-Good to see attending a game at Rupp is cool again. Shew, after 2 years of taking jabs because we actually go to the games at Rupp. Now just living up to Richies standards. I'm not sure the home fans deserve all this extry pressure.

-GFY, doublea-hole. You waste $$ on ingrown *** hair and I spend mine on nice hotel rooms. Dump and NYC small rooms. :joy: Ok, we just know you were miserable. Place is nice, I like Cincinnatian as well. I always grab a drink and head out to the couches in the lounge area at the bar. Rooms are nice size, big bathrooms, great beds. Oh well. Trust me. They're not upset without your approval, you're not really their audience, I was actually worried you'd mention my name while you checked in. Close call ifyouknowwhatimsaying

-Drove to Carmel, IN and back today. That state sucks balls other than about 5 blocks in dtown Indy. Just awful.

-LOL at UL. I didn't catch all of it b/c I've been all over the place but sounds pretty great.

-Also sounds like we're in full MCF hater mode around here. "Cal can't coach":joy:, "go coach the knicks" [jumpingsmile], "he's sitting Diallo to play his stud recruits"(you realize how dumb you sound when you say this one?)[roll]

-No dominate teams and we have as good a shot as anyone out there. We're going to drop a few more. Just keep progressing.

-anyone in lex looking for a solid workout Friday or Sat. My trainer is host www.sweat4surgeries.com a 24 hour training marathon. Go check it out for an hour and get a good work out in. Cool cause and he's a badass trainer.

-Tiger is done, hasn't played a PGA tour event in 2 years and he's shooting 6 over or whatever. Why you not shoot 59, Big Cat?

In other words, several of you, mostly Rob and BBdk and UKO and PTI and other poster that aren't important enough for me to remember your name... GET PUMPS.

Man... How about those Huggy Bear Cincy teams in the 90's? Gracious.
Art Long.

But I was always a big Nick Van Exel fan. And I still think what Kenyon Martin did against DePaul is one of the best individual performances I've ever seen. Brought them back from 10 down with 3 to go, pretty much by himself.

Umm no, they have small rooms, a ****** lobby, cramped bar, and a just an overall dark/damp feel.

Luxury King Rooms are 227-320 sq ft, listed clearly on their website. That's small. A Studio SUITE is only 392 sq ft, which is also extremely small for a suite & that price tag...(smaller than a standard room at Westin, for example) But hey, you can stay/park there for just under $400 this Saturday. EEK!

The hotel is very marginal overall compared to others in town, you just stay there b/c you think it makes people think you are cool. Target 'audience', LOL. You've come a long way in a few years, for sure. We spend/waste money on nice hotels 6-7 weeks per year...just won't be there anymore.

Knew that would greatly upset/offend you though, so definitely a successful post. :sunglasses: Oh, and Metropol sucks too. Boom.

No question it's best location, and I acknowledged that fact.

Here's another one -----> Nada is overrated. We walked over there b/c it was across the street. Nice Jalapeno Marg, cool atmosphere...but my 2nd marginal meal there. It's just normal chain-like food in a jazzed up atmosphere, in my opinion. It's fine, but I remember people losing their **** over that place once upon a time...and often in here.

Anth... We have a newborn who is 2 months old and a wife who works crazy hours. I have to pick my spots, my man. Went to the UCLA and UL games. Going Saturday and can not wait.

Never given you all grief once about going to games. That's awsome you have season tickets. Have given the Rupp crowd in general **** recently because it was well deserved. The worst it's been in a long time, going back to pre-Pitino when he had to challenge the crowd to actually have fun.

Expect a great one on Saturday though. She always rises to the occasion for the big ones, especially when there's the sense that Cats really need it.

I obviously don't know the difference between good and bad tacos. I just love the atmosphere there.

Another highly entertaining game in the most underrated rivalry in the country...hardly ever a letdown.

Blueitt in that first half was about as good as you'll ever see, really impressive of UC to withstand that and win rather easily in the end. They made some pretty ridiculous shots themselves in the 2H.

No, I was serious when I said, "you're not really their audience." Fairdale isn't really their clientele.

Nada is fine, it's not OMG other than the pork belly/fried egg taco. Don't remember anyone saying any different. Once again, BBdk trying really hard to be a contrarian too cool and thrifty with a far superior palette.

^ my house is bigger than their entire building.

But neither is Shively btw, where you've spent the majority of your life.

Nothing cracks me up more than him forgetting where he came from. I've been privileged my entire 37 years on earth, but happy for Anth's last 8-10 years -- glad he could join in the good life, and take it to a new level with the help of his parents. In due time you'll be comfortable enough that your go-to smack isn't bragging about not being poor. [cheers]

What's funny about the Shootout over the last few years is UC has managed to grab the "not quite lovable scrappy underdog" role from XU.

XU going to the Big East and the infamous "we straight gangsta" post game speech helped with that.

Man, XU is ishing the bed this year. Good to see, fans were getting uppity recently. Know your role and whatnot.

I have a square footage obsession when it comes to hotels, and pretty much book backwards from that. :sunglasses:

Comes in handy, highly recommend the extra time looking it up when you've narrowed down your chosen area and brands. It can make a huge difference in bigger cities as far as your comfort is concerned.

Anth told me for a year how he couldn't fit his luggage in his Paris room, and that was just part of the deal staying over there -- typically yes, but not if you research square footage like a psycho. Our room was yuge.

I like nice things. I like nice hotels.

But if you can't fit your luggage in a room, then you're a raging, gushing *****. No need to even explain the square footage.

Ha, I grew up in Bullitt Cty, Shively and Fairdale you've obviously grown into it. I know where I'm from but glad we moved on from it. Not going to take your smack for not appreciating quality lodging. I have no idea the square footage of the hotel rooms I book.

You're not ready for the big boys yet, wodie. Pick on a few of the 4th tier guys for a bit and get yourself back in game shape.

Learn Paris hotel rooms. It fit but it was tight. Had to put WS on the elevator and run up the stairs to get her and the luggage off. We moved the 2nd night b/c our first room was 1st floor and window was about 10 feet from a train station. The next room allowed for luggage and movement. The Burgans also stayed in that hotel. They can vouch. Cool place, but small rooms.

You mean one of the most expensive real estate cities in the world had small hotel rooms? No ****??

Talk about not being ready. Jesus, man. If you went to f'ing Paris looking for a huge, spacious suite -- that's squarely on you.

What makes UC/XU so intense is that both teams have an inferiority complex.

UCLA appears to be imploding. Can't say I'm surprised.

Saturday will be one of those games that the Rupp crowd won't allow Kentucky to lose. Only time they did lose in an environment like I'm sure we'll see Saturday was against Florida in Tubby's last year when Gameday was there.

Duke may fix some of their issues when K returns, but that won't fix their biggest problem. They don't have a point guard. You'd think a basketball savant like Dauster would've figured that out before giving them them the damn title.

. Cool place, but small rooms.

Which is why I pay attention to sq footage.

In NYC, Europe, etc ----> nice/upscale doesn't always equal comfortable, far from it, in fact (as you and the Burgans can vouch)

Don't see the beef with researching & comparing the nice hotels to eliminate which ones may have really small rooms and/or find out which one stands out w/ a much larger one across the same * Level & Price.

We always stay in nice hotels, and we always have the largest (standard) rooms available in our desired location. Dumb strategy as opposed to blindly booking based on which one is the most expensive I guess, but that's our preference.

I had a blast. Other than the noise the first night it was perfect. Favorite city in the world.

Typical Americans. Come bombing thru the lobby, shades still on indoors, yacking on the cell phone, dragging 17 pieces of luggage behind them, and complaining about the closet space. We're you eating a cheeseburger and driving an SUV, too??

FYI: they don't really do AC overseas the way we do in the States, and you need an outlet converter for electricity. Just a heads up.

Just want to point out I was WAY out in front on Duke. So unless Splinter took their empty locker room and forbidden swag to build a shot blocker or true PG then nothing will change. Tatum isn't going to start playing D or jacking shots, Bolden and Jackson won't be allowed to take lumps, Allen will continue to flail and be a tremendous *****, and Harry Giles 2018 bank account will continue to get smaller.

It's getting late, but I'm all in favor of carrying this over to RIP Anth Friday. Who's with me?

Dude needs to get knocked down a peg or two, for sure.
You could use the help, that's for sure. Might want to recruit ALL the troops.

I just bought some black jeans to blend in. Worked like a charm.
