It was good meeting your mom and pops, Richie.

Best part was when I was beside your mom and she was trying to order a beer, the bartender asked if she was closing out, her response, "Heavens No"! Emphatic.

I remember getting ultra redass in 93 in that late season game at Knoxville. UT was at the foul line late and missed but Corey Allen pushed Martinez in the back, iirc, and got the putback And 1 to seal the win. I damn near lost it.

It was cool though. We annihilated them a few weeks later in SEC tourney at Rupp 101-40 when Svoboda outscored Allen Houston 3-2. That was satisfying.

Allan Houston missed his ft attempt on purpose, left the ft line as soon as the ball left his hand(illegal), got the rebound and the putback. And, yes, we crushed them in the tourny. Was a joy to watch.

That 92-93 team was a blast to see in person. Was my freshman year at UK and went to every game in the ncaa's that year. Basically stole tickets to the Final Four at the ticket lottery. Best seats in the house, first row upper deck, right at half court. As much as Brown going down hurt us, Travis just had no shot, on either end of the floor, against Rose.

Happy 58th birthday to the hottest doctor in Jasper, Missouri.

The Murray brothers just called her husband to tell him about this picture.

Blew our load against Florida St in the Elite 8. Looked lethargic and tight. Ford had no shot at checking Jalen Rose. None.

Brown goes down... Game over.

But it wasn't over. They clawed and scratched their way to OT. It was over when Mash fouled out.

Corey Allen had the putback, not Houston. Remember it vividly.

Speaking of the 93 squad, how incredible was early season Rod Rhodes? Those performances against Ga Tech and UL were electric. If he had been 75% of that for the remainder of the year, we would have walked to the title.

Rhodes and Mash TORCHED Louisville in Freedom Hall during Rhodes' frost Year beating them by 20. Cliff Rozier was talking all kinds of noise early on in that one.

Dicky V going bonkers... RHODES IS THE PRINCE AND MASH IS THE KING!

I agree Killa, but they had George Lynch, Donald Williams, Reese, Phelps, etc. We would have beat them but they were solid. First of 2 instances where Duke and UNC went back to back with titles.

Out of all the talented Tar Heel squads over the years, it's still hard to believe that was one of their title teams.

-Saturday at the Hyatt around 3-4p, when the place is just getting really crowded, this dude just falls off his stool and is laying there completely out of it. Eyes rolled back in his head. Body completely limp. People huddled around him. Paramedics on the way. I mean he was just out. The finally bring him to, get him up, on the bar stool, hand him a drink and are talking to him. You can tell his buddies are not interested in leaving the bar so they're like... "you're ok, man." The dude is clearly not ok but the paramedics come and check him out, he refuses treatment and pushes on. Hopefully he went to the hospital but I'm assuming he sat there drinking and went to the game.

And to think, Rick assembled that team without the help of whores.
I like to imagine it's just been whores all the way down. Whores at Hawaii. Providence. Kentucky. Louisville. That horny motherf*cker hired whores for the knicks. He hired whores for the celtics. He gets whores for wedding presents. Have a baby? That's great. Congratulations i have a hired a nasty rotten ***** to come over and suck you off buddy. The man loves offering whores to anybody and everybody. He's got whores on the damn brain

I'm going to assume UK isnt utilizing prostitutes for athletic recruiting until we begin seeing ladies of the night wearing blue/white checkerboard hooker clothes.

My favorite games of the 90's that didn't involve UK was the Arkansas-Alabama SEC Semifinal in '92. Sprewell, Hollywood Robinson, Horry, Caffey on Alabama and Day, Mayberry, Miller, and Roosevelt Wallace on Arkansas. Happened 2 weeks before the UK-Duke game, so it was largely forgotten. Game was a complete war played at such a high level, and Alabama had nothing left in the tank for UK in the title game the next day.

whores all the way down.

New Sturgill song?

Hey, I mean right now the precedent's been set might was well tell these recruits "listen, don't go to class, just party with these whores if you want" and see what happens.

Tuesday Randos:

-Was trashing Tatum last night, then he goes off. That guy is REALLY good when he's in attack mode...extremely long and a great finisher. If he quits trying to be mid 30's Kobe shooting leg-kick jumpers all the time, he's a serious weapon...also rebounds well.

That said, Notre Dame was miserable shooting the ball, Vasturia was as bad as I've seen him. Here comes the DUKE IS BACK!!!! narrative. (until UNC smokes them)

-Always thought Mark Fox was an underrated coach and one of those "probably will never do much better" fits for UGA, but having my doubts. If/when he has a nice team on paper, he routinely underachieves -- and is doing so again this year. Not unlike Stallings in that regard, really.

*****All BBdK squads (fav players non kates)*****

Black:

Lonzo Ball - UCLA
Naz Long - Iowa St
Esa Ahmad - WVU
Mikael Bridges - Nova
Kelan Martin - Butler

White:

Luke Kennard - Duke
Donte Divincezo - Nova
Nathan Adrian - WVU
Steve Vasturia - Notre Dame
Kyle Guy - UVA

Speaking of Divincenzo, my boy Gus Johnson with another great call on their buzzer beater Sunday. It's uncanny how great finishes follow that guy around, and he always delivers when they do.

DONTE DIVINCENZO!!!!!!!! THE BIG RAGU!! [laughing]:fire:

-Recs for a good 'front' wallet/clip combo? Keep seeing that sponsored 'Ridge' or whatever on Facebook, but I assume like most things you see on there it's probably garbage and overpriced compared to other options. Will be mainly for travel, but may warm up to it full time. Just dunno if they will hold the amount of cards I like to carry, along with insurance, ID, biz cards, and other stuff.

-Despite my poking, I make an effort to listen to pretty much every 'Americana' and country rec the usual suspects throw around and slobber over -- I like most of it with one major exception ----> Jason Isbell, who seems to be maybe the consensus favorite for most of you. Man, I just cannot get over his voice -- literally hate it. Have tried listening to his latest album multiple times just in case, but can't do it. Just a depressing and whiny vibe he puts out. Different strokes, and those types of things.

...and while Sturgill's mumbling bugs me, his album has really grown on me. Love the overall sound. Feel like 'Sea Stories' will be one of those songs you'll hear in Nashville on Broadway regularly in years to come.

-Always thought Richie's 'Hen' was something he kinda made up, or heard somewhere and ran with, but it's apparently regular verbiage across the pond. The lassies use it regularly on the TA forums when asking about 'girls trips', etc. Where is the best place to stay for our Hen Weekend? Thoughts on ___ hotel for weekend Hen Holiday? Etc. Cracks me up.

-We never leave Costo without restocking this:

...my go-to not horribly unhealthy snack. #worship

-Can't think of much else, but feeling pretty good today -- around 70%, which feels like :100points: for me in 2017. Things finally looking up, I think.

#early

I have a front clip/wallet thing. It's great if you don't carry a lot of cash. Much more over 5 bills and the magnet isn't strong enough to keep the money in place.

I gotta have Happ and Leaf on my all honk squad this year. I'll keep Kennard and Vasturia and think I'll add Riley LaChance. He's my new Chuck Eidson.

^ maybe if he (LaChance) hadn't sucked since he was a freshman, Vern. (which is fine with me)

I hate that dude. My list is of my favorite players to watch, not the best. When I'm watching LaChance, he's usually torching Kentucky. No thanks.

I used to carry a clip but I just don't see how I could now. Got like a million cards, insurance, license, stack of business cards, zamily pass, gift cards. Plus I like my wallet. Father's Day gift from a few years ago.

Speaking of zamily, new zbb track drops Friday. Early birthday gift for dad. So pumped.

Speaking of my birthday, thinking about doing a surprise weekend in Gatlinburg. Boys absolutely worship that place. They've all been sick lately and kind of been in a funk. Can't think of a better way of turning the big 1-9 and bonding with my big strong wild sons.

Speaking of being sick I've been starving myself so I don't puke a bunch of stuff. Absolutely hate puking. Irrational because it's really not a big deal but for some reason I'm terrified of doing it. Knock on wood but I haven't puked since April 2011. Down 9lbs so far. Apparently just starving yourself helps you lose lbs quick.

Speaking of April 2011 kemba walker

I had my wife buy me a Cuoieria Fiorentina front pocket wallet a couple of years ago after watching this video. Not my favorite type of leather, but it is easily the best wallet I've ever owned. $45 with Prime shipping on Amazon.
