Only thing that worries me re seeding is that any SEC loss (with the possible exception of Florida) is going to look awful on our resume. In contrast, our wins will just be poo-pooed. The Michigan State win looks less and less impressive by the day, too. We really need that Kansas win imo.

Watched WVU this weekend vs TCU. Man, that team can play defense. Wouldn't enjoy that matchup in the tournament, though it looks like it would be a E8 or later matchup...thank goodness. They force almost 25 turnovers per game. That's insane. Nathan Adrian is a beast...doesn't score a ton of points...but dude is crazy disruptive, and is the quintessential white guy who does the little things.

I don't think that's true at all.

As much as we ***** about how terrible the SEC is (because it's true), 12 of the 14 teams are in the RPI top-100. MSU is 157, and Missouri is 244. Also, with the exception of Missouri, every team has a .500 or better record.

There are bad losses out there, but going on the road in conference and losing once to a top-100 team doesn't kill your resume.

Going to roll with the Tide tonight. 30-27

Our 3 point % now up to 35%

Justin Thomas with his 2nd win of the year.

Pies and Pints is really solid. Great wings, great nachos and the chicken gouda pizza is off the charts.

Yeah I'm fine -- just on my 7th consecutive day in bed in pretty constant pain, still not back to work, or even able to really dress myself...with no end in sight. Honestly have no clue when I'll be able to drive again. Glad I finally got this taken care of, but far from an optimal way to start out a new year at Work & The Gym.

...guess one good thing is the smoking. 10 days and going strong, with not even the slightest urge or thought, honestly. I'm sure this other distraction has a lot to do with the ease of this whole deal, but I'll take it. Regardless, confident saying I'm done with that ****. :100points:

-Getting really good at watching TV. Currently rotating The Affair, Goliath, The Crown, and This Is Us...the latter of which is actually a pretty good wife watch, if you are looking for a 'together' show. Seems like something Chad would really like. Made me think about 'What About Brian' for some reason -- although it's not a similar show plot wise. Same kinda feel though, maybe a bit 'heavier'.

It is amazing what Duke does. Every couple years they churn out what seems to be the most hateable college basketball player of all time and then a couple years later they one up themselves. Remarkable.

Being the almost exclusive home of uber-talented, over-privileged preppy white boys makes this a consistent possibility imo.

I think we're gonna blow Kansas doors off. Cats are on another level right now imo. Rock Chalk doors off.

Wife took the kids out Saturday night for like 4 hours so naturally I kicked back, relaxed and painted the boys room and hung new blinds. Those are absolutely the worst things to do on the planet. I can't paint worth a ****. Cutting in? Forget it. Lines all on the ceiling and baseboard. Looks terrible. And as I was standing on the ladder trying to cut in I lost my balance and the damn tray flipped over and spilled all over the carpet. Just stood there and stared at it for a minute. Tried cleaning it w some towels, no dice. Just moved one of their beds over it and hoped no one noticed. Lmao false.

Finished up and still had a couple hours until they were going to be home so I decided to shave my much maligned beard. Kids had never been more let down their lives. Growing it back now. Will keep everyone posted.

Say what you want but there's not much better than basking in the warm cancerous glow of a tanning bed on a 15 degree day. Little color on your face but also a bit of pep in your step.

Week 2 of my diet and it's going great. Already down 4.5 lbs this year. Killing it. Just cutting down on the fast food and walking on the treadmill at night like a Mom. New gym in town is offering 2 memberships plus tanning :)sunglasses:) for like $35/mo. Gonna get back in shape and rough y'all up at GELex.

You guys watched This is Us? Usually hate those kinda shows but Kenzie got us into it and I'll be honest i damn near cried like a ***** every episode. Love the drama. Great show. Need House of Cards to come back soon tho

YUM! audit a comin'.

It's just so weird to me to see a city and their university, actually just their university AD, in such an adversarial relationship. You've got a similar situation in Cincinnati with UC, and I don't think UC's athletic director has ever beefed with any local politicians. Seems like our rube neighbor down I-71 needs to get their head on straight.

... This Is Us...the latter of which is actually a pretty good wife watch, if you are looking for a 'together' show.

Wife DVR'd 10 hours of that show yesterday with the (mistaken) thought we would watch together. I, not knowing this show has become a huge hen talking point, left the room as she started it... which led her to turn it off, call me inconsiderate and say we have nothing in common.

That show can go pound sand.

The lass wanted to start the OA. Through about 4 episodes now. It's weird but kind of interesting. She has changed her stance on it after every episode. Can see I will probably have to push to finish it now.

We've got a pretty good thing going. I sit on the couch reading the intraweb and channel surfing while she scurries around in circles banging pots and pans together until about 10:00p.

The real joke of us watching shows together is she is either on her phone going down the Pinterest rabbit hole, or she falls asleep in bed 15 minutes in...

But if I go ahead and watch without her, oh boy...

Watching/starting a show without consulting the lass first is the ultimate diss, apparently.

Umm, ok. News to me. Pretty sure you can still watch it, actually -- the remote is right there.

IT WONT BE THE SAME NOW I WANTED US TO WATCH IT.

Talked to bbdk yesterday. His biggest complaints are the pain due to the crater taken out of his *** and the lack of empathy from his real friends.

If you all could lay off the second ******* comments I'm sure he would appreciate it. Because you all know he would do the same for you.

After 2 full days in a 40 degree house, a savior showed up yesterday in a late 90s Grand Am with a trunk full of supplies to fix a stretch of collapsed duct work. Hired him off Thumbtack at 9 in the morning and the job was finished by noon. He brought his pregnant wife along but she spent most of the time outside smoking heaters.

Could have waited for our home warranty folks to get out and fix it, but they were going to take 3-5 days to have someone come out and diagnose the issue, file a claim and then have them come back when it was approved up to a week later and finally fix it. A week and a half after the initial report. THANKS.

I dont understand why gals always want to have these mutual shows to enjoy with their husbands. My wife tries these same things but she watches absolute garbage for the most part. "So you are just going to sit in here and read while I watch Dancing with the Stars by myself?" I also dont like scheduled TV viewing. I can't say that I will want to watch a certain show every Tuesday night at 8:30. Maybe I will, maybe I wont. Dont make me commit. That being said i've watched a couple eps of This is Us and it was ok.

I did begin binge watching The Americans from the very beginning, during the weekends **** fest ice storm. Good stuff... Keri Russell, man. Not sure she ages.

Finished Gladwell's David and Goliath. Meh. A bit sour on that guy. Thought his podcast was great, though. Currently a few pages into All the Light we Cannot See... trying to read one every 2 weeks bc I got pretty bad about just staring at twitter all night long.

U2 doing a Joshua Tree summer tour EEK.

I like my team, you guys.

Good to see several all-star crew members pre game Saturday night. Schems, Boats, Beans, AP.Coms, Super Lurker, Champagne Tom, B$ and my favorite... Big Anth. I'm sure I'm leaving somebody out, but who gives a touch. Always good to see you guys.

As for the game itself, I like the fight in this group. Try to bully us and you're gonna get run.

Our zone offense has been pretty damn good this year. Briscoe is a magician when he gets in the middle.

My favorite zone busting play was in the Tex A&M game when a series of rapid fire passes ended with a Willis dunk. Beautiful basketball.

* Went to Texas Roadhouse before a trip to Toys R Us yesterday due to having gift cards for both.

Should be called Texas Outhouse. You know I'm no food snob, and I'm fat and bald and all that stuff, but it was pretty awful and I had bathroom issues the rest of the day. Awful.

Toys R Us was good, except the kids wanted to look at toys they wanted instead of letting me play with Star Wars stuff. My wife didn't think I should buy the 5' Darth Vader so I didn't.

* Just watched a live stream of the 2018 Camry unveiling at the Detroit Auto Show. The only thing interesting was a new TRD model that will be available to the public. Think NASCAR.

Well that and the smoking hot blonde Columbian host being awkwardly hit on by her cohost.

* If it is gonna be cold we might as well have a decent amount of snow to play in.

* Cats by a bunch tomorrow night. Tide in a squeaker tonight.

The wife and I adopted Suits as our watch together show last Friday. It's a pretty satisfying producedral in the, "Oh you want to stick it to me? Turns out: I'm gonna stick it to you genre."

Speaking of sticking it to people who think they're sticking it to you, you would not believe how much free Bob Evans I have coming to me after destroying their Newport manager in person and later in an email to corporate on Saturday.

"First off, sir, you should know that I'm a Christian and you just said the F-word. Twice." - I don't think that little factoid tugged at my heart strings like he thought it would.

Quite possibly the most (only) interesting post you've ever made, and you don't even give the actual story/details.

The only thing that would make that story zanier is if his Scotch in-laws were in town and this whole mess arouse from an argument over splitting an order of biscuits and gravy between 5 people. Wacky
