The Chik Fil A at the West LaFayette exit is crucial on the way to Chicago. Get some grub, take a piss and then you're coming down the stretch to the city.

So is the $99 RT flight.
Yes. Driving to Chicago is insane. #1 it's the worst 4-5 hour drive imaginable and if you time it wrong getting into the city OR the 95% chance that 65 is shut down you're adding 2 hours.

Flying to Chicago is as close to time travel as it gets. I've literally arrived before I left nearly every time. Door to door in <2.5 hours a few times with drink in hand.

So...Cayts going to win tonight?

How about that Trump? Wild and wacky stuff there, huh?

Louisville > Cincinnati

What's airbody's starting 5 of the Cal era?

Jennifer Palumbo. STFU. Amirite?
So......did it start after I threw it out there? I'm guessing it was already going and you played it cool.

Sometimes I wish I wasn't too old for posters -- the annual KFB Basketball one we get for marketing is extry slick this year, imo.

-Wife did get that special Anthony Davis poster professionally framed for me last year though, looks great.

Framing seems like a cool hobby to have btw, or thing to know how to do. That **** is expensive AF.

Driving to Chicago is 4 to 4-1/2 hours from Louisville...max. Leave at your own convenience. Drive directly to your hotel...valet. Boom, check in.

I might see flying to Chicago from Lexington, but from Louisville it seems silly...especially for a family of 5.

Keep us updated on the relationship status, anth.

We're all on pins & needles here. Thanks.

My Mom and aunts have expressed less interest in this relationship than Anth, and one of my aunts even got busted in a Facebook stalking incident. WS needs to get him under control.

I'll confirm the relationship. Not Anth's story. Sheesh. (CMD, don't even think about it).

Flying is probably cheaper than the gas, toll booths, toll booth fines and speeding tickets along the way.:airplane:

Yeah, well it's not silly for a family of 2. From SDF, you can walk in the airport 40 minutes prior to your flight, another 40-50 minutes in the air, and you're there -- and you can drink the entire time. :)

When you add in Gas, Food/Stops, and Hotel Parking/Valet, it's probably even cheaper as well.

...and you don't have to deal with the awful drive home.

Ready to be back home...was going to make the drive from Chicago to NC this weekend and stop in Lex for the game on Saturday, but think I'm going to leave early tomorrow and get to NC by tomorrow evening.

Champions Classic bonus is when they put all the team records up and Kansas is 1-4 while everyone else has a winning record. Then they show the score from 2014 when we won by 30. Also I got engaged the day after the inaugural trip in 2011 where I learned that the key to doing stuff I wanted was to combine or disguise them with trips my wife likes.

Tree is up. Rest of the decorations will follow throughout the week. Looking forward to taking it down on the 26th while the Cats are playing in Shreveport. If by chance we end up in Birmingham, we wont even be in town. Plus its the worst bowl experience possible and im not even sure it has a sponsor this year. Last bowl game there- there were like 6 people working in the stadium. Like neighborhood kids literally could just walk in. And my car got booted after paying $10 to park in a man's front yard which turned out not to be his front yard he was just homeless and took my money. Then I watched with Anth and MCF as the basketball team laid an egg. So no, I wont feel back about missing that game if that is where we end up.

Respekt knucks to CMD and LB.

Cats at -7.5 is a scary line after not playing anyone just yet. Hard pass- think this game is close.

Down a point inside 2 minutes left, what do we do?

Hasnt rained here in 60 days. Everything is burning spontaneously. Didnt really expect to wind this year down with anything less.

73, my old man, father of 5 boys, thinks your expenses are cute.

You're a good Dad, though. We had one family vacation a year and it involved loading up the station wagon and driving to Destin. This was before families seemingly had to have vacations of a lifetime every quarter, though.

Two toppers on that sucker. 3 boys in the middle row. 2 boys in the back (facing backwards). His favorite story to tell now is the one year he picked up White Castle for dinner the night before we left. :)

I can't even comprehend how delicious that first true pilsner tasted for the poor bastard once we arrived. Shew...

I had every poster from 87-05 hanging in my bedroom until I joined the Marines...I came home from boot camp and they were gone - my mom said, "I thought you were done with them."

Last time I drove to Chicago I missed the exit to 90 and the GPS routed me through downtown Gary. The first thing I saw when I exited was a building with a huge "Best Handjob In Town" spray-painted on the side. It got worse from there. I didn't stop at any of the red lights. It felt like a set from "28 Days Later." Eerie.

I must say they've been completely dorks about this whole thing. Both scared to release the info to GYERO. Come on. The only reason this happened is GYERO.

Talked to JDrum at the last tailgate about how amazing GYERO has been over the years. GYERO has created Casual Sex, Breakups, Marriages, Kids, Lifelong friends, Lifelong enemies, vacation trips, raised money for charity, and stories about BBdK that can never be forgotten.

Congrats LBSloot and CMD, GYERO claims 2 more.

$99 to save 8-10 hours of driving is the deal of a lifetime. Not sure what the exact value is, btw, but it's easily worth 3x that if I'm in charge.

Don't listen to '73 folks, take it any time it's available when traveling north to a major city where having a vehicle is nearly useless.

The family trip south to the beach, I get it.

Who plans trips to Chicago? It's $500 RT to fly day of...just checked. Almost 100% of my Chicago trips have been spontaneous.

Mattox - hey, do you want to go watch Kentucky-Kansas?
Me - Sure. You driving?
Mattox - I guess. See you in an hour.
Me - Wodie.

Me - (just got home from work).
Wife - we have the weekend off.
Me - for real?
Wife - yup, let's go somewhere.
Me - cool. Chicago? St. Louis?
Wife - Chicago. Maybe check out a Cubs game and see Sarah.
Me - cool. Leave in 30.
