Dauster does not like this team.

I listened to his podcast (much better since mushmouth Raphielle Johnson left) previewing the SEC, and the argument seems to be that the team can't shoot, can't protect the rim, isn't deep, isn't physical and that the pieces don't fit.

Had the trash can version of this as a kid. Need to find one again. One of the best logos/setups ever.

I'm guessing that wasn't the only memorabilia in your room with a cardinal on it

As feared, The TPB Europe experiment is pretty awful, at least through 3 ep.

Noel Fielding saying gibberish and Ricky not knowing it was a Newfoundland dog in that picture (which seemed to legitimately crack them up) are about the highlights of the entire season.

The best way to break a glove in, is put ball in it, wrap with rubber bands and place in bathtub full of water for several days. Noobs

What he said is the most pessimistic view you can possibly take of this team. It's very odd, honestly.

-Wanted John Petty. Loved his game. Too bad. Still, this kid Shai is getting pretty strong reviews, and since he can play either guard spot, seems like a great "3rd guard" to bring in behind Young/whoever. Also, I love his "If I Ever Fall in Love" jam.

-Hoping the Cubs fervor will finally get off my social medias after this parade/rally is over today. Will it? Probably not. But it still stings, so whatever.

-"Any Given Wednesday".....boom. Outta here.

-Youngest suddenly decides she wants to play basketball this winter. The local parks/rec league has already started, so that ship has sailed. Only available options are two church leagues where you get points for knowing bible verses or whatever. As a Christian dad, that's fine. As a college basketball, I prefer she play in the pagan league, where there are winners and losers and strategy and competitive fire and whatnot.

As a former Triple Crown winner in the Dayton Jr. Baseball League, I know a thing or two about breaking in a glove. In fact, I used to help some of my Dayton Dairy Bar/White's Food Market teammates break theirs in.

Rubbing it with oil and heating it in a low oven for an extended period of time with a baseball tied in the pocket were indeed key parts of this process. Rub it again, tie it back up and keep it like that for a few days. Untying it every day to rub more glove oil in it.

Get out and catch thousands of balls in the damn thing.

Love it. Use it. And Love it some more. (insert stupid drxman1 joke here)

And a black glove is just as acceptable as a brown one for those of us who actually played the game at a high level.

Up in the Air was a great Clooney flick.

Love Anna Kendrick's resting ***** face.

That's probably my favorite along with "Oh Brother Where Art Thou" which we can singlehandedly thank for Mumford & Sons.

Also- "Dusk Before Dawn" if only because of Salma Hayek. :fire::pray::bomb::boom:

Dauster's harsh criticisms are of some light concern to anyone who knows the game, but of course he's going to blow it up a little to drive his audience. Imagine that.

Any time you're dealing with a young team, shooting, physicality, defense, and chemistry are things you have to worry about. Cal says as much himself. I do think they're further along than almost all of his teams he's had here at this point in the season, save '12 (close), '15, and '16 (only Ulis gives them the edge here).

Basically, Dauster is looking for something to grab a'holt of and say he was right about this bunch when we lose in a low-lit hostile environment in early Feb. It's the college basketball expert's way of flashing that knowledge! So congrats on stating the obvious, Dauster.

I WON STATE!

If you heat the damn thing, make sure there isn't oil on the strings. Will burn to a crisp. Had a dude do that at PRP and ruined a new glove.

Oil, ball, band, couch on top.

Interesting piece in the University of Alabama's rising position among public universities in this country.

The University of Alabama is the fastest-growing flagship in the country. Enrollment hit 37,665 this fall, nearly a 58 percent increase over 2006. As critical as the student body jump: the kind of student the university is attracting. The average G.P.A. of entering freshmen is 3.66, up from 3.4 a decade ago, and the top quarter scored at least a 31 on the ACT, up from 27.

Alabamians are now just 43 percent of the student body.
