Does he get a bonus for us being the only SEC east team to beat a SEC west team so far this season? Because, per the Internet, that's the case.

A fan named Bryan, 38, hit it big in the Cubs' ticket lottery. What he didn't realize until he arrived Saturday was that the ticket placed him in Section 4, Row 8, Seat 113, the seat Steve Bartman was in for Game 6 of the 2003 NLCS

The Chicago Sun-Times caught up with the fan who was in the "Bartman seat" for Game 6 of the 2016 NLCS.

Bryan was not in the ballpark that night, “but I lived in the area and I was aware,” he said. “I was still a Tiger fan, to be honest. Now it’s Cubs. If a foul ball comes this way, I’m keeping my hands to myself.”

Probably was in awe of WGN.

Can't believe the way that line moved last night. Lots of broke degenerates walking around looking for that $1.99 buffet in Old Vegas last night, I'd imagine.

I know and I don't get it. I could see it 3.5 or even 4. But that move to 6 had to have heavy money involved.

I don't bet on games (anymore), but that worried me as a fan when I heard about it.

Hope they enjoyed "the yella" off the Cousin Eddie Buffet!

No idea why you don't use that 3rd down if you're Arizona. Your kicking team has struggled this year. Run Johnson one more time and he likely gets in for the TD.

Do I have Johnson in Fantasy? Sure I do.

Did I put some money on the Cards? Yup.

But either way, give your star back a shot with the extra down you have.

Per a rumor thread on the PowerMizzou board:

I'll get killed until this actually happens, but heard there is going to be a player walk out from a source connected to the team.

Numbers are rough, but heard it's 10 players, with several seniors leading the charge, and apparently it's not just defensive players.

Not shocking given the on field product. Looks like players have already quit.

-Wedding was just ridiculous. No idea what they spent but it was A LOT. Classy enough to have 2 flat screens right outside the dinner area with games on the whole time. Watch most of the 2nd half out there. Family dinner crew was as drunk as I've seen.

-Rolled home to my back deck full of the crew dancing to Bop Gun being played over SAE's cell phone. :joy: I'm not sure what our very ultra uber christian nanny thought about all that.

-Juice and Dorian, WTF? Catch the ball. Meanwhile Timmons came up big.

-ABH is right, we're the best of the cellar dwellers but at least they're wins and we are playing some very young dudes. Other than Toth and Jojo we have no seniors. Granted I'm assuming Boom isn't back next year. I'm just glad we're not starting over again.

-Started WestWorld last night. Weird show, first episode was decent and has a little promise but I can see where this will go too SciFi for me.

-Pretty sure we have no plans for the weekend [jumpingsmile]:cool2:

-Another solid weekend in gambol. Inching my way back from that terrible weekend.

Since my normal seat mate sold his tickets to MSU fans, I had to move to change the mojo. Sat with a lurker and his wife, things started to change....but then they scored with 1:10 left, his wife thinks its over, they leave...imagine she heard about missing being there for the kick the whole way home. Puppies.

He left early? Jesus what a fudpucker.

Good seeing you and 80 at the tailgate Bob. Stop by anytime.

We didn't leave Commonwealth Stadium until 1AM. What a victory. Between UK Football and Marcus McClinton, I BELIEVE!

Very disappointed in the lack of attendance. If you're a UK fan, you better have you *** in the seats come UGA. Come drunk. Be loud.

Had a blast at the Huber tailgate, nice spot they got set up there. That blackberry was :fire:. Good seeing SGNI, 80, Fylm, and Century.

Did the Keeneland/Game double header. It was fun, but outside of some very extenuating circumstances, I prefer to just pick one.

Downtown was hopping after the game. No shootings that I was aware of.

Went to a buddy's farm yesterday. Shot some clays and pistols, big fire going, they roasted a whole lamb. Lasses were sipping cider, really starting to feel like fall.

Almost made a last second decision to go to the game, but it's hard to rally the troops at $50/ticket (for 5)...kids understanding math does not help matters. Wait, you are paying $50 per ticket for a Kentucky Football game? So that's $250 for all of us? Whoa. Do you know how many XBox games and Legos that would buy? :weary:

So we ended up at the Middle School: Worst Years of my Life movie. And then came home and watched the Cats and Cubs on dueling tvs (imagine that KGar...watching 2 games at once!!!!....craziness....lol).

Love Kentucky's running game...Snell and Boom is about as good as a 1-2 punch as you can ask for.

Bowl should be a lock...should...but you never know. Just stick to the basics...running the ball, and grind out 2 more wins.

Cubs and Indians in the World Series? What?

the stadium reseating cluster plus the abortion-like collapses against Vandy, UL, SMiss broke a whole bunch of fans. don't think even a win this weekend will get them to come to CWS again. maybe in 2017 after a bowl.

but that is OK, those who have come the last 3 games against USC, Vandy, State have been good. student sections surprisingly best of all.

I just love Eddie Gran. given the limits with Johnson at QB & with 2 weeks to prepare he threw a whole bunch of new stuff out there. BoomCat for the 1st time this season. Wildcat with Johnson in motion. That unsucessful 2 pt conversion play was crazy, didnt work but loved the aggression & going with momentum.

We were down 3-14, and were a stupid Johnson fumble from on our way to blowing them out 41-24 early in the 4th? what?

I know everyone is saying the NFL is awful right now, but - man - the NFL is awful right now. You basically have the Patriots (who really aren't that great themselves) and a bunch of mediocre to garbage teams. That Arizona-Seattle game last night was an abortion. The fact that it ended in a 6-6 tie after both kickers missed chip shot FGs was the most appropriate end to a game you'll ever see. Pure solid butt.

'73 acts like tickets were $5 or something last year or recently.

Kentucky's ticket prices are the second lowest in the SEC, just above Vanderbilt -- which is exactly how it should be.

Kentucky, Vanderbilt
These are the bargain buys. Kentucky offers the “pocket pass,” which nets you all seven home games for just $175. Per UK’s web site, the pass “is 100% mobile and allows you the opportunity to watch the game from various viewpoints in the stadium with a different seat each week.” A neat idea that’s affordable, as well, relative to other SEC football offerings. In fact, the Wildcats offer approximately 20,000 football season tickets with no K Fund donation attached. Vanderbilt is even cheaper, with an option that comes out to $20 per game. Tennessee, Ole Miss and Florida go to Nashville this year, you know.

Thoughts: There is a $635 difference between Vanderbilt’s least expensive option and Auburn’s. You could buy season tickets for nearly three other SEC schools with that money alone. Don’t do that, though. Your kids have to eat too.

Somehow winning games with glaring holes on both sides of the ball, and a QB that (hate to say it bc he plays his *** off) just isnt very good is beyond comprehension. I get that the competition is pretty awful right now but whatever.

I had gone into full blown redass at our effort to give that game away late, then that kid buries one from 50+... weird to come out on top of that game.

Publix allows you to make your own bag of jelly belly's now. Pretty epic. i go heavy with the sour cherry, dreamsicle, and the dr. pepper ones.

Flight gets into Chicago friday afternoon, enough time to drop bags off and head to Wrigleyville. Will be there for Friday and Saturday games meeting a couple buds. Dad trying to make it work but hes battling a bad back and doesnt think standing in the cold for hours in a crowd of thousands is going to be the answer for his rehab.

Mizzou is a disaster. Losing to Southern Miss was bad stuff, but we've got teams losing to South Alabama and MTSU so I mean **** happens I guess.

$50 for a ticket aint awful, hoss. I get that paying that X's 5 is pretty rough but thats a pretty reasonable ticket in this day and age.

Schwarber potentially DH'ing in the WS? Not sure I buy that. the WS aint the Arizona Fall league. I still think they deal him this off season anyway. Need to replenish the prospect cupboard plus he is pretty awful in left field.

If all major sports would contract 2-4 teams, reduce the number of games by ~5%, and generally "stay in their lane" vis-a-vis exposure we would all be better off. Never happen, for obvious reasons, but it would work.

Actually it used to be pretty easy to get tickets out front for $5/pop. Went to the Vanderbilt game, and couldn't find anything less than $50/per. At the gate, it's $60/per. 07 and I walked around for a good 30 minutes trying to find freebies or cheap tickets...nada. And there were lots of other people like us. Fact is, there isn't much resale on UK season tickets anymore. They cost so much, that people keep them if they have them. 5-10 years ago, there were $25 face value tickets for a lot of games, and the stadium had a bigger capacity. There were also more season ticket holders. With 10,000 less seats, the supply of "extras" just isn't there. Plus, I'm buying for 5...not 2. And season tickets aren't an option, as we are only able to attend 2-3 games or so a year...at best.

-$50 per ticket? :joy: False. I assume you could have either gotten them free by walking around or for $10 on stubhub. Just buy 4-5 random tickets and sit together in the numerous vast empty sections. I get the time commitment and concessions and hassle associated with it but ticket prices would be the last worry. A little effort and I'd wager you could've gotten in for <$50 total.

-I agree with the Gran love. Need to give him some $$ to keep the consistency.

FWIW, if you want to attend the Austin Peay game, Stubhub(typically 20% more than the scalper market) has about 1,000 tickets for $10ea. UGa is $35/ea.

'73 needs to ride around with someone for awhile and learn how to enter Commonwealth Stadium.

If you can't get in a Vandy or Miss St game for under $50 per when we suck, that's your own damn fault, TS. There were 5-10K (or more?) empty seats Saturday night, and about 25K empty for Vandy.

Like Anth said, with a little effort, you could have gotten in for $50 TOTAL most likely. Stubhub has uppers for next to nothing for every game, and you can sit wherever you want.

Going 4-1 with a starting QB who can't throw and claims that he healed his Tourette's Syndrome with prayer has to be up there on the most Kentucky football thing ever list.

Johnson isn't the best passer but the WRs had some big drops on Saturday. Much more worried about his jelly hands fumbling the f*cking ball. Fall down and cover the ball, man. ****. The first one was an OLine fumble the costly one was him being a damn idiot.

Meh, well don't have a family, I guess.

Same people who bitched and moaned for years and years about our stadium, facilities, and money spent on Football are many of the same people bitching about Ticket price increases.

Again, we're the 2nd cheapest ticket in the SEC, and we're the 2nd worst program. It's 2016, things are more expensive today than they were 5, 10, 15, years ago, that's correct.

If $50 isn't worth it to go see the SEC East championship contending Wildcats, then maybe you aren't the fan you thought you were.

I'm the GYERO resident NFL-ball and I agree with this. I went to the Bengals game yesterday and even that was awful. Kind of a ho-hum game outside of a few plays, a lot of that being due to Cleveland being so awful. And the other games on TV were pretty awful too.

College has two natural advantages that the NFL will never have, and it has nothing to do with "paegentry" or "tradition"- neither of which translate to the actual game broadcast:

1. Full slate of games- the only upside of college games taking 4 1/2 hours is once you get to the 4th quarter of the noon games, the rest of the day is finding close 4th quarters/starting bigger matchups. If the game you're watching now sucks, chances are there's a crazy ending happening on another channel, or a better matchup starting up. Just like the opening weekend of the NCAAT. Meanwhile the NFL is more like the Elite 8 games- you're limited to 1 game, maybe 2, but that's it (unless you have the RZ Channel but even then you'll only have 4-5 to pick from in the afternoon.)

2. Future Enterprise clerks playing in the secondary. This is the biggest source of entertainment and shootouts, imo. Outside maybe Alabama recently (outside their kickers), every college team has guys out there who you can count on to have some tremendous touch ups- blown coverage, missed tackle, DICKFINGERS, etc. that leads to exciting plays/turnovers, etc. A lot of these guys play on special teams- leading to fun punt/kick returns and/or blocks- or are the 5/6 DBs in nickel and dime packages that become the standard defenses in some games. The NFL, outside of maybe Cleveland, is usually filled with pretty good players at every position so while the quality of down to down play may be better, it's not as entertaining as watching a future State Farm regional rep trying to cover Peter Warrick.

The NFL does have better/closer gambol and FFB though.
