I think I find that funny to an irrational degree due to years of watching a guy in a bear suit do mundane things like hailing a cab on Letterman.

I've been tempted to get one of those T. rex suits myself so I get it.

HBO balls- is "The Young Pope" supposed to be playing it straight or is it a dark comedy?

Anyone using Playstation Vue? Thinking about trying it out since it's the only steaming service that has a dvr function.

I'm on day 2 of the 7-day free trial right now since Dish keeps jacking up our rates. Checking out the $34.99 plan.

Positives:
- Great selection of channels without having to buy an add-on pack. Especially for sports.
- Interface/Guide is pretty simple to use and the most TV like.
- You can have 5 different user profiles to customize it like Netflix.
- You can watch it on 5 different devices at the same time. I think Sling only allows 2.
- On-Demand programming from local channels.
- It has a last channel option to flip back and forth between two channels.
- Great picture
- No contracts. Cancel anytime.

Negatives:
- Not being able to just flip through channels is taking some getting used to.
- Sports look kind of weird because the Fire Stick I'm using only runs at 30 frames per second. Reading that FireTV runs at 60fps and may try that out.
- Not being able to turn the volume up and down with the Fire Stick remote. I think there may be some options out there for this, however.

Overall I'm pretty impressed with it. Has far exceeded my expectations for streaming television.

UCLA is going down. Have to question the smarts of USC fans starting the overrated chant with 5 minutes left and up only 6.

1,2,4,6 and 8 go down and the week is only halfway over. Going to be a crazy tournament.

Oh the Sheriff isn't going quiet into the night.

Hosting for Deener this morning pleading that several recruits have said that they were turned off by this behavior so it really shows the NCAA that this did nothing to benefit recruiting.

Yet their two biggest NBA stars MEGA and TERRY have all but admitted they were apart of this behavior, the former who contributed to a NCAA Title.

Road games suck. We all know that. When you look at the numbers, it's even more glaring. From Rafters thread:

UK Cal at Home - 129-5 for 96.3%
UK Cal at Neutral Sites - 60-13 for 82.2%
UK Cal on the Road - 45-32 for 58.4%

2011, 2013, and 2016 teams lost 7 games on the Road. 2014 lost 5 games on the Road. Obviously the 2010, 2012, and 2015 teams were good everywhere they played.

Everybody's Super Bowl, T Shirt Game, Popcorn Box, etc. It is what it is. Get out of this regular season with a 26-4 record, or similar, and move on. Mark us down for a loss in Gainesville. College Station is probably 70/30 for a Cats win, but think we'll be clicking by March.

He's terrible at Rap, don't sweat it. On record as hating Pac, Big, Jay, Outkast, Kendrick...or pretty much everyone who's ever been great. He likes the wack wigger stuff that sucks or nobody else has heard of, mostly.
Whoa. Mash hates Kendrick?

That was actually a really interesting thread, showed that Coach K, who literally doesn't schedule away games OOC is at 62% (and in the last 5 years when he's been forced to have away OOC games for the ACC/Big Ten challenge he is 0-3), Williams is at 58%, etc. Just shows how hard away games are in college basketball.

It's out of my system. Still concerned about some glaring weaknesses about this team but anyone who has watched college ball and especially Kentucky in regards to the SEC knows that weird crap happens on the road.

Despite him being bad defensively at times Fox is what makes us go. Not just looking a numbers but we just look so much calmer and more effecient when he's attacking in transition and doing his thing in the half court. He was out there on Tuesday favoring that ankle as if he was afraid to further injure it.

Hopefully he will be much closer to 100% on Saturday night. Need to attack these fools in transition, get the crowd involved and get their limited bigs in foul trouble. Let Bam feast.

Feel one of those special Rupp moments coming on Saturday night and this group arrives to the occasion. These kids will be dialed in and the crowd will be thirsty.

The kid has scored 7 points all season for a below average Eastern Kentucky high school team. No clue why Drew is hyping him up, at least Zion Harmon is averaging 15+ a game for the #1 team in the state.

[eyeroll] I'm sure Drew was not the least bit tongue-in-cheek with that post. He should definitely be hyping legit marginal Kentucky talent, I agree

Wilgus knows it's earned not given, anyway

Yeah but his name is Wilgus and he's from Wolfe County and he makes crazy passes and OMG SO WACKY!!

Thanks Matt and Drew...you've just created an entire legion of hilljacks who are going to be wearing Cal out for the next 4 years about offering a kid who's probably going to end up at Alice Lloyd.
*dusts off his old Jerry Tipton mock posts that inevitably included words of praise for JR VanHoose*

Took a sick day yesterday for the first time in forever for a sinus infection. Good Lord- thing is whipping my ***. Probably could have slept another couple of days if it weren't for life. Appreciate any spare prayers and porch lights.

Good kid m.a.a.d City is the best album of the 2010's. Gone back and listened to it like 4 times this week. Every track is a banger. Second best album was Zac Brown Band you get what you give from 2010

I'm not a big believer in luck in sports, but the 2011 Kentucky team had legitimate bad luck on the road the likes of which I've never seen a team have. That team probably set the record for most improbable shots made against, most career highs by marginal players, most cheat code-enabled losses, etc.

I have lost 4 of my 5 starters due to injury this year. A 6'6 center (football ACL)
A 6'3 elbows on the rim athlete (football ACL)
Our PG (knee)
Our best 3 point shooter (knee - same game the PG went down)

I've never believed in luck either, but I'm in a very, very dark place right now. Somewhere along the way I've pissed off the Basketball Fates royally. No pilondial cysts though, which is a positive.

Oh, and our Cats have the makeup of a team that will be upset early in the tourney. Poor shot selection and can't keep people out of the paint. Disaster waiting to happen. Again, I'm in a dark place so I'm looking at things as a huge pessimist.

Reading this thread to escape.

I'm not really up to speed on the UL response, but just listening to Mags right now they are the height of absurdity.....how do they not get crushed?

Well according to Card Game ( supposed Insider on their board) after yesterday's University response he now feels 100% no vacation of games and now feels 80% sure Pitino will serve no suspension due to how well laid out the Administration countered the NCAA.

We do take a few bad shots from time to time, especially Monk, but overall I think we are pretty damn efficient on offense.

Now, not being able to keep people out of the paint is a different story. As a coach, any ideas on how this can be fixed - other than waiting for a lightbulb to suddenly click on?

Cal's teams are usually very good defensively. So I'm pretty sure he knows how to coach D. But the constant switching into mismatches and the new wrinkle of ineffective traps at the wrong time leading to wide open cutters in the paint is infuriating.

Lack of communication on simple screens, usually by one of our guards' man on Bam, led to countless layups and resulted in Briscoe or Monk putting their hands in the air and staring at a confused Bam at least 5x in Knoxville.

From my view, a simple lack of effort is the culprit for letting ball handlers dribble right to the basket time and time again. And that infuriates me.

Tell me... how do we fix this in the next month?

I'm pretty sure we were better defensively at the beginning of the season, which is unbelievable given our starting lineup is four freshmen and a sophomore.

I'm no XandO Joe, but it seems like 85% of our defensive problems are effort based, and there is simply no excuse for that ********.
