That's how it goes when you get older, SAE.

Saturday drinking. Totally FUBAR having the greatest time ever.
Sunday: ****. I can't be doing that. I think I'm having a heart attack. I'm sweaty and my heart is jumping beats. Can't sleep and don't feel like eating.
Monday at work: I still feel ******. Telling co-workers what I did and what I'll never do again.
Tuesday: same co-worker asks if I want to grab a beer and watch the game on Saturday......hell yea I do.

It's insanity.

Just got an exclusive offer from UK Athletics for lowers to tomorrows game, only $225 a piece.

How long has face value on tickets been $100+?

They started doing dynamic pricing last season, I believe. The lowest price is $25 per (uppers) for non-marquee games I believe.

Yup. $110 face on my uppers for tomorrow and Kansas.

Weekend SEC games are $65 or $75.

Weeknight games are cheaper.

Preseason games were anywhere from $25-$65.

I looked into flights for funsies, but Jacksonville isn't worth 80K SW points as much as I love my kates.

Glad Anth was able to make it work, though. Shew, that was close.

-Adrian & I are going to jail. At a local bar slamming shots.

-Ashamed to admit I haven't even listened to the No Laying Up Podcast...but they are growing rapidly, pretty much a tour fixture at this point -- loved by many, and hated by plenty. Saw they had Spieth on recently? Probably my favorite Twitter follow these days. Their Tiger and especially Reed love cracks my **** up. #TourSauce

-Of all the #TourSauce moves, I cannot WAIT to sign my glove & hand it over to my victim after hitting into someone on an opposing fairway/yard at some point. Will be a highlight of my golfing career. Even the thought of that makes me [laughing] Sharpie is already in the bag.

The Apology

This is one by far my favorite, and by far the most difficult to pull off. Say you hit a ball out of bounds (someone snapped a picture on your downswing AGAIN). Once you finish belittling the fool that won’t quit capturing Kodak moments, you realize you hit it into someone’s yard and the homeowner happens to be out trimming the hedges. You walk up, feigning genuine concern, and lead with your standard, “Is everyone ok?”. After you’ve played your shot, you take off your glove, walk over to the fan (confused homeowner), sign it, and give it to them and apologize. Throw in a gratuitous “I’m not gonna find this on Ebay next week, am I?” joke in there, as if your John Hancock has some real monetary value

^ Part I, but make sure to read them all if you golf.

Mark Story perfectly explains why the 1975 loss to UCLA was the most consequential loss in UK history. Not necessarily the most painful, but the most historically significant.

It was the first season I really remember watching / following / understanding what was going on. From that day forward, my one burning lifetime sports goal was to see UK pass UCLA, and still is, 41 years later.

http://www.kentucky.com/sports/college/kentucky-sports/uk-basketball-men/article118303933.html

The 1977 loss to UNC stung more at the time, and was what fueled my lifelong hatred of the heels, but I feel like we've avenged that loss several times over.

If we had just F'n beaten UCLA, it's 10-9 right now and we're playing this season with a chaince to tie them.

New UK plates. Like the simplicity over the starburst gradient one I have now but I'd prefer the colors flipped.

I guess that depends on your predilection for perfect tense and compound verbs, Joseph.
No. Perfect tense and compound verbs are both conjugations of the infinitive.

You can only conjugate the infinitive "to see"

You can't conjugate the past participle "seen" :

I seen, he seens, I am seening, I sawn, I was seening, I have seenen, I have been seening, I had seenen, I had been seening, I will seen, I will be seening, I will have been seening, etc.

This illustrates my point perfectly. Thanks.

I'm happy that you're up to speed. My eighth grade English teacher would be proud. I had to diagram a lot of sentences about the young protege he was coaching at the time.

"Shaun Alexander can run a four-four forty."

Kept it interesting, IMO.

Saw a mention of Briscoe guarding Ball tomorrow.

I understand there will be an even bigger height disadvantage but what about this dude D'ing up Lonzo?

Thoughts?

German is a fun language, by far the best to shout commands in.
Na Klar! I can agree from a position of knowledge of this. During my semester abroad in Venice I dated a German ballerina. Next semester, I took took German 101 as Grade Type: Pass/Fail Grade Type and had to invite my professor to a house party to narrowly secure a "Pass."

Anyways, tonight I excitedly headed out to Lowes and bought a couple pointsettias for the ol' Christmas mantle-scape at the homestead, so you could say I am definitely still out there "takin' good cuts" in the game of life at this point, IMO.

Oh btw guys, we're having a daughter in April!

Here's why this is a really sneaky big deal in the family dynamic: It relieves a ton tension Re: my son and his relationship to ice skating (my wife coaches/teaches figure skating, my SIL is a retired ice show performer, my MIL runs a large portion of Skate Canada in Eastern Ontario) .

"He should learn how the basics of how to skate... And yeah, but what if he does really like it, LOL?"

Now all I have to worry about is shuttling a little ice princess to the nearest proper rink that is only 45 minutes away a few days a week and buying multiple custom expensive outfits per season and new $500 skates every year for a solid 15 years or so.

Yessir, it looks like I'll be making out like a bandit on this one!

* All of that grammar nonsense was great and all, but it is obvious that ol' SAE just made a simple typo.

"I couldn't even seen straight Monday morning" isn't a case of improper English. It is a matter of accidentally hitting the "n" key.

I think I'll let a HOF poster like Brooks slide.

* Bringing one of my black friends to Rupp today. Hope I don't get the Chapman treatment. He's one of the good ones.

* About to whip up some cinnamon rolls and egg nog for my girls.

* My cancer ridden cat is still living large. His paw still bleeds from time to time, but he shows no other effects. Old boy lives for Christmas time. As soon as I drag a tree in and put it in the stand, he curls up under it. Every year. Sleeps there every chance he gets.

I have a stupid superstition I do with him before I go to games. I hold out my tickets and he rubs both sides of his face on them. The more vigorous the rub, the better the Cats generally play.

Pokey likes the Cats' chances today. [cheers]

*****, they're ruining GameDay with this playoff argument.

*I guess it's little man but I'm all in on Xmas this year.

*conjugated deez nuts.

*think the game is close today. They have a good mix of experience and talent and have seen us 3 years in a row. Rupp should be special though.

*really pissed I'm in the white shirt section though. ********.

Let the big dog out this morning. Ten minutes later the neighbor has him at the front door. He was up on the street. Battery in his collar is dead. Always figured he would never figure out that he could get out without the collar working. Nope. Not as dumb as I had assumed. Of course I can't find the replacement batteries that came with the fence, so he won't be free roaming in his backyard enclosure until the UPS man gets here Monday.
