Monk is inbetween slashing and firing. He'll figure it out.

Fox is in a funk. He's a freshman- it happens.

Bam has shown flashes of being great and is already pretty good.

Gabriel has shown flashes.

I don't know- maybe have some faith that Cal will get it all together.

This kind of **** is why I get after you.

Why? What about the last 5-6 games makes you think otherwise? The SEC tournament in both 2013 and 2014 is what made both of those teams. 2013 **** the bed and 2014 had a decent run. They were pretty much on the same trajectory until then. I'm just dont' know what to think.

In case you forgot, you stupid F, the 2013 team lost Nerlens Noel AND had Ryan Harrow as starting PG.

I take back my apology, you really are a stupid *****.

We are young, do you know how hard it is to take a bunch of freshman and turn them into a great team? Pooping ice cream, let the cake bake......

This is what we are in for year after year. Hopefully Cal gets them playing in top form come March. Not unheard of I guess (2011) but it can be frustrating at times

We **** the bed on D. At about the 15 minute mark of the second half, Kansas ran the same ******* play 3 times in a row. Simple pick at the top of the key and we switched each time. Left Willis guarding mason or fox guarding Jackson. Kansas scored on all 3 plays- ******* simple screen. Thats the same reason bam doesn't get more rebounds and why briscoes lard *** gets so many. We are constantly out of position on defense

Everyone wants to say how this team sucks on defense, and they do, but its very clear that this team cant score in the halfcourt. Unless we are running and dunking, the offense is pathetic. Its either Monk jack a shot or force feed bam or Fox or Briscoe go 1 on 1. We dont run an offense. AT ALL. That is why the ceiling for this team is Elite 8. When they get into a grind it out type of game vs a smart, efficient team, they will fold like cheap tent. A team like Virginia may beat us by 20 points.

This has always been the case with Cal. Other than when he had the number 1 and 2 players in the draft on his team and arguably the most dominant college player since Bill Walton, Cals teams struggle to get buckets when they need them. 3 staight shot clock violations rings a bell.

This team is AAU. Its an all-star game. Zero defense and out of control running up and down the floor on offense.

'Ceiling' assertions are stupid if you've watched the NCAA Tournament the last 10 years, or really ever. What was our ceiling in 2014 when we were flirting with the damn BUBBLE...then suddenly were in the driver's seat to win the whole damn thing on the last Monday of the season?

Otherwise, I don't disagree with the post.

Man, this loss sucked. This team has some deficiencies. We aren't as good as I thought early in the year. We definitely need to figure out how to get stops in crunch time.

That said, some of you need to keep perspective on things. I mean, we are going though a golden age right now...some of you sound like the jackasses saying Pitino couldn't win the big one in the 90's then became the same ******** saying Tubby won with Rick's players and wishing for him back. Freshman dominated teams isn't easy, Duke is figuring that out.

File your complaints in a smart way, GYERO.

They aren't and we've won 1 since Clinton, so let's keep the term "golden age" in perspective.

It's been fun, but Cal was a desperate hire. I just happen to believe he's served his purpose and it's time to move on. Don't hate him or anything, it just is what it is. Whatever.

You're a fu(king idiot. The guys had the best run of any coach since he got here. I'm pissed also, but to say it's time he move on, is fu(king retarded, even for you

The Cal years have been fun but it's like playing a video game without a memory card, you get a little farther at times but you never get to save your progress. Also, I'm getting a little nervous about Louisville

When closing games you simply can't turn the fricking ball over. Versus Tennessee, we slip and fall with the ball in our hands. Fox just flips it to them....
Tonight, we just throw it away and give them easy baskets. Making a run tonight, get a steal and Briscoe overshoots Monk. Turnovers are on the uptick and that has transpired with our struggles in the half court. Quick contested shots by Monk when you need a basket...
Drive the fricking ball and get to the line...
Teams have choked off our transition game. They have done it with tempo and not taking crazy shots that are turned into long outlet passes.
So what is our next move? That is for Cal to fix.
On defense, despite what the analytics will say, this is not a good defensive team. Some zone from time to time wouldn't hurt, but Cal doesn't do it. Gave up too many second chance opportunities in the second half.
When we are rolling the offense is cruising and players are locked in on defense. When the offense struggles, the defense follows suit. Youngin's are letting their struggles on offense carry over to defense.
Plenty of time to right the ship, but a one seed is probably toast. Playing for the two and hopefully a decent locale.
