always cracks me up to see the random stupid **** the people are doing in these mock pics of new arenas/stadiums.

1. dude waving the UK flag. No one will ever do that.
2. 3 ****** cheering their asses off behind a bush with another ***** half assing his cheering behind em
3. dude in black cap at the very right wearing a UK shirt with the logo on the back that doesn't actually exist.

Just edit the pic to show a hand full of people showing up to the game halfway through the 2nd inning like what really happens at UK baseball.

Looks like a Loge Area with a bar is part of the new baseball stadium. [smoke]
All new sports venues are essentially conceived as machines to pump and distribute beer (as much as possible) around a space where games happen to be played.

I speak from a position of knowledge on this.

Packing in 10k would make for an awesome playoff experience when the amenities are designed for a capacity of 4k: More than double the wait time on restrooms mitigated by more than double the wait time on concessions, all in a concourse far narrower than it should be. Should be a wash.

That oral history of Mizzou's move to the SEC someone posted a few days back was fantastic.

Former Hoosier Todd Jadlow alleges:

That Knight punched him in the back of the head with a closed fist during a walkthrough for an NCAA Tournament game against Seton Hall.

That inside a sideline huddle during a 1989 game against Louisville – the game when Sports Illustrated famously captured a photo of the coach pushing Jadlow back onto the court — Knight cracked a clipboard over Jadlow’s head.

That after an NIT game in New York City, an enraged Knight once dug his hands so deeply into Jadlow’s sides, he left bruises. Jadlow includes a picture of the bruises Knight left; “It’s weird because I never carried a camera,” he was telling me Friday over a Stromboli at Nick’s. “But I had this thought, ‘You know, if I ever write a book about my experiences, I want to have a picture of what he did to me.’ ”
That Knight made a habit, with Jadlow and others, of grabbing players by the testicles and squeezing.

That Knight continually called Daryl Thomas a “(bleeping) p—–” and once instructed the managers to wallpaper Thomas’ locker with pictures of female genitalia. Knight also liked to throw tampons at Thomas, who took more abuse than anybody on Jadlow’s teams.
That on the flight home after the 1986 NCAA Tournament loss to Cleveland State, Knight tore up the plane and ultimately grabbed Thomas by the neck and shook him violently.

That Knight made sport of Jadlow’s facial tic in front of the entire team; in the book, former IU teammate Mark Robinson wrote that Knight yelled at Jadlow, “If you don’t stop the (bleeping) twitching, I’m going to throw your *** out of here.”

That during a practice, Knight forced Dean Garrett and Keith Smart to run hours of sprints while barking like dogs since they were, in his words, “playing like (bleeping) dogs.”

And that, Jadlow said recently, was just a partial accounting of Knight’s excesses.

“If he did those things today,” Jadlow said, “he (Knight) would be in jail.”

-:joy: @ Texas being the "most overrated big school." Don't really care about their # of titles. You know what's not overrated? Their ability to pay infinity and recruit within the state. Also, like Mac Brown, if you get in good with the boosters you make that real $$$ outside of coaching. They just made an awful hire with Strong. Can't think of a worse guy to deal with rich/needy boosters.

-Caught up on Westworld. Cool show. Be intersting to see which way it goes. Dolores... shew.

-Little man has decided his new wake up time is 6:30a. :weary:

-I was thinking about the UL thing. I wonder if they took it easy on the sanctions because they're going to remove a bunch of W's? Because coaches providing hookers to recruits and only getting 1 year of sanctions just doesn't pass the smell test. Even for the NCAA.

Deep down I know it isn't going to happen, but just reading this makes me :joy:

If the University of Louisville men's basketball team used players who were ineligible during the 2012-13 season because they received improper benefits in the form of sex or strippers, the school’s national championship and other victories almost certainly will be vacated

Really not sure what to do here guys. I mean, I grew up watching my cubbies on WGN, even got in fights with my mom over Ryne Sandberg hair...went to a game at Wrigley this summer too...but Major League is one of my all time favorite movies.

Cleveland. Easy call. I actually pulled 180 on that city after visiting because the people were so cool and unlike their brethren down in the ******* region of the state they actually have some damn good food.

Also, Cubs are the worst. This is damn near UL winning the championship in football for me.

He goes to bed at 8p, religiously, and I just said he "sleeps through the night like a champ."

For someone who reads a lot, you're awful at it.
