Gave Josh his first glove for his birthday last December. Still in the process of breaking it in. It's a higher end glove, so the leather is extra stiff. Will be great in time, but it needs some work. He won't let me wear it to break it in, so he'll probably be ok when he's 9 (he's about to turn 8)...maybe this year with some extra work. Poor kid probably dropped half the balls thrown at him last year, b/c the glove was too stiff to close. No worries...kid thinks it's the greatest thing in the world...b/c it's "his" glove...not a hand me down from his brothers.

I got Brax a 12" Mizuno (red+black [eyeroll]) at the end of the summer. Been using it for Fall Ball and winter league. Still pretty stiff. Using the Nokona oil + burlap twine with a ball to help break it in. Hoping it's good to go by spring. Rico Gloves has a website that lets you completely customize every part of your glove. It's pretty cool except I let my 5 yr old design his and it looks like a flag from some island in the Caribbean.
You need to cook your glove in the oven and/or in the microwave before you tie it up with a ball and stuff. Same with hats. Cook it *gently* then rubberband the bill around a baseball.
Had the trash can version of this as a kid. Need to find one again. One of the best logos/setups ever.

Based on my experience in Boston, most interactions with Harvard students are straight out of Good Will Hunting. Not much love lost between BU and BC students. Definitely no love lost between BU/BC and Harvard students.

Hmmmmm....good point. Except for the fact there's approximately 300+ other bars in the same town that covers all of 2x4 miles. Also there's Homestead which is 2-3x bigger population-wise. So I'd say the competition is pretty stiff.That actually is wildly impressive with all the major places south of Miami
