Thanks for bringing it into GYERO though, instead of dropping some hot takes on the MLS visit to CIncinnati.

ROLLEYES

Unis will stay the same next year. New alternative uni will make its debut with a full buckle over TOYOTA logo on the front. This will become the primary jersey the next year. No orange except in the crest. I told them that was unacceptable. They will talk to Nike.

I'll talk to my boss and get you some MLS scuttlebutt when he is done screaming at our creative director.

Which got more scrutiny the video of the Fox triple double assist, OSU first down video or the Zapruder film? You be the judge!

^He just got a 6 year extension after last season. Going to their second bowl game in a row. Something's not right here...

Lorenzo Romar: Washington just lost to TCU twice in a row. Lost by 13 in a tournament in Vegas on Saturday and then lost against last night by 15 at TCU. That puts Washington at 4-3 on the year, having lost to Yale in their season opener.

Jim Valvano: As much as I can't stand this writer, John Feinstein's book "The Winner's Club" about ACC hoops in the 80s was outstanding. Basically, Jimmy V had ADD. He was always looking for the next challenge. He wanted to be a talk show host, he wanted to be an athletic director, announcer, commissioner, etc. Coaching was never enough for him, and I think that's why he ended up taking such risky recruits as Chris Washburn and Charles Shackleford and the like. And of course his foundation has raised a ton of money for cancer research and that's cool regardless of if you're famous or not.

Still not as much of a badass as Jerry Tarkanian, though.

-A lot of the Jimmy V Foundation success has to be credited to Vitale. He's pushed the hell out of that thing through ESPN. Pretty amazing.

-Heard they are testing an HIV vaccine on humans soon. Now that is amazing considering less than a 100 years ago Calvin Coolidge's son died from a blister.

-Tiger out there grinding. Should've cue'd up that over 2.5 bogeys but the juice was too high.

* Maybe it was the IU coach all those rumors were about earlier this year when we were losing and people mistook him for Stoops?

* That's it about Romar? I thought he had done something illegal or something. We already knew he sucked as a coach, didn't we?

* Just got my car back from the body shop. Had a side mirror replaced and a new seat put in. Cost over $100 less than the estimate. That never happens, does it?

* On season 2 of Boardwalk Empire. Excellent.

* About to pass Pope again on the scale. Probably get back to working out in the next day or 2.

* Pumped about the UCLA game. I think we roll.

* Will go to a bowl game in Charlotte, Nashville or probably Memphis. Will likely skip the Gator Bowl.

* Roll Damn Tide.

* Saw my 7th grade neighbor fall off of his scooter the other day. Remarked to my wife that I couldn't believe he was crying so hard. May have called him a little p word once or twice.

Saw him today. Arm in cast and missing his 2 front teeth.

* Davis (32.1), Cuz (28.7), Wall (22.6), KAT (22.4), Booker (19.1), Bledsoe (18.8), Randle (13.2), Knight (13.1), Kanter (12.8), Murray (10.4), Jones (10.2) all averaging double digits.

How about Andrew Harrison getting the start and pouring in 21?

That Dakich interview on KSR ystdy was fascinating. Could listen to him opine on all things college hoops for days. It's been said before, when he's not trolling or in psycho mode the dude is as good as they get in the biz. He may be the best.

Kind of opened up some about why he goes off his rocker. Talked about how he lost his dad last year. His dad was his mentor and an old high school coach in Gary, Indiana. Also admitted to trolling out of boredom at times.

The Knight stories were really good. He also kind of jabbed at Pitino saying he saw him walk through the Atlantis with his head down after losing like he was the Dalai Lama.

Damn, Joe McKnight was the John Wall of football mixtapes. Sad stuff.

-Ursch if you keep talking trash about Eldrick and I'm going to cut the covers of these books you loaned me. Don't test me.

Yeah, but before McKnight was murdered in broad daylight he was running his air conditioner in December. Even murdered, he's still better off than us poor chumps up here with our heat on.

Speaking of roasts why would Ann Coulter go on a Comedy Central roast? Is she on there often? Man, this is as awkward as the Chevy Chase roast.

Ruined the Rob Lowe roast. She did it just to hawk her new book that came out at the time.

Wasn't funny. More awkward then anything. Shows Democrats double standard when it comes to the treatment of women though.

Favorite roast moment ever: Ben Bailey coming out of nowhere to own the room at the Patrice O'Neal roast.
