Oh... the old, "you didn't go to UK" so you're not a real fan. This from SAE(openly a UL fan), BBdk(closet IU fan and chronic masturbater) and Ursch([laughing] not even a fan). Good one guys, glad you all fought for student rights... now tell those losers to actually show up to games. This has been going on for a few years. If not lets get some people in there that are appreciative of being able to watch a game even though they're not students or alumni.

Bellarmine Basketball was an absolute **** show while I was there. Friends with several players and went to about 25% of the games but it was pretty hard to watch. Great small gym viewing though. Love my alma mater and no regrets going there. I'll eventually start cracking away at that Gatton MBA when I get bored, can't wait to piss you fools off.

- Seriously, Mitch, wtf is Ravi doing out there at timeouts? What is the matter with the band, the fight song and our dopeass dance team? Frankly, I appreciate the downtime.
They always talk about starting new traditions. Well, that kind of kills the old ones when you're switching **** up every year with your dumbass checkerboards.

The new logo makes sense stylistically but man...I just can't get into it. And the old logo stuff is disappearing. Time for new gear...especially a hoodie. Just can't pull the trigger on the new stuff.

* Aroldis Chapman --> He's never been worth $17 million. He's not now. He never will be. But I also don't see his performance tailing off much in the next 5 years. He's only 28, and the contract is "only" for 5 years.

The per season salary isn't what kills teams in free agency. It's the crazy length of the contract (8-10 years, for many sluggers), and the predictable effects of age. It's not a great deal for the Yankees by any stretch, but it won't kill them, either.

He’s “worth” whatever he can get and the Yanks are willing to pay…you can’t put out a threshold amount that defines “worth”. Maybe a Picasso is worth X amount to someone and much less to another.

A new rookie may be "worth" the league min to some and a shot at the show, or much less and a year in A ball to others.

And if he saves an X amount of games or is a key component for the Yanks to contend, then that provides all the “worth” or ROI that they were hoping for.

You always get too caught up in salaries vs. looking at the overall picture.

Yankees had to make that deal to keep up with Boston. Chapman and Betances give them 2 outstanding relievers. Specialized bullpens have become so important in the game, so this was a good deal for the Yankees. The Marlins are offering similar money to Kenley Jansen.

The White Sox cleaned up with prospects, though. @BKH34 should love what they did, getting the top prospect in baseball and two of the best pitching prospects as well in giving up Sale and Eaton.

Anth on Channel 18. Got up to watch it, and a customer had the remote and switch it to Nickleodeon. :(

Anth on those commercials cracks me up -- looks like a cute (no homo) little innocent, humble, and bubbly fella.

The magic of television.

So apparently there was a 6.8 earthquake off the coast of northern CA today then a 7.7 by the Solomon Islands. Well, I think we all know what happens next...

Love warm weather but cold winter days in December with the bright sun shining amongst blue
skies... Gets me in The Christmas Spirit.

Went for a run in the park during lunch. It's beautiful out there.

Can't wait to knock back a brown tonight with the wood crackling in the fireplace.

DeAndre Liggins starts for the Cleveland Cavs. He hit a couple threes last night against the Knicks. The Cavaliers hit 22 threes last night against the Knicks.

But apparently LeBron LOVES him.

The logo changes have really been overshadowed by my hatred of the checkerboards and our basketball uniforms.

Meh, long maintained that I'm cool with winter up until January when I'm ready for it to GTFO. Actually this year cold is welcome. Not exactly great for business when it's the warmest fall ever.
