes pro and we lose 10 more next season. Cal better hope for more player heroics to keep BBN from pushing him out.

This team just has too many flaws. When you get whipped on the boards, don't play defense, and shoot like **** you're gonna get handled pretty bad.
As mentioned Bam needs to finish better absolutely but still my main gripe with him is get on the glass more big fella. 6 rebs/gm for that hulk is pathetic.
