It ain't nothin' but a small frame house on an acre lot
It ain't that much diff'rent from any other house on the block
And it may not look like we got all our share of the promise
But at least one thing's for sure, I got it honest

Roll out of the sack every mornin', head on down to the mill
Give 'em all I got for eight, 'cause that's the deal
If you'll check out my paycheck
Well, you'll see that there ain't that much on it
But ev'ry single penny I'm paid, I got it honest

I never had to hang my head in shame
For puttin' a price tag on my name
Never turned my back on what I believe
Or let my heart be ruled by greed
'Cause buddy if I didn't earn it, I don't want it
That way I can always say, I got it honest

Now you ain't looking at some dude
That was born with a Silver spoon in his mouth
And I might seem like some kind of low-life
To that highfalutin' crowd
But I'm plain spoken, straight talkin'
And damn proud of what I have accomplished
Some folks appreciate that and some don't
But, I got it honest

Now when I die, I may not leave my kids a fortune
But I hope they know'd my life stood for things that were important
And I'll hand out the same sturdy old values of my daddy and my momma
It made me every ounce of what I am and I got it honest

I never had to hang my head in shame
For puttin' a price tag on my name
Never turned my back on what I believe
Or let my heart be ruled by greed
'Cause brother if I didn't earn it, I don't want it
That way I can always say, I got it honest
Friend there ain't no doubt about it, I got it honest

I sure as hell didn't grow up privileged and I'm a Republican. I grew up working in tobacco fields where a lot of days I was the only native English speaker. I have multiple college degrees that my parents didn't pay for. In 2017 I am still the only person in my immediate family with a bachelor's degree. I don't go to church. My father was in a union. Basically every stereotype that's been applied by Chad to Republicans does not fit me.

And you also think Superman and wrestling are real.

How embarrassing. Simply because he didn't get his way. Grow up Chad.

Politics has long been frowned upon in GYERO, until the last two months when it's approached daily. If I would've done that with Obama, you would have lost your mind.

If you want a political thread, cool- let's have a political thread.

Willy... If you going where I think you're going I'll let you know that you can ask anyone that truly knows me and they'll say I'm possibly the least racist person they know. Have plenty of black friends from high school that I keep up with and have made friendships with several other blacks as well.

There are people on here who have seen me in disgust when another poster used the N word, which is such a disgusting and ignorant word.

Richie, I was joking in case you actually had any doubt.

But seriously everyone, can we get politics the hell out of GYERO? TIA

Chad... Do you hold a grudge against John Wall's kids or Obama's kids because their father is wealthy and has provided a nice lifestyle for them?

Or does your policy only apply to white people?

Their kids don't benefit from white privilege like you have your entire life, Rich.

Acknowledge your privilege and maybe I'll start taking you seriously.

Haha. I attended public school my entire life. White privilege had nothing to do with my grades and test scores getting into Charleston. White privilege has had nothing to do with my job performance. I don't work for a family owned company and my dad hasn't given me a cent since I graduated college.

You're being ignorant and closed minded.

Chad... Bring your *** down here and we'll go hoop at Bingham Park this Spring. Want to see how you do since you're such a man of the people. Don't call pansy **** though. The players there don't respect whiny soft *** play.

I'm from Claryville, MFer. I'm not some softass loafer-wearing Louisville east ender so I find the above rather amusing.

Scotty Davenport told me you aren't ****, anyway. You sit outside and bomb 3s and cherry pick on D. The only thing urban about your game are those Jordans daddy bought you.

I don't own Jordan's, Chad. And my dad hasn't bought me anything other than Christmas gifts since I was in college.

So you don't like anyone who grew up in nice areas? Does that apply to your fiancé? Maybe she feels guilty.

Claryville is really tough, you guys. It's also the cultural epicenter of Kentucky loaded with diversity.

As of the census[4] of 2000, there were 2,588 people, 942 households, and 725 families residing in the CDP. The population density was 371.1 people per square mile (143.4/km²). There were 993 housing units at an average density of 142.4/sq mi (55.0/km²). The racial makeup of the CDP was 99.11% White, 0.27% African American, 0.12% Native American, 0.12% Asian, 0.08% from other races, and 0.31% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 0.46% of the population.

There were 942 households out of which 38.2% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 63.4% were married couples living together, 9.4% had a female householder with no husband present, and 23.0% were non-families. 18.8% of all households were made up of individuals and 4.7% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 2.75 and the average family size was 3.14.

The average Sunday lately has been about half a page of posts. This has provided some good reading before football started.

You want diversity? The Bob White Club, Campbell County Game & Fish Club and the Knights of Columbus Lake are all located in Claryville, right next to each other.

To be honest wcc is probably the only liberal to ever come from Claryville.

* Had a blast hanging with wcc, his privileged fiance and the BBdK's last night. An excellent time was had by all.

Adrian deserves a medal for getting out and about in his condition.

* I had a tire blow out on 71 South on the way there, just N of Montgomery Rd. so there is very little shoulder. That was fun changing that while people whizzed by at 80 mph.

* When we got home last night and sent the babysitter (my sister) home, I thought I heard one of the girls coughing so I went upstairs to check on them. The 4 yr old was puking everywhere. Pretty much went on all night.

* Now, I am at work waiting on my boss to come in and go over a bunch of stuff for an upcoming Board Meeting. I'm tired and grumpy.

I know we don't need any more political views right now, but I didn't have any flat tires at all during Obama's reign. And my little girl wasn't puking all night before ObamaCare was destroyed.

Thanks, Trump. So far, I'm not impressed.

Lmao there are more people in masterson station.

I think Chad is from NKY/cinci, and that's about the worst place you could ever come from as documented by GYERO over the years.
