* Was listening to that "T'd up" podcast with Titus and the other guy. The other guy, Tate something, is a UNC fan. He was talking about how UCLA had no concept of time/score/situation down the stretch vs. Arizona, but that "they'll figure it out in the Tournament."

Umm, no they won't. That's exactly why they aren't making a run. They'll inevitably be involved in a tight game in the Sweet 16 and Bryce Alford will brick a 30 footer with 27 seconds left on the shot clock, leading to a runout for the other team.

* As much as I didn't like the spot we were in for the UofL and UT games, I like how we're set up for tomorrow night. Coming off a loss (they are too, but whatever), a super-jacked Rupp, revenge from last year, etc. I think we roll.

* Curious to see how the ****** SEC officiating affects our guys -- and whatever other SEC teams make it -- in the Tournament. By that time, they'll have played ~20 games getting fouls called for breathing on somebody. May take some adjusting in March.

* Got roped into going to New Orleans for the Billy Joel ([sick]) concert in a couple of weeks. If I'm going to spend $2,000 to go down there for a concert, there are literally 9 trillion other musical acts I'd rather see than Billy Joel. I can't think of one song he sings that I like. In March, for example, Dwight Yoakam is in B'ham. It'll cost 10% as much, and be infinitely more enjoyable. Bitches, man.

Wonder who is officiating tmw night. Honestly don't mind Shows. He's solid and he and Cal seem to get along fine.

TV Teddy is ridiculous but his antics tend to favor the home team.

We didn't start the fire, Woodford.

It is an awful song, but if you learn a handful of the lyrics you will rule a Billy Joel concert like Piggy in Lord of the Flies.

I could do without seeing Roger Ayers, Jamie Luckie and Doug Sirmons ever again. Sirmons has really climbed up the rankings in the last 3-4 years. Definitely the most egregious offending party in last season's game at Kansas, so much so that Cal carried the grudge into South Carolina.

I didn't touch on it because the team played like c-suckers on Tuesday but the Ayers stuff is truly incredible. Cal in 8 years has one more win in games officiated by Roger Ayers than Billy Gillispie had in 2. Billy Clyde went 5-2 with Ayers out there! Cal's 6-9.

That's pretty damning. Anything that makes Gillispie seem reasonably competent and Cal a dumpster fire is pretty much per se horseshit.

I wouldn't go see Billy Joel in Lexington but there's never a bad excuse for a trip to NOLA. Stop complaining.

* I saw Billy Joel and Elton John the last year I lived in Lexington (2003). The sales were so poor that they literally gave away tickets. My buddy/frat bro who worked at the ticket office....

him = hey, you wanna come to this show tomorrow night?
me = yeah, sure.
him = how many tickets you want?
me = uhhh.......(**joking**)....how about.....TEN?!
him = okay, come by rupp this afternoon.

Very strange. And it was still pretty empty.

I have no idea other than home court advantage how people can think this about the game tomorrow night. I mean Im pumped for a great game, but Id be lying if I were to say Im not extremely worried. Kansas is exactly the type of team to give us fits, 3 guards that will drive it straight at our defense to the rim and several guys that can knock down 3s. Hell, Mason is shooting 53% from 3 on the season and they shoot 42% as a team on the year. Just a bad matchup if youre being honest. I dont care if they dont have **** in the paint. UT has significantly less than Kansas and they crushed us in the paint.

Wont be surprised with an L unless we somehow magically transform into a defensive team that is great against the bounce by tomorrow.

Josh Jackson is a nightmare matchup for this team. Look at what Justin Jackson did, and he's pretty much all finesse, and not a playmaker.

Joshie facilities their offense a lot of the time, kinda plays a Lebron role on that team. Can also play down low if needed, which he will be.

Just have no clue who in the hell is going to guard him (or attempt to) -- dude is really good, and allows Mason/Graham/Svi/Vick to just post up on the peremeter, all of which are knockdown shooters.

We aren't going to "roll" ****, imo -- will be thrilled with a 1 pt buzzer beater victory.

Hopefully we get back to relentless drives, while establishing Bam early. Get Lucas and/or Jackson in foul trouble and they will have zero answer. We resort to this jumpshooting BS and we'll get smoked.

In my 8th grade history class we split up into groups of 4 and had to re-write the lyrics to "We didn't start the fire" to correlate with current events that were happening. Meaning I had to listen to the song about 10 times so that we could write our version, and then had to listen to it about 15 more times during class while every other group gave their version.

Billy Joel can DIAF and S a D. I literally want to vomit when I hear that song.

We have no one that can guard a tall atheltic 3, AKA Josh Jackson. Its the reason Justin Jackson went off and that's the one thing I'm worried about. Briscoe gives up like 5 inches to him and I'm assuming that's who we're going to have guard him. Don't know if Wenyen can stay with him and Willis can't defend a broom.
