Agreed. At least the WGN kids watched. They typically know guys Andre, Shawon, Sandberg, Wood, Prior, Grace...

More like Durham, Ryno, Bowa, Cey, Sut, Sarge, Moreland, and of course Jody Davis. One should never leave out Jody, Jody Davis, King of the Wild Frontier......

And, oh yeah, how about MY Cubbies!

Seriously though- if you start the game at 7:00 or 7:30, how much ad revenue are you losing vs. viewership gained on a weeknight?

Always wondered if today's young expert parents (my friends) tell their OWN parents how terrible, stupid, and irresponsible they were without all these fancy new MUST DO OR YOUR KID WILL DIE AND TURN OUT LIKE **** parenting techniques that are changed/updated every few months.

Would make for interesting holiday conversation, I'd think.

Chad should just write a fng book on what is and what isn't allowed under the sports rules for true fandom.

Who gives a flying **** why people decide to cheer for said team, especially professionally?

Good grief. Almost becoming a worst topic than politics.

GO FNG CUBS. FLY THE W UP ALL REDS' FANS ASSES. CHEERS TO HARRY CARY. KISS MY ***.

I've been driving the "Chase is a bad parent" bus for years now. Knew it from the moment I met him, thought to myself, "this dude is going to be a ******, overbearing parent."

I really should write a book- the only problem is the only people whose opinion I really care about- my true blue die hard peers- already know all of what I'm saying. I'd be preaching to the choir.

Anthony Davis is averaging....

32 points
12 rebounds
3 blocks
2 assists

....per game -- and the Pelicans are 0-5. For those of you who hate competitive balance, enjoy.

I get wcc trying to fight the good fight, but give it up, NKY friend. Just rest assured that some day, and that day will probably never come, should the Bengals or Reds accidentally win a 'ship, you'll feel a sense of awe that other fans will never experience.

Simple math. 2 dogs is harder than having 1 kid, this isn't complicated.

-Ursch's Pelicans need new ownership, that lineup is a complete joke. The other 4 dudes wouldn't start for Kentucky.

Louisvillians' inability to understand that most people's loyalty to pro teams is every bit as genuine as theirs to college teams is rather tone deaf. Get out of Louisville sometime.

When he bolts to play for a good team, as he absolutely should, the :fire:takes:fire: about how he should have stuck it out and built a championship team in NO are going to be awful.

Ironically, those same people give ten kinds of hell to the only dude on here who grew up in central Kentucky, and yet roots for North Carolina. I'm not sure why it's so difficult to apply this same reasoning to professional sports.

Disagree, Chad. Say that most new age fans of professional sports has little to do with where they grew up or whom they cheered for growing up and more to do with what city they currently live in... Especially with the NFL.

My sister has lived in LaFayette, La for 9 years now and frequents New Orleans often. She's adopted the Saints as her NFL team. My other sister isn't much a sports nut but she lived in Chicago for 2 plus years and loved to hang out and go to games in Wrigleyville. She became a casual Cubs fan. One of my best friends moved to Cincy 7 yrs ago with no NFL team and became a huge Bengals fan over time.

Would also argue that UL is kind of the city of Louisvillle's pro team. There's a solid portion of their fanbase that aren't die hard in the wool Louisvillians but they became UL fans bc they moved here for Brown Forman, YUM, etc.

Most big college fanbases are built around alumni and growing up in said state. Think pro fanbases are a little more bandwagon/flimsy and built around what city the fans live in.

Let me know when you have to wipe your dogs asses, get their clothes on, control their irrational rage or sadness in a public place, keep them from walking aimlessly into a pile of burning leaves, wash them every single day, teach them to do things other than not piss and **** in the house, etc...etc...etc...

I'm sure having two dogs is much tougher when you walk out the door and say "see ya in a few hours doggy" versus packing up a 2ft pile of flesh that is constantly rotating between eruptions of piss, ****, and emotion, is in constant motion, and won't STFU.

If you didn't have the basic human instinct to love them, you'd see a lot of babies thrown into traffic.

You're talking about two WOMEN. I have zero respect for the sports opinions of (most) women for that very reason.

I completely disagree that pro fanbases are anymore bandwagon than college fanbases. They're pretty much the exact same thing- although more people care about pro sports overall.

A lot of my UK friends would put the Reds and Bengals close or above their UK fandom.

I can't believe you're taking BBdK, PTI and me seriously on this one. Come on, Chase. Get it together.

Told all my 3 kids they could stay up until the end of the game. 08 made it to the end of the 5th. The other 2 bailed around the 3rd. 05 is starting to sleep a ton...11 or so hours a day usually.

My sister is a HUGE UK fan- just ask her. LOVES UK. Posts about it on Facebook all the time. Just went to Columbia last weekend with her husband to watch the Cats.

With that in mind, let me share an anecdote. It's December 2009, UK is locked into a barnburner with UConn in MSG. My sister is watching the game with me, cheering, trading high 5s. With two minutes to go in a two-point game, I see her go into her room. "Where are you going?" "To bed," she answers. "What? The game's almost over! We're up 2 with 2 to go." "I'm tired. Good night."

Ummm.....why do you care so much about other people's fandom?????

So what if she went to bed? She was tired. And it was late. Not everyone has to watch national championship games and follow sports to be a fan, you idiot.
