I'd like to point out for the guy who continually ***** on Hawkins, that while Briscoe was running point the team looked like a complete f'n dumpster fire. When we switched to Hawkins at point, we rebuilt the lead.

Scored on 6 of the next 7 possessions after Hawkins took over at the point (with Willis' behind the back dribble on the fast break bring the outlier).

Looking a lot like most Cal teams this half on offense. Walking it up. Playing at a more typical pace. I think that's the way to go without Fox. When we try to play as fast without Fox, we turn the damned ball over.

Fox plays 8 mins.
Briscoe puts up 0 points.
UK winning going away against a top 25 team with their best player going for 30 plus.

Also the random scrub hitting two 3s after having only hit two 3s all season.

I don't think Gabriel's recent play is a fluke at all. Kid has a motor. Has some skills. Just had no idea what he was doing and seemingly lost confidence. Hell, I thought he was a lock to be back, but if he can stay on this pace his stock will be higher than Briscoe's.

Briscoe played the worst game of his career and Fox went out early with an injury.

Despite what would usually be a recipe for disaster, we scored over 1.2 PPP against one of the best defensive teams in the country. With the evolution of Gabriel, we now have weapons all over the floor no matter the lineup combination. It's scary how good this team can be.
