Harry Giles has played something like a quarter of a season of basketball in about two years. From a developmental standpoint he's like a high school junior or one of those African players who just learned the game from Kevin Bacon two years ago. After that much time off he's going to have to shake off a lot of rust, learn how to trust his legs again, hope his athleticism is still there, and adjust to college size and speed. I'm sure he's a stud, but I'm not sure anybody would be able to make that transition in two or three months.

My kids have already adopted my defeatist attitudes toward the Bengals, Reds, and UK football so I get it.
The smart thing for Giles is just to a pack it up and wait for the draft. He could do serious damage to his stock if he actually plays college ball when he is not ready physically or mentally to do so. I know Cal would push him to do that but I wonder what players first Coach K does.
I always get the due dates of Mrs. Richie and LSat mixed up. Mid-Nov for one, late Nov for the other. I would like some reports on effacement, dilation, and stations please.
There's no chance in hell Giles doesn't play at Duke if he is physically capable of playing.
I mean, he will play because K is a scum bag. However, and I honestly don't think this is sour grapes, he really needs to think about this. Another knee injury could cost him MILLIONS. That Oklahoma DT just packed it in for the season for this very reason. He's a top 20 pick regardless... unless he gets hurt.
I've got a sneaking suspicion that Tatum is really going to f*ck with Duke's chemistry. That guy is a black hole and seems like a me-first *******.

Thinking Coach K may have bit off a bit more than he could chew with the THE BEST EVER 2ND BEST recruiting class he pulled this season. Until now, Coach K has been pretty successful in terms of developing 1-and-done players into lottery picks. Certainly better than any other coach in America not named John Calipari.
If you're a MDAA and truly want to be NBA-ready after a year of college, it's a two horse race (and not really event close --> ahem Bill Self [eyeroll]). If Coach K manages to royally touch-up this class, and there are several scenarios how this plays out, then look out.

Unathletic guards can't stop penetration
Meh, they're the best team but they're not without weakness. Pretty obvious a true PG is fairly important in March and dealing with young talent is tough. I think those are legit concerns. No reason we can sit back and poke holes in their greatest team ever, because we know the exact same **** has happened to us the past few times.

No ****. Injuries happen, I get that but these cucks couldn't make it out of the first week or so of the season before dropping a game. You won't see a team like that for a really f'ing long time. But I'm glad that's the pressure put on them so they can't be dissected for the rest of the season.
Take Towns, Booker and Ulis off the 2014 team and we still beat KU by 25 in Champions Classic. TS.

Well boys, after just 3 games it looked like a promising season for our young Wildcats. But Duke almost beat Kansas *without* two of the best players in the country (who haven't played a minute of college ball), so Rob Dauster is gonna go ahead and ship the title to Durham.
